I'm still hoping that they'll make a Plasma Series version of the Ecto-1A too, if only because GB2 has always held a soft spot in my heart and I wanna see it get a bit more love.

I hope Hasbro makes a six inch scale ecto-1 to scale with the Plasma Series Figures
Hasbro didn't, not yet anyway. But Lego has.. Lol.. The Plasma figures go incredibly well with the Lego Ecto-1.
Honestly I feel like the whole "that's on you" thing is a bit out of line. I've been an avid collector of marvel Legends for years and in pretty well versed in how the world of adult collecting works, but when I saw this on the shelf in stores I initially thought it was big enough for the other figures in the plasma series. It wasn't until watching this video when I saw that it was too small. So if I didn't make that realization, imagine the average parent trying to buy toys for their kid and sees the ecto-1 and a bunch of Ghostbusters all in the same style box, all labeled plasma series, they're going to assume they're all compatible. Shifting the blame back to consumers saying they should have done their research before buying just doesn't sit right with me.
hasbro should have made the packaging distinct enough for people to know that it's not compatible with the 6-in figures or even included a couple figures that are in scale with the car in a window so people can see that it's smaller, something other than what they did.
It's definitely not on the buyer as it is from the same line of figures with the title "Plasma" in it. If it is not in scale and compatible with the Plasma line of figures they really should not have put it under the Plasma series.
I'm with you. This dude is nothing but a Hasbro kiss ass. Hasbro has been dropping the ball with Ghostbusters. Big time. The plasma series isn't even 1/12 scale. They got the property rights to produce toys and we've got a wave one. Glow in the dark repaints and then a lackluster wave from the Afterlife movie. Diamond Select has produced way more high quality toys without these Shill reviews.
@@TheInfinityLion I definitely think the diamond select figures were better. Better sculpts, build-a-dioramas, and a better selection. They weren't perfect though, the GB1 figures were notorious for missing the piece that connects the plasma stream to the neutrino wand. And some of the figures just felt like they were only there to sell you a diorama piece (Quitting time Ray for example) but I definitely think Diamond Select did a better job with the license than Hasbro.
@@BYWhistory at least we got a Louis and Janine. And they scaled well with each other ya know. Plasma just shat all over fans I feel. And the second wave worse with no mention of more figures. And hasbro re releasing all of the kenner classics and no firehouse was idiotic.
I bought it seeing that it said plasma series and assumed it went with the figures of the same name. It's an honest assumption that lots of people have honestly made. Anybody that hasn't been digging way into this stuff could make that assumption its not unreasonable lol. If those people want to be mad about it they should be able to. Like I said there is a reasonable capacity for the confusion so Hasbro does bare some of the weight on that. It's not completely their fault though but the people who assumed that shouldn't just be pushed off. In the future it would be a good idea to keep things of a series name in the same scale. Just make things easier.

Get and build the Lego Ecto-1. You'd be amazed at it being in scale with the Plasma figures for a nice looking display.

Got mine. I'm happy with it. Especially a fan of ghostbusters. It's amazing and I will cherish it. With my egon and mini pufts. Plasma series. But I would recommend it. Also the video has been good. And worth it thank you. 😊👏❤️👍.

Good thing you mentioning that the plasma series ecto on scale doesn't fit my figures inside,i was ready to buy it for this reason but thank god you are there to solve the mystery thanks man! They should do it to fit though to tell you the truth,a little higher price lights and sound and presto! It is kinda misleading when they saying plasma series as well with the vehicle to be honest!
I'm getting mine next week, Toys R Us finally got it in stock! (oddly when the trailer dropped, so that's pretty cool; everything happens for a reason!)

Hey Ghostbusters Afterlife was supposed to come out today but it got delayed AGAIN lol!!!! :o Love the review btw you can check on the boxes to see if you're getting a "burned" Ecto 1 or a normal one!!!! :D I hope Hasbro releases figures that fit on this one because this Ecto 1 is so cool hehe!!!! :D

Dude this is so weird, because Iv'e recently been working on a proton pack to go with my Hasbro Neutrino wand, and I had a similar problem waiting a month for the tubing kit to arrive (also from an ebay seller) and it turned out they also didn't ship it, or send a tracking number. Had to wait another week or 2 to get another kit from a different site, and seller. Slightly annoying, lol. I also really wanted to get this Ecto 1, but I was kinda put off by the fact that there are no lights/sound effects.
Since the Haslab Proton Pack was so successful , Hopefully Hasbro with make an Ecto to scale with the 6 in. figures.

I hope they make an ECTO-1A as there's barley any 1a models out there and its my fave version of the ecto so id love to have one in my collection
There are a few 1A's.... Namely the ones from Johnny Lightning, Hot Wheels and the Playmobil.
How many more decades will we have to wait for someone to produce 1/18 (3.65) Ghostbusters figures? At least three separate companies have all done the same 6" approach. How many more do we need?

Here in the UK Zavvi are selling this under the title 'Hasbro Ghostbusters Plasma Series Ecto-1 Toy 6-Inch Scale Ghostbusters: Afterlife Collectible Vehicle'. So I can see why people would assume it was bigger.
And nothing in Zavvi description says 1/24. So pretty misleading really.

The front of mine looks like they just used straight black and faded it.
Tamiya makes dry weathering kits. Using them really gets it grimy.

Actually bought it, but returned it. I felt the plastic used was too flimsy, especially when comparing side by side with hot wheels elite. It really was not worth the $50. Overall detail is great, but it really should be die cast.
It supposed to be kind of a toy, not like the collectable Hotwheels version that released years ago.

That is the sloppiest, cheapest looking paint job on a toy I've seen in a long time. It looks like they literally just pushed a brush around on the inside of the car. There's no "rust" effect, it's just the color of the paint and then a terrible paint application. And even if the front of the car is supposed to be worn or "burned", why aren't the headlights at least painted? They just sprayed it all on that front, with no differential for the grill or the headlights. What a lazy decision. Really glad I didn't buy this. The Kenner Classics Ecto-1 they did is so much more well done and has more style than this supposedly "higher end" piece.
