The fact that y'all built this in 10 minutes is astounding, well done
Thanks

I can do it in 9 minutes 😮

😜🤪😜🤪😜!
Love it, when people can have a great sense of humor.
You remind me of somebody else, that's like you:ME!!!
Have a great weekend!
I love to see the wife as the best helper. Reminds me of my wife 🤣. Good job 👍
Yes, thank you
SHE IS GREAT HELPER...MAKES A JOB GO SMOOTH WHEN YOU HAVE THE RIGHT HELPER..AND YOU GOT ONE...
I agree!
Amazing build and great teamwork. I wish my wife was that helpful when I'm struggling out in the backyard building stuff all by myself. LOL.
Thank you 😊
Now, that is a high quality shed. Puts some windows in it, insulate it, it’s a small house!
Thanks Robert, it is definitely solid.
Only thing i care about is the wife out there with you 💪🏾. That’s love.
😀
Definitely using that rafter jig on my build. That was awesome.
I wish you the best with your build!
Have watched this several times and just figured out that you are left handed. Interesting to watch another left hander work with a left hand assembly mindset and approach. I’m building a 10x12 shed right now and ready to start the roof. Good video. Thanks
Thank you and I wish you the best with your shed build! Us lefties are in our right mind LOL 😁
I do prefabrication for barns, studios, and garages.. this is some quality work brother!
Thank you, we really appreciate that!
Nice shed,I never put my hand so close to the saw blade but that's just me
Being able to watch someone’s skill is so helpful. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Inspiring and you had your girl helping, nice
Yes, thanks

That was the inspiration I was looking for. TKS
Using gravel for footers..first time I’ve seen this done. Nice build and looks great 👍 Thanks for sharing !
Thanks 👍
A thing OF beauty, great team work.
Thank you kindly!
Amazing! So simple just some basic tools and wood! I love it!
Thank you very much!
Love the teamwork. Really nice job.

Neato, y’all should be proud
Thank you!
Absolutely awesome build! The rafters and loft are really cool
Thanks Sean, we appreciate that!
Nice job I like it
Thumbs up for the southpaw 👍
🤙
You have a good helper, buddy. 👍🏼makes diy much easier if they can help like that. Kudos
Thanks Rikk! It's nice having a good helper.
That was really cool to see all the steps! It looks awesome. 😎
Thanks! 😁
thank you very much for this video I'm almost done building a 10x12 on my backyard.
Thanks for watching and enjoy your new shed!
GOOD JOB,I LEARNED SOME TIPS,LOVE HOW YOU DID THE RAFTERS.
Thank you, I'm glad it helped you out.
Superb build, and well thought out video.. 🙌🙌🙌 cheers Rob (another shed enthusiast 😁💪)
Thank you, I appreciate that! 👍 Thanks for stopping by!
I love how you approach this build. Fantastic job.
Thank you Gene, we appreciate that.
I built the same size with also 8/12 pitch. I added a window beside the offset double doors. My neighbors that bought the pre built sheds already wish they had more loft space. Great videos!
Nice work!
Awesome build, thank you.
Glad you like it, thanks for watching!
Beautiful job.
Thank you, we appreciate that!
Great job!!! One of the best diy shed builds I've seen. Saw some tricks that will help me in my diy project. You are a true craftman..
Wow, thanks I appreciate that J! Thanks for stopping by and have fun with your project!
You make it look so easy! Good job 👍👌!
Thank you! 😊
Like the idea of the upper deck. NICE.
Thank you Jim!
the truss template was genius...
Yes, it works well. We didn't invent it though. That method is used quite often for DIY shed building so we used it and it's the way to go IMO.
Nice shed would love this in my garden.
Thank you James :)
Nicely done, I am now inspired to build one for my backyard. Great construction tips.
Thank you Zachary and I wish you the best with your project.
And just think:If you built one of these babies, with a bit of indoor work, you could have a rental place for someone to live in. That's more money in your pocket!
Lol...that therapeutic to watch... nice job👍
Thanks 👍
This is how it is done, your video was spot on and very good help btw. Keep it up!
Much appreciated!
😆 You all make it look so easy Im gonna be by myself Im not in no hurry Im retired lol and Loving it !
Slow and steady wins the race. 👍
This is amazing. So helpful to see every step. And so entertaining the way you did the time lapse with all the sounds sped up and everything included. Love it!
Thanks Mark, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Yes indeed they so good. Real professional. I wondered how can I contact them. .
These guys aren't professional. A 12x16 is 6h build
Ryan Bowling - You're right, we are not professionals. We are DIYers and we built it ourselves. We weren't interested in paying more than twice the price for a shed that was slapped together in a half a day. It takes time to build it right.
Thanks for share this video!!!
You’re welcome thanks for stopping by.
Great build, love it.
Thanks!
Excellent craftmanship, well thought out . I built one 16 X 12 .Mine was for more of a work shop. Still nice size, BUT ,after the tables were built and tools brought in , wished I'd built it alot larger. Even 16 X 24 .No room to store 48" lawn mower .
I completely understand. I think I will always want a bigger shed or workshop :) We built the biggest shed we could build without needing to mess with permits. It's also the biggest shed we could put in the area we had available. If we run out of room we'll sell some stuff. LOL
Absolutely 💯 great job
Much appreciated
Awesome vid 👍 gonna be building myself one of these this spring
Thank you Alex Alex! I wish you the best with your build and thanks for stopping by 👍👊
Did you?

I wanna build this for a home theater
Nice, especially with help, last year we did a deck, veranda , this year 16x16 2 storey with 4 16 x 12 extension , foot print will be ➕ , built many cabins in the far at edge of boreal forest N.w.Ont.
Very nice, sounds like you have been busy.
Good video 🙏
Thanks for visiting!
Fantastic job guys, simple n straight to the point 🏆✌🏼🍻
Thank you and thanks for stopping by! 👍
Termites will love that. Yum yum.
Never put lumber on the ground.
The lumber isn’t on the ground
@@DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10 Concrete, masonry blocks or some product standard for building, to elevate lumber above the soil at least 6"-8" for insect control future leveling, moisture and adequate ventilation among other things.
Not saying it's a bad job. Just saying...
Good job
Thank you
Buen trabajo...saludos d mexico
Gracias
Better cap that soffit. Birds and wasps will have a field day. Nice shed!
You're right, working on that project at the moment. Thanks!
Impressive
Thank you
Enjoyable video. Thank you for sharing it with us!
You're welcome Reid and thank you for watching!
Wow what a beast , look at you, there you go BOY 💪🏻👊
Thanks Antonio! Happy Holidays to you guys! 👍👊
FYI, my new video of the YesWelder MIG 250 PRO with Spool Gun Aluminum welding will be up tomorrow (Sun Jan 2, 2022) at NOON MST. Just incase you didn't already know. I think you'll like it! See you there my friend 😀
I would highly suggest putting at least 2 cross ties on the rafters to help prevent the walls from spreading outward, especially if you live in a region with any kind of snow load.
Thanks for the suggestion but I won't have any issues with the walls spreading outward, I did this instead. czcams.com/video/2JeYC-1dpas/video.html
Great video, my only concern is rot and wind. I was planning to build mine on a concrete pad to get it off the ground. The second thing is storms, where I live high winds have lifted unsecured sheds like yours and deposited them on the street.
Good points, you definitely should build to suit your local weather conditions. Maybe some hurricane straps for the high winds.
This is one of the best videos I've seen on building a shed. Did you work from some plans that you can share by any chance?
Thank you! We just designed it as we built it so we didn't use any plans.
Im 70 and watching both of you with shovel in hand made my back hurt just sitting in my truck....cool video though
Thank you Cliff
@@DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10 you are welcome....and it was neat watching you guys put that together.....made it look way easier than it actually is...
It definitely looks easier than it was but we are happy with the results. Thanks for watching Cliff, we appreciate it!
@@DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10 👍
7:13 What did you put to join the top and bottom outside shell? (blue strip) 9:25 did you repeat a DIY truss on the outside of the wall with same wood also? - Did you just paint the fascia or did you do aluminum? The corner of the building. What type and size of trim board did you use out here? 8:33 did you do a roof vent the whole length or just 4ft in the center? Perfect video, just needs a little more parts list.
I don't mean to be that guy however.... I wouldn't set it directly on the ground treated lumber or not. Also that Vapor Barrier is just going to trap mouster under the frame and grow tons of black mold also critters are going to biuld and nest under that. Over all great job. I would have did the floor differently is all. 👍🏻 BUT it Looks good once again.
Are the rafters not supposed to be over wall studs? Double 2x4 over top of wall is for side stability, not roof support.
Awesome build! I’m guessing you don’t have wasps there? Leaving the soffit open like that seems like a risk.
Thanks Josh! Oh yes we have a lot of wasps here. I completely agree with you on the open soffits. That is one of my next projects before spring arrives. I'm going to use metal window screen to fabricate some soffit vents on this shed.
Definitely the man cave
Yes it is JT
Same size and looks almost identical. Mine does have about double size lofts though. More room for stuff i wont find for 10 yrs. Looks great, but holy mama that was a lot of nails. 🤣🤣🤣
Very nice! Yes it was a lot of nails. Thanks for stopping by 👍
Great video and a great build Bruce, as we say here in the UK, is there anything you can't turn your hand to? 😊
Thanks Thomas! I'm a lucky guy, I was blessed with a mind to figure things out and somehow find a way to do it. I guess I fall into the category of "more skills than money". LOL
Great build - thanks for sharing. Quick question, what are the dimensions for the door opening? width & length?
The door opening is 62" W by 80" T. Here is a video with more info on the door build if you are interested. czcams.com/video/-s5FJIsCV6k/video.html
Excellent. Wish I knew how much it cost to build it. Today Sept2022 lumber they say is down 65% so I better get on mine
Pricing info is in the video description.
@@DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10 So sorry I did not notice and thank you for letting me know.
No problem Jason, I wish you the best with your project.
…very cool!…
Thank you!
nice shed im building something similar to that if dont mind me asking what are the measurements of the doors and how far is it from the corners
Thanks Derrick, the video below should help answer your questions about the door details.
czcams.com/video/-s5FJIsCV6k/video.html
Any chance you could do a detailed video of how you did and worked out the roof truss angles etc ..
I am definitely not the best person to do a how to video on that subject. There are many good videos out there on how to properly build the roof trusses. I used a speed square to draw the 8 - 12 pitch lines on the rafters and I also used an online roof truss calculator to help with the remainder of the measurements. I just googled "roof truss calculator" and used one of the free calculators that came up. After some trial and error and some fiddling around we finally came up with what you see in the video.
Here is a link to a video that helped us out building the roof trusses. czcams.com/video/LnsYhKHZEkI/video.html
Do you have the supply list for this shed. If not may I ask were can I get one. Thank you awesome job. We any to do the loft as well
No, sorry. We just designed it as we built it.
Brasil 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷👍👍👍
👍👍👍
Great job! Do you have a print or measurements?
Thank you! No I just designed it as I built it. The outside measurements of the floor base are 12' X 16'. 2X6 floor joists 16" on center. Wall 2x4 studs are 16" on center. 2x6 trusses are 24" on center with a 12 - 8 pitch. The walls are 7' 6" from the floor to the top of the double rafter plate. It's all sitting on three 4X6X16 treated runners on a bed of gravel. Hope this helps.
