- Texas Game Wardens suspect a local hunter of poaching alligators during the off-season and have him lead them to his house, only for the suspect to try to evade the wardens and stall them.

It's important. They don't get heavily funded so these tickets really do need to be generated. They get cash and prizes when people break the law. There's two "fisherman" who cheated a Ohio fishing tournament last year. Wardens went and took their truck , fishing gear and boat. It was a big news story. These two guys stuffed their fish with lead weights so they'll be heavy at the weigh-in.

It’s because I’m order to be a game warden you need a 4 year college degree. Cops need to barely know how to read write and cannot have common sense.

The only time you can legally kill a gator without tags or season is self defense. Then you have to call fish and wildlife to notify them.

Much respect though to texas game wardens. These guys and gal's are awesome. I know 7 of them personally and they are great people. With my dream job. However their not paid enough for what they have to deal with.

Now I am 100% against poaching, and this guy deserves whatever punishment he gets. But to say that alligators are rare In this part of Texas is just crazy! 😂 But whatever makes a good show, I guess!

I've NEVER seen a game warden get a warrant. Usually they just trespass, enter forceably search and seize based on hunches with or without evidence.

Back when we was poaching we was hungry. I guess people like to take game animals for the fun of it, a item to put on their wall. I noticed that most poachers get caught by bragging and telling buddies. They're just itching to talk about an illegal kill they did.

Wild animals deserve a spot in nature. We can't just eliminate what some think as nuisance. Every thing that exist has a reason. Alligators existence, deserve to live. So I think poaching is not good.

Game wardens are the only law enforcement officer that DO NOT need a warrant in Ontario CA. I've seen them walk in on a fishing hut to check lines and licenses.
Pretty sure they still need one to search your home. at least in BC. I don't know what your regulations are in onterrible
They're mostly outdoorsmen and know some tricks and have access to government funding to catch people. Helicopters and spotting scopes are a couple
In Texas (my state) the game wardens don’t actually need a warrant to investigate hunting and fishing violations.
From TPWD: Section 12.103(a), Parks and Wildlife Code, allows Texas Game Wardens to enter on any land or water where wild game or fish are known to range or stray to enforce the game and fish laws of the state.

This is in Dallas… 5.5 hours away from Uvalde. 355 miles. And these are game wardens. That’s like blaming a veterinarian for the actions of a doctor 355 miles away.
