Ahoy Mates!
Welcome onboard Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas! We are sailing seven nights from Galveston, Texas on a Western Caribbean itinerary visiting Roatan Honduras, Costa May Mexico, and Cozumel Mexico! We are onboard this Freedom Class ship to try some new offerings, such as the Tidal Wave waterslide, Saturday Night Fever theatre show, and Sabor modern Mexican cuisine restaurant! There are also many Royal Caribbean staples onboard such as Studio B ice skating rink, Perfect Storm waterslides, FlowRider surf simulator, and Windjammer buffet!
It’s boarding day! This is our first time on this ship as well as our first time sailing out of Port of Galveston, and it was memorable one! It was an oddly chilly day for the area, and we were not prepared! But even with the arctic temperatures, we showed and explained important port and parking information! Once onboard, we had fun exploring the ship, checking out our stateroom, and enduring the cold for our first Galveston sail away! And we finally received the news we’ve all been waiting for… Windjammer dinner is BACK!!!

We have used EZ Cruise parking a few times until we found out about the Lighthouse Cruise Parking, it’s the Best in Galveston! Great cruise video, we have cruised on the Liberty 5 times cuz it’s been in Galveston for so many years, glad to see the Allure coming this year.

FYI your hair is adorable AND yes thats common for our weather. And it doesnt happen overnight, we can have it happen in the same day! Welcome to Texas!!! Also remember, Galveston port looks industrial because its a working port, not just cruising. Lots of oil and shipping!!

When we were on Anthem on the first night the ship was rocking all night long and the hangers were clanking so much my wife got up in the middle of the night and grabbed all of them and put them on the floor. I sleep like a log so didn't bug me.

We typically drop our luggage off at the drop off area and then someone waits with the carry-on items while the car is parked off site. You need to know about the cruise port a bit in advance but it makes it easier to take advantage of the off site parking.

Ditto, we always park at Easy and I wait at the door, we check our luggage first, then he walks over. Sometimes we have time for a latte at Starbucks across the highway.

Texas weather is a lot like Colorado. If you don't like the weather just wait 15 minutes, it will change. lol Pretty good night aesthetic. You should start rating them, like Jay (ParoDeeJay) does with the bathrooms/showers. 100% agree on Windjammer for dinner. Relaxing and no rush, what could be better than that? Yes, Texas can be 85 degrees one day, 37 degrees the next day and 78 degrees 2 days later. Glad you had a great sail away.

Have used that parking before 2x they are nice but sometimes the shuttle gets overwhelmed and it's a bit of a wait compared to port parking. Taking my daughter on Liberty this summer for her 18th with 4 stops should be a BLAST. Love your videos keep them coming.

YES!!! Very common in Texas to suddenly get a cold front. Most the time, the weather is amazing, but be prepared for a cold front pushing down from the north. It happens like twice a winter but it does happen.

The weather? Totally common. I live about 45 minutes to an hour away. There is one thing about southeast Texas weather. Wait a minute...it will change. We can go from 70 one day and 30 the next during winter. Especially on the coast.

I really like this channel !! What time did you get on the ship initially? I heard you can arrive early in the morning and Royal will let you on. I am going on my first cruise in a few months but I am unsure what time I should book my arrival airplane flight. The ship I will go on will depart at 4:30pm.

holy cow, the parking you paid is way too high... I sailed just a few weeks ago and it was around $64 using parking lot A and they had shuttles. So sorry you had to walk in the cold to the ship.
