How to replace mini bike wheel bearings

How to replace wheel bearings on a Baja Warrior mini bike.

This Baja warrior mini bike had a wheel bearing that was pretty much non existent and the wheel was flopping all over the place. Bearings for these are cheap and easy to replace.

Isn't there supposed to be a washer on each side of the spacer(middle of wheel) too keep the spacer centered?

Does your center spacer between the two bearings cause any binding? Mine binds up and the bearings don’t freely spin.

The spacer itself shouldn's cause binding. That will be from the bearings.

It was missing all the balls. it did more than squeak.

Could this cause the chain to constantly fall off? Bought a used mini bike rear wheel seems in tact pretty well it’s just the chain keeps falling off under load if I takeoff too fast or even go past 13 mph it throws it I’m scared to ride out cause I know my chain is gonna get thrown off and I don’t want to hurt myself or the bike I tightened it pretty tight it looses slack any ideas man?

If the bearings are loose enough for the wheel and sprocket to move around them absolutely. I tried to get this one somewhat rideable and it couldn't even make it around the block without throwing the chain.

pfun41 how would I know my bearings are bad also my rear wheel is out of alignment it’s slanted to the right slightly and my chain tensioner is broke you know the 2 tiny nuts next to the main axe bolt I have pictures I can show you of what I’m talking about

Go look on amazon they have extremely cheap tires I bought one for my pocket bike only 40$ for inner tube and a tire

Looks like you need more than just a wheel bearing by the look of the tread on that rubber

They become difficult to remove when that happens. I've resorted to welding scrap steel to old races to get them out.
