Using an iPad as a musician in 2024

- These days I've stopped using paper music entirely and have gone completely digital. In this video I talk of upgrading to the larger 12.9 iPad four years ago and offer some thoughts on whether using a tablet for sheet music is something you want to do.
Definitely check out my other videos talking about iPads (and about forScore, which to me is the best app for reading sheet music and the reason I got an iPad in the first place): www.harptuesday.com/category/...

I currently use 2 music stands so I don't have to turn pages. After this episode, I purchased a foot pedal and am beginning to get set up on my iPad. My practice area has binders and sheet music lying around which need to be dealt with and organized. I hope this will work for me. I'm working on it! Thanks for your input, Josh!
😊I just got my 13 inch iPad few hours ago ,can’t wait to use it for music sheet.
Nice, have fun!
This video and the previous one concerning the use of the IPad in music are unavoidable on the technical and practical level but also in view of the various worries to use this tool. Very helpful.
In 2022 I bought a Lenovo Tab P11 (11 inch) for about 250 €. But I still prefer to play music from Paper.
I don't suppose adding the pedal to your already full feet with the harp pedals, isn't a problem after a bit of practice?
I have been using the big ipad since about 2016 but have not been able to use it for a whole church service as the battery goes down so quickly. Was tempted to buy a newer one but not if the battery life is just as bad.
This new one battery is better( 13 inch )I play in church too
Buy an external battery pack and plug it in.
@@pattscrivenerartist yup did that but the ipad drained faster than it charged
@@torithemusician Maybe a new battery would solve your problem then.
A new iPad will definitely have a longer battery life to start with! All batteries degrade over time - my 4th gen 2020 iPad can still easily last for a number of hours but certainly doesn't have the battery life it did when it was new.
