    I’m playing guitars now for 60 years and being the owner of quite a collection of instruments, from old tele, strats, Jazzmaster to Martin, Höfner, Taylor and what have you, I must say I never played anything like the Acoustasonic Jazzmaster! Unbelievable! Easy to play, lightweight, handy, and an astonishing versatility. Worth every penny.

      Larry Fishman made a great job, so did Tim Shaw. Leo Fender would be proud!

      I bought the Tele version because I prefer the body shape but I prefer the sounds in the Jazzmaster. Great instruments.

    I Like this style of comparison a lot. The acoustasonics seam to be great guitars for musicians who want versatility or prefer an electric guitar shape. For me all the original guitars sounded better. The Taylor was really impressive. Thanks for the video.

    The question now becomes which is better? a Strat emulating an acoustic with pedals or an Acoustasonic and its acoustic tones and emulating an overdriven Strat?

    Picked up an Acoustasonic Jazzmaster the other day and I love it. It definitely has it's niche with people playing solo gigs and needing multiple tones and voicings from a single instrument. It works really well with my looper, and sounds great through my Fender Acoustic amp. This guitar isn't for everyone, but I'm really glad I sold my Taylor to buy this...

    I’d be more interested If it was £450 and made in indo/Korea. it would be a great all on one tool for making tracks and adding other guitar sounds etc.

      There is a guitar builder from Indonesia called Mirai Guitar. You can find some acoustasonic copies they made. I don't know if they have all the tones, but I'm pretty impressed by how the guitars sound.

    I expected the original acoustics to sound better and they did, but I was impressed with the sound variations provided by the Acoustasonic Jazzmaster. On the other hand, the electric comparison kind of blew me away. The Jazzmaster sounded great and was more than equal with the Fender Strat. I like that the Jazzmaster provides multiple variations and it impressed me. I would enjoy adding it to my collection.

    It sounds as good as any other plugged in acoustic guitar. By far, it’s the best solution on the market for live performance, especially for electric guitar players!

    Good choice for the gigs where you need versatility, no need to carry many instruments with. But, you can’t beat the sound of the Gibson and Taylor.

    I personally hate the sound of piezo pickups. I see that it is enough at some point when you are on stage and the guitar is low in the mix, however the sound itself is unnatural. A good mic is always the best.

  • @SiggyMe

    So why not compare it with a ligit Jazzmaster guitar or is it only in name and not sound. Interesting.....

    • @ThomannsGuitarsBasses
      @ThomannsGuitarsBasses  Před 2 lety

      Hey, it is only the name and shape. The sounds of a "normal" Jazzmaster and this Acoustasonic Jazzmaster are very different. That's why we didn't bother comparing them. Cheers //Kris

      Sure, until you plug them in and play them live, which is what the acoustasonic range is for. All those expensive acoustics sound pretty much the same plugged in.

    Very strange thing in all the reviews of acoustasonics - everybody play this guitar fingerstyle or veeeery gentle rhythm, so silent like they are worried about not to wake up their wives sleeping near them. Guys please play like real people play acoustic please.

  • @snakedriver
    @snakedriver Před 3 měsíci

    I have no idea why people like these things. I tried one recently and found that it felt and looked cheap and didn't sound great at all. Emperor's New clothes. I'll be fitting an LR Baggs T bridge to my epiphone casino, that will blow any of these acoustasonic pieces of shit out of the water.

  • @chickenlickin3820
    @chickenlickin3820 Před 3 lety +2

    Epic Fail, the Fender acoustasonic guitar series are the worst guitars fender ever put out, sounding absolutely nothing like what they pretend to sound like. Will that sort of tech sound good in 10 years time? or will it function in 100 years time. nope

    • @PaulCooksStuff
      @PaulCooksStuff Před 3 lety +2

      Stores couldn't give Fender Coronado's away in the 70's. And the acoustasonics have already outsold the woeful Fender Swinger, killed shortly after launch. So acoustasonics are a long way from worst fenders.

    This Fender does not compare to a good acoustic guitar. It is thin and less dynamics. For the high price the Fender is not fish and not meat. It's not acoustic and not electric guitar. It's nothing of both. For me this Fender guitar is nothing worth. No matter what other people say, but Fender has built a piece of s#'+
