Guide To Buying Your First Electric Guitar - 2022
Here comes another legend.
ULTRA #1. 😎 COOL
Totally like the maple sound. I chose B as the maple and I was not wrong. Had a brighter cleaner sound.
Does it have bluetooth?
Steve, I'm Rick Hill from the US and I just purchased the St James EL34 Combo from Sweetwater Sound here in the US. I play CLassic Rock and Blues/Rock. I'm playing a Fender Telecaster with Custom Medium wound Direct Mount Humbuckers. I'm having a BIG problem with the Amp. When I EQ the CLEAN Channel 1 the way I like it then switch to the Gain Channel it's WAY TOO Bright. And setting the Gain Channel 2 they way I like it, switching bake to Channel ! Clean there's WAY TOO MUCH Bass. Please any suggestions you might have for me would be Greatly Appreciated. I can't be taking the time between or during Songs at a Gig to keep changing the EQ all the time for each Channel. It works Great for Studio Work, but LIVE it's a problem! I'm 71 with back issues and just Love the weight of this All Tube Amp. Thank You Sir. and Cheers from the US!!
Which tuning? Epic
I installed a Jensen C12K 100 watt 4 ohm speaker in mine! I didn't hate the stock speaker, but now I've got more low end. Word of warning: In order to access the two top speaker mounting screws, you have to remove the chassis from the cabinet. Bit of a pain!
Its like my fly in a big format.
Good job m8!
The Fender is better on wood, hardware and pickups...
how do these compare to a Taylor T5? I have an old T5 KOA and interested in something else. Rick Turner RS is to much and finish lacking...
Marshall has 3 band eq effects loop and the most important thing its Marshall no diff
Mark is Awesome. Our Guitarist loves him, and "A"
And Andrew Guyton..
Is Buck & Evans dead?
Coming from a guy that has most of all the Custom shop sets in a variety of Strats I own... I recently got a strat with the Yosemites in it. I was convinced after hearing them that they were some of the best Fender pups period. Best "strat" sound in all positions. Then I watched this and pretty much felt the same. I did like the V-Mod original as well. Then I read the comments and Yosemite had the best responses. I say this because if someone was looking for an unbiased view besides yours, you can take it from me. I've spent a lot on Fender CS pups only to find these Yosemites the best. Try a set out!
If you know what to listen for it's not hard to get right when side by side. Maple is snappier/brighter. When in a mix? Who cares?! I like unfinished maple with some gunk on it more though 😎🤟
Guitar A the white one sounds better throughout the test. Guitar B blue one is muffled/dull/muddy compared to Guitar A. But I suspect even though Fender claims they're both identical guitars somewhere in the circuitry there's a mismatch. A resister/capacitor/shielding/wiring is slightly altered between the two. I doubt it has anything to do with fretboard wood altering frequency/clarity of the chords and single notes coming out the speaker of the amp.
I have one of these with the antiqued finish just like the one Carrie's playing. Just jaw-droppingly playable right out of the box (I have enormous hands) and has proved an invaluable tool for the purpose I bought it for - travelling on public transport to play in the bars I like to play in, where taking a full size guitar in a hard case is quite the challenge. The Fishman electronics are also perfect for this: on a less-than-fantastic PA it's pretty much indistinguishable from the average grown-up guitar. I couldn't be happier with it.
Great color 😍 I love the matching head stock. They should do more with the matching head stock. I've also seen a Cadillac green with the head stock in a 5420 Beautiful
Im stunned
Great video thank you! I recently bought a V100 in arctic white and it's a beautiful guitar but I do find the neck pickup is too muddy and as such loses definition somewhat so I'll be replacing both as I like having the same brand in a guitar. My choice when replacing pickups however won't be an overppriced brand like SD, I will always buy Tonerider as their pups are on a par with anything I've heard but the prices are extremely reasonable, these days getting ripped off with guitars, electrics and hardware is a choice, it's no longer mandatory.
can't find any videos of this being used as an amp !!!!
He's using it as an amp here. The blackstar cab is just a 2x12 cab, not a combo amp
Sound wise for me, it’s got to be the Gibson. If I had to base it on looks though, that yam is having it 😍
Shut up and take my money
cONSIDERING TONE is 90% due to signal chain frmom pick-up sto cone, the real deal would be a pick-up switch and pot's and wiring, all at most for 400 $ used and mounted, the bridge also a no brainer , buy a good used one ffor 60 bucks....the custom shop are a marketing move for gullible people who want an expensive toy
B sounded better in Bridge and middle but the A was a clear winner for the neck sounds for me
American Professional V-Mod = BEST (in my opinion)
Aguilar pickups thru that 💩 box A major sin
Would have been better had the amp been set to Clean opposed to Crunch
ooooooooooooooooooo
wazzzzzzzaaaa
Waaaaazzzzzzzzaaaaaaaap
I don’t like the blue over the sunburst. A simple relic is fine with me. I hope it feels great. I’m pretty sure it sounds fantastic.
It really does feel fantastic Andrew, very light and resonant.
Why would anyone spend extra money for a beat up guitar? I guess the same people that pay extra for ripped jeans? Just stupid.
what could be more silly than a guy gingerly handling a guitar thats been 'reliced'? LOL
Now, some Squiers 60 strats sounds amazing. I look for high quality in the way it's made.Well, it's like this, vintera as a Corvette, US vintage 2 as a Mercedes. Lol 😊 PS take the Vintera. Cheaper price for the same sound.
The Vintera sounds better to me. A lot cheaper in price. Nice setup.
I play metallica, slayer, and i bought the diezel last week....on a laney cab 4x12....and a noise gate ....and thats fucking all....and it s fucking great 🤘😎....the sound is very good
Аккорды чем то схожи , с началом пластинки ,, По волнам моей памяти ,,.
I think both guitars sound very much the same but guitar A had an intonation or tuning problem that made guitar B a little more pleasing
These sound awesome, really nice rythm playing too. It reminds me of the intro to something. Maybe it's the one of the other tracks by The Cult (not She Sells Sanctuary, something rockier). Oh yeah, it's The Cult - Wild Flower it reminds me of - which is Epiphone Casino too, good combo. I think I slightly perfer the variation of these than come with the licensed Bigsby. They don't cost that much more, look a little better, and I think a good trem suits the sound of a Gretsch, especially when played clean.
Sam's playing with Cardinal Black is nothing short of sensational. You can hear his runs throughout all the tracks, especially live even with Chris rocking his Yamaha . What an amazing band
This pedal will also get you a great Led Zeppelin sound that's VERY ACCURATE! I've been impressed with how with a bit of tweaking you can get the sound of so many bands without having to fork out a ton of money for extra pedals.
Noone outside of guitar players cares about the minimal difference.
I did guess correctly that A was the Pro. But, that's not to say I massively preferred. It was more articulate, and just had more in the high-end, but idk, Gretsch are bright anyway, so the Electromatic just ended up sounding a bit like an old record. The presence control, or Normal / Treble balance on an amp like a Marshall JTM or Plexi could probably get you to similar tones. On the drive tones, definitely sometimes found myself preferring the Electromatic, which could sound smoother. On the whole, it's not bad if the cheaper guitar sounds mellower / smoother, rather than thinner like you might find comparing a Squier to a higher-end Fender, or even entry-level Gibson's compared to higher-end, which usually sound smoother the more expensive they are.
the nitro is a big difference ..my 2000 avri jazzmaster now looks like a closet classic, poly never will do that.
One of us have the AVii Jazzmaster too, and completely agree with you!!
For me the Squier is more a Telecaster than the Vintera is. Soundwise. Love that Squier.
I've always thought that my hearing was not quite on point. The hiding the guitars really helped. Both sound great. Guitar A is brighter and sparkly, B has a richer tone but maybe like you are listening with some extra ear wax. Inother words i could tell straight away. If you are a professional recording artist, you nead A. If you rock out on your local pub circuit, B will be just fine. Both are great instruments with price points well below their competitors. I just need to justify getting one.
HAAAA!!
Omg I seriously thought B was the Gibson! Clean and crunch on B was way nicer. 😂
Overdriving mic pre. Does not help the demo.
