Like the entire federal government. Game Wardens are useless. Screwing with people on their recreational time. Is childish.
They are on the gravy train. Why mess with good people?

But thats a good idea everyone should just go buy meat at the store... then all the money the states get from the sale of hunting tags that they spend on wildlife lands will dry up... and the uncontrolled population of wildlife will explode leading the animals to destroy crops we eat... and attack the animals you eat when you buy meat from the store. If you actually think modern hunters would wipe out a regions wildlife your silly, most modern hunters know way more about wildlife management an care then the average person and only take enough to fill a freezer to feed their families, or try to wipe out invasive animals that are destroying the native ecosystem. The days of the fur trade and killing buffalo for their skins leaving the meat to rot are over. Oh and the killing of buffalos was if not ordered sure was encouraged by the us government to starve the native americans and the us army would even take rich people out on buffalo hunting trips.

Game Wardens have always been against us. They have way too much power and overreach all the time. I have ALWAYS been 100% legal when hunting and I have never had a positive interaction with a game warden. Disrespectful arrogant aggressive pushy A-holes every single time.
And, Allen..Look how theyt support reintroduction of wolves to states that had them years ago!!.. but the wolves they reintroduce are like Tundra wolves not the smaller variety...There was a reason why our ancestors shot them off!!!

I read in the paper years ago where I live, they busted a guy for being over the catch limit and had some undersize fish also. Seized everything including his vehicle and went to his house and Seized everything related to laws they enforce. I think he got 30 days in jail and 2 months community service. The paper never reported whether he got his stuff back. 🤷♂️

I remember one game warden in my area that was really very fair and helpful with anything needed. Then one day he was riding with another warden, not by choice, who was senior to him, and boy was that one a total jerk. We had just finished hunting for the day and were standing at the back of the truck next to the gate to our property along the county road, all the rifles unloaded and laid down in the bed. Next thing we knew, these two wardens come ripping down the road and slide in the drive sideways, and the one driving jumps out, runs over to us like some lunatic, and starts grabbing up our rifles and throwing them around like junk. Meanwhile, the good one gets out and walks over to us and says, " I tried to tell him you guys were fine and to leave them alone because I know them, they belong here." The jerk one starts accusing everyone of illegal hunting and says he's taking the rifles with him after we've shown him all he asked for and were perfectly legal. Somebody suggested that he cease and desist before some phone calls were made and he ended up buying all the rifles he was carelessly handling without cause. He told us he could do exactly what he wanted, and nobody could stop him. The good warden stepped in and reminded Mr. Dickhead that if he didn't get back in line, he would put an end to the conflict he created, by any means at his disposal. He was also reminded that there were seven of us, and one of him, and to think about what that meant. He finally got the message and just got back in the Jeep and didn't say another word. The good guy apologized for the trouble and indicated there would probably be consequences for what happened. We ran into him a few weeks later and he told us that we wouldn't be seeing Mr. Dickhead any longer because he was caught with firearms at his home that had been confiscated, that were supposed to be in lockup as evidence in other cases. In other words, he wanted to take our rifles and anything else he could get to maybe get them for himself in the end. I'll never forget that interaction from a tyrant with a badge, the good guy with a badge, and just how bad things can go when you give the wrong people authority. Thank God for the good ones out there who have common sense, conduct themselves properly according to the law, and just really like public service in general because they are few.
Game wardens are the only law enforcement that don't require a warrant to search.

Fish and Game in the Rockies have always been against us legal hunters here and are more concerned about us than poachers in Utah
20 years ago I owed a motorcycle/ATV repair shop and retail store, in a small town. One day a resident from near by come in threatening me if I didn't stop making noise. I said ok, how long have you lived here ? He said a few weeks. I said if you don't like the noise you should have checked your surroundings first. I said you have a lot of rights, now listen very carefully, then I reached under the counter and pulled the hammer back rotating the cylinder on my 45, never seen him again. Yes I carry.

Fish and Game Laws have become so oppressive that you need to carry a regulation book wherever you go.
It's absolutely crazy! Permits for every type fish or fowl, permits for boats, canoes, using ramps, special access, type motor you have, bait you can use, hook you can use, bullet you can use...its insanity.
I haven’t met but one or two wardens in 25 years of hunting, that weren’t garbage human beings.
I've only talked to 3. 2 were pretty cool and the 3rd wasn't too bad but the way he was talking to me was like he was fishing for something I was doing wrong while I was picking up brass at some public land open to target shooting. The first 2 were during elk season in northeast Washington.

I grew up in California. Every warden I have met there, have all been complete jerks.
The only wardens that were polite and helpful that I’ve met, were in Colorado and Nevada.

In 1981 I hiked up to a ridge at Lake Hebgen, Montana. I was 15 at the time. I ran into 2 massive grizzlies who did not see me and stood up and began to grunt. I eased back out of their site and then ran as fast as could down the mountain, more like a cheeta. lol . No gun. I'm sure they would have ripped me limb to limb if they saw me.

Hey uncle Ted! I am 59 , I live in Waco and have been a fan since the first California Jam. Anyway, I have always carried since I was old enough to. What used to make people think I was some kind of weirdo for being armed while doing yardwork has become the norm. NOT unarmed and helpless!
They turned on us a few years ago. Had a bad Experiance with one here in Ohio a couple years ago. They never should have granted this agency this much power. Like the ATF it has gone to there heads.

Fish and game have always thought that they are regular cops . I have not known one in Kansas that didn't think he was better then you. Walking out deer hunting one night I was 30 yards from my truck and I was hot burning up sweating badly so I stopped and had to take off some clothes . When I got to my truck a meet 30 yards away he stopped and handed me a ticket for not wearing my orange vest . This is the kind of game wardens we have here. They are crooked as hell and Leavenworth county KS is even worse . I've always been legal hunting and fishing and they won't leave you alone . Wanna be cops but wasn't smart enough .

In Washington state the Game Warden are always looking for Garbage a long the Hiway, mountain road, forest road, camp grounds, any where they're a chance of finding the address of the Litter Bug name on it. And that's all they do during the off season. Whatever that is.
Had an argument with the Michigan DNR several years ago about not being able to open carry a handgun during archery season without a CPL.. makes no sense, he said it's because someone who has a CPL is less likely to "finish off" a wounded deer.. This was during a time when a cougar was hanging out on the property I was hunting, after seeing it 2 times and hearing from other people who had seen it in the same area I figured it'd be a good idea to have a firearm just in case. Then I found that out.. So instead of carrying the new Glock I had just went to the store an legally obtained, I chose to Carry my shotgun to the tree stand every time. He said It's perfectly legal to squirrel hunt with a shotgun or 22 while bowhunting but chances are no one's going to ruin their deer hunt shooting squirrels.. good ol' Michigan DNR for ya!! "Special needs" is more suitable, idk about the"specialists" party they love to call themselves.. oh and your firearm definitely doesn't need to be unloaded after "legal shooting hours", that was another fun conversation I had to have. After hunting hours my shotgun, muzzleloader or 300 mag goes from being a hunting weapon to a self defense weapon. My weapons get unloaded when I get back to my vehicle not when I climb out of my treestand at dark and start the mile + walk back to it.. DNR really tries to push them "Gray areas" on people, knowing the laws is definitely a wise idea.

Ted..you are so correct.. I know people all the time that keep their guns in the safe at home or in the vehicle!! When I go, i go packed and depending whereI am depends on what i carry!! If i were hiking around shed hunting in timber or in a remote area youy can bet I wopuld have more than a pocket knife!!!
