Thank you, Croonr1. Dennis was so lovely, so FUNNY, and such a beautiful singer. Credit to Jack Benny, to be big enough to let Dennis always get the bigger laughs. Love them both!

One of the best Irish tenors, maybe just because I grew up with him. Huh? I was 10 in 48 and my mother was also a singer.

Anyone who changes their birth name for ANY reason other than marriage, is extremely disrespectful of their parents & their heritage. This is especially true, if the change is made at the behest of anyone else and for anticipated greater recognition & monetary gain.

Using your logic, can you explain why The Irish have been forced to Anglicize our names for over 600 years? Further, your comment also an anti-Semitic slur to the Jews as they have both Hebrew names and names which are acceptable in the nations in which they reside. Benjamin Kubelsky, Nathan Birnbaum and Meyer Kessler are all great examples. Their revised names are "Jack Benny," "George Burns" and "Carl Ballentine."

As Shakespeare wrote, ’Tis but thy name that is my enemy. What's in a name? Well, if a person decides to choose their name over their passion, rather their raison d'etre, then there is another name for that person. A fool.
