  • It's not often I write a title with so much confidence but I promise you these sausage rolls are out of this world. Rich in flavour with some seriously magical surprises. If you give one recipe on my channel a go, THIS IS THE ONE. And the Chicken & Tarragon Pie, and the Chocolate Cake, and the Hot Chocolate Martini... oh, and the Beer Battered Fish.

    You know, I think a thin bit of mustard on the pastry before the Parma ham would cut the heaviness just a bit and make this even more perfect. I'll be making this this week!

    Having been in hospitality and restaurants for over 32 years, I cringe every time she runs her hands through her hair and then touches her utensils. And I really do appreciate brevity. Getting to the subject at hand would be appreciated. Love the recipe.

    I'd sub out the prosciutto and instead add some thin sliced cherry wood smoked bacon. For the cheese I’d use a mix of Havarti and aged sharp cheddar for a bit of a bite with a creamy finish. Of course I’d have a side of Sriracha mayo and spicy brown mustard for dipping :)

      I did Your recipe, but added like 3 generous tbs of sugar ( they puffed up, but when I got them out of oven they sat, I got them out too early?). Served them with icecream

    Care to explain sausage meat for a Swede, how do you get that, or what is it made of, as it looked like it wasn't coming out of a sausage?
    In Sweden for the past years, ish, fresh sausage has become a thing, before we only (sort of) had precooked, presmoked sausage, ready to eat if hunger is a huge thing, stuffed in a skin of dubious making. And although I still like our precooked stuffed sausage in a skin, you definitely cant compare a precooked chorizo with a fresh one taste wise. Nor is a precooked one as versatile as a fresh one, I mean a quick Italian inspired pasta dish with small balls of Salsiccia flavored with fennel is just amazing!
    So back to my original question, what is it you refer to when you say sausage meat? Is it something you buy by kilo or is it just sausage meat that you have squirted out of its skin?

      I live in the UK though and it's just called "sausage meat" or "minced sausage", usually with pork but sometimes lamb or another meat.

      It's minced pork (usually) with a bit of extra fat, lots of seasonings and spices usually too depending on the flavor you want. Or you could literally take the meat out of the skin as you say!

      We don't have it here in Denmark either - But if you go to your butcher or maybe an italian supermarket you might get lucky! I found it once in Copenhagen.

      It’s literally sausages, but without the skin. You can buy butcher or supermarket sausages and take off the skin, just keep the meat

      In America it's ground (minced) pork. You can add your seasonings to it like sage, fennel, paprika, salt, pepper, etc. Whatever you want really.

    I was looking at the "parma ham" confused cause it looked like prosciutto...so I googled and they're the same thing...I'm still confused 😂

      Jesse James Parma is prosciutto from Parma obviously. my favourite prosciutto is San Daniele, see if you can get your hands on that one

    Just a Suggestion - even though you washed your hands and this food is yours for you to eat, please on camera stop playing with your hair and then touching the food. Its kind of off-putting.

      That's very valuable advice and something I am trying to work on. We often shoot multiple videos on the same day so I try to change my hairstyle so the videos have more variety to them, however, I often forget how impractical it is to have my hair down! Thank you though. Very very much appreciated x

      Its okay, a lot of people do it, its kind of a habit or maybe people not fully aware they do it. There are famous Chefs that do the same thing and a lot of people doing it on CZcams. Some even cough in their hand and touch the food. I guess I am more aware because when I cook for others, I am sooooo over the top in ensuring that I dont do that. Yeah tying your hair back would be one way of stopping that to a point. PS. Great Video though and your bubbly personality is fantastic. Keep up the great work.

      First rule my mother taught in the kitchen is pull your hair back...I agree, you'll find your way. More cooking, less personality, you're trying too hard. Said with love, read and delete. ❤

    over here in Canada we call it Wor chester sauce :-). You are a lively bundle of positive energy. Camera man has to work hard to keep you in center and focus with your fun filled movements. loved your recipe, off to my kitchen to give them a go.
