I hade alot of bars Tsumura bars are great love them however I just bought my first cannon dura lite and pricey but stiff really nice bars aswell love watching these vanier trees go over we really dont have them were I am so cool to see the difference in the cutting technique keep up the great work and keep looking up
Sugi Bars and Tsumura Bars are still hard to get hold of in the UK. I agree the standard Husqvarna bars are heavy compared to the Stihl ES Light and the Japanese bars. I am really enjoying your videos.
Hope your dad is doing well. Nice felling those trees. I wish I had a 395 but I really don’t cut enough wood to justify one. I have a Frankenstein MS 660 that I use for milling occasionally equipped with Oregon bars. Everything else from 20 to 28 inches is Tsumara.
Husky "X-tough Light" bars are made by Tsumura. Have not used Tsumura branded bars so i can not say if they are equal but i have heard that its just a rebrand.
Stihl bars are good right until they aren't. That sealed bearing in the nose sprocket is very low maintenance, but since you can't grease it it'll eventually overheat, lose all its grease, and bind up. I'll stick with my sugi bars and nose greasers. Stihl light bars are about as light as they come though, and there's something to be said about that.
77 230 D Timberjack still in use on farms and small jobs. Still scratching my head on the bar choice. I have done grinder negotiation to make them work on a Husqvarna or Jred . You have tried the Husqvarna titanium bar ?
No I run tsumaras but they weren’t available for a while. There’s a easy adapter to mount stihl bars. I’m going to make a video about the bars I use in the future.
Unfortunetly i found myself being asked by land owners to fell dead ash trees around the houses. That horrible ash boror has infested many ash trees around here the last few years. Glad you arent wasting your talent on them. Keep up the great work and video making man!
Best wishes to your father, u want to get rid of one of those stihl bars 24” 3/8 lmk , have a 28” holzforma bar on my clone saw g372 , been wanting to get a lil smaller bar for it to, used bars prly in my price range 😂 lmk 👌🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
i absolutely love your videos man. the chill vibe i get while watching a screaming husky fell some trees brings me to a calm state of mind. ...... and on a side note i'm probably transitioning to using square ground chains because they claim superiority in cutting speed if done right but i was just wondering what your opinion is on square ground chains
I’m glad you like my channel and appreciate the comment. Ok so here’s my thoughts It seems like a huge pain to file or you need to grind them. I run stihl 33rs or x-cut. I can quickly file them and consistently run a sharp saw all day. It seems to me that guys running square ground are running a dull saw most of the time. So having a chain that runs better in perfect conditions doesn’t do any good in the real world. Now if someone can prove me wrong I’ll listen but so far the maths been on my side of this one.

Was your old man a faller too?
@KevinsDisobedience no he owned a machine and weld shop but cut with me when he had the time. He takes firewood pretty serious also.
Mr. GF has anyone told you that you could be a radio announcer or a TV anchor interviewer ? you got the voice for it.
Thank you.

Hard to get good bars is a real pain. I’m glad your enjoying the channel!
Love the old timber jacks 👍
Pulled a lot of wood with those old jacks. I

@@Good.FellersAny preference between Tsumara and Sugihara? Also, you make all this look so easy, brother!
@travisgilbert8416 hey thank you
I don’t like Sugi haras because they flex to much in my opinion

Thanks for sharing. Better to see walnut being cut than a bunch of dead ash. Kinda expected to see you spur cut. Understand the reason you didn't.
I spur cut the big woods trees for sure. But not by the house. You will NEVER see me cutting dead ash.

@@Good.Fellers you're definitely right. round filing can be done all day long whereas square filing takes more skill and focus to work properly
So I can’t see the benefits of having a dull square filed chain most of the day.
@@Good.Fellers Most loggers running square grind carry 4-6 chains with them and sharpen at home. Different strokes for different folks.
@smallcoppercoins01 math doesn’t make sense to me, but what do I know.
Nothing beautiful about a cornfield
👌
cant argue about how ugly them stupid windmill look in high quality corn and bean fields. love the content buddy.
