    Great comparison, thx a lot. After almost 50 years of guitar playing the Acoustasonic is the most versatile instrument I ever owned. I opted for the Jazzmaster, because of the Tim Shaw Humbucker and the bigger body which gives a better resonance.

    In all the comparison videos I've seen the Jazzmaster sounds slightly fuller and more bass-y. The tele sounds next best to me. The differences are relatively small though. All three sound good.

  • @robbandkathyblanchette372

    Thanks for the great side by side comparisons. I've had a Strat since the mid 70's, so not surprising I liked the Strat overall. The Jazzmaster came off as a little boxy sounding in the acoustic settings. It could be that the acoustic amp set up with a flat eq favored the Stratocaster.

    Great comparison! Subscribed now. Fender, are you listening? I think the next logical step to take with this concept is to do a reverse design. Make an Acoustasonic that looks like a real acoustic guitar, but incorporate a humbucker pickup that would allow you to split into single coil tones on one of the switch positions. Talk about versatility! I would design it so that the depth of the body was somewhat thicker than the current electric guitar designs. But thinner than typical acoustic guitars. Then add in all those awesome sounding tones that are in the Jazzmaster settings. Perhaps even include some ambient reverb settings on one switch setting for us worship leaders. No manufacturer does this right now. Fender, you need to take the next step forward!

    Thank you, great comparison! I came in thinking I liked the tele, but the jazz master does sound the best acoustically. And the tele looks the best but is too bright. Still I think the strat has the best all around sounds,. Thanks again

    All three guitars are (surprisingly for me) excellent! I'e never paid much attention to the acoustasonics before, I was wrong not to... In the cleaner tones the Strat has it for me but on the electric tones I couldn't separate the quality between the Strat and the tele. Thanks again.

    It drives me crazy with people doing reviews of a guitar and then just talking A LOT (too much) about the specs. Shut up and play the thing! Thank you for doing such a good job demonstrating the various tones. I only have Stratocasters but the new line has me intrigued with the sound of the telecaster as well. I think I like the full sound of the jazz master. Wonder if that’s because my Strats are HSH so I like the Humbuckers.

    Great Demo! Before finding your comparison, I started comparing the acoustasonic tele to the strat (1A, 1B,...,5A,5B). The text names simply created some confusion. However, hearing is believing! I think overall, I like the sounds of the strat, which was not what I expected. As an aside, I own and play a line-6 variax and enjoy many of the electric sounds (though not the variation in volume when I switch models); all of the acoustic sounds from these fender guitars sound amazing compared to the line-6 acoustics.

    Thank you for the 3-way comparison!
    You compared the switch positions number by number, but these guitars somewhat rearrange which position is which model. Strat 5A is Tele 4B, for instance: Sitka spruce mahogany dreadnought.
    Is this using the Fender amp's eq, reverb and other effects? Are we hearing clean, unaltered mono signal from the guitar's electronics? Why run it through a mic'd amp for electric sounds? The guitar's modeling allows it to plug into a PA with no guitar amp, right?

  • @ifreemantoo
    @ifreemantoo Před 2 lety +1

    Not as accomplished on guitar, but considering I want to play acoustic mostly, I agree the Jazzmaster sounds better to me acoustically speaking. Next would be the Tele. They all sound great to me though. 😀I'm glad I saw and heard your video as I'm considering getting one.

    Seen this video for a second time now. Along with many others now on the Acoustasonic guitars. I clearly hear the Jaszzmaster as the best one. Strat not enough and the Tele too tiny for me as an acoustic. The Jazzmaster extra body area does make a difference in sound. I ordered one and hope it arrives in the next few days.

    Easier choice for lefties as Fender only offer the American Acoustasonic Telecaster in Natural. The Tele has the least neckdive of All three. Acoustasonics improve sound wise when the stock Fender strings are swapped for D’Addario, Elixir or Martin.

  • @MrGregutis
    @MrGregutis Před 3 lety +1

    For most universal sound - strat. For electric - jazz. For look - tele :) But all are very expensive, so I`m searching for cheaper alternatives like Crafter, ESP etc...

  • @hrod9393

    For me the Jazzmaster has so many layers to it's sound. I normally would prefer the Jazzmaster profile as well, I have a Schecter Synyster but am concerned that some say it has neck dive.
    Maybe they can fix that in the Mexican or future models.

    For me basically it depends on what your music preference are. If u need the bright one thn i prefer the strat, if u need more deep one thn i take the jazzmaster, n for tele its like between strat n jazz one.
    N i think it's better to have those three

      I'm curious about this. What do you mean by neck dive? Is it the weight distribution of the guitar where the neck dives? Or are you referring to orientation of the neck? Thanks!

    • @tkers9224
      @tkers9224 Před rokem +1

      @@paoloelicano Yes, I am referring to the weight distribution. The guitar does not rest comfortably in your lap. It wants to fall towards the neck. It bothered me, not sure if others felt the same.

      Yes, it's very noticeable on the JM. I played all three models before deciding on the Strat. The main deciding factor between the Strat and JM was the imbalance/neck dive. I do like the tones from the shawbucker pup more than the single coil, though.

    Well done, hearing them together was great. They were all good, overall the jazzmaster was the best sounding. I have a very nice collection of guitars and just added the acousticsonic jazzmaster to my collection, and can say I am pleased with it. For anyone on the fence about these guitars, they really work well for the electric player that wants an acoustic but not the width. This will work for you.

    Telecaster for me. To begin with you can't get an exotic wood jazzmaster. Telecaster has the most "big body" guitar tones, most dreadnoughts, and most rosewood emulations. That's where my bread is buttered.
