Awesome Ian! I ordered 3 for my race fleet! Just when I thought I got everything I need in this hobby newer and better products come out that I just WANT! Cheer bud!
I posted on the Facebook group awhile back about my new whoop lite vtx's having much more glue on them vs older boards. Raised the weight slightly, but only about 0.1g.
a bit off topic but this reminds me to a live stream a few weeks ago where you had been discussing the issues all the brands have had in the past 1,5 years since avatar and goggles 2 had been released where you had said that Carl also had to fight the struggles with quality issues here and there , I mean production issues if I remember right. But I never heard an update about that topic cause that is a major one compared to the software issues that can be fixed by an update. I can not really remember a particular point but i had heard about the discussions between club members that had faced deviations in their products which were built 6 months apart. First batch seemed to be accurate and OK while the other had complaints about smaller details where his had been different then that of the buddy who had bought his first and therefore the second had been disappointed a bit. But that came only to my mind again when you had mentioned it and now with a new HDZero product fresh released I was asking myself about the progress Carl had achieved in the production cause it was a major concern later of others who were not sure to buy or not and that discussion has been 2 weeks ago or so cause we have all kind of users , those dji copter bound fans that also use the goggles on planes and the other fraction that is looking for fpv for copter only. Some have already switched around 2 times from dji to avatar and were on the edge to get hdzero for one or the other reason but HD Zero was seen as the largest risk by them. Might be worth to discuss on a live stream or a short video what kind of progress Carl might have achieved or will achieve.
I am not sure they listened to their customers on this one in the sense that I read lots of people complained the prior one was limited to 200mw. This one is the same without the transmission bump peop;e asked for in the next version. I suppose that is fine for racing and country fields with no interference unlike a suburban environment. I am glad they are sticking to the 20 by 20 size.
Looks good.. other than racing, the next application would be micros. It would be nice to see two different sets of gummies. One for m3 and the other for m2. Still have a lot of flight controllers, and 20x20 rear mounts that are only m2. Small nitpick. Bought a hakrc aio that had both. Makes sense yet, can't find gummies like that just on the market. Stuck using thread heat inserts or brass eyelets for adapters. Also need a vista style 1+watt vtx, and more range and penetration. Just dreaming lol. I really am enjoying hdzero a lot lately.
Good stuff by HDzero. But I do wonder how Foxxeer feels about this having just released their version of the V2. I hope they do continue making/developing HDzero VRX, but this must be a bit of a gut punch to them….
What's different in this product compared to HDZero freestyle v2? AFAIS it's the exact same chip and freestyle weighs 15g more. Why would anyone get the freestyle I don't get it
3ms latency - right? All systems report first pixel response latency, not full frame latency, right? I can see why some might think the difference between 20ms and 14ms is nothing, but 3ms vs 20ms is much bigger delta
Definitely a good move! The overall footprint was a huge problem with the Race V2. If they can knock out issues like heat and signal output, analog will really start having its remaining advantages cut into. I can currently only dream of an HDZero VTX that has the same demands as a TBS Unify Pro32 Nano.
Добрый день, хочу участвовать в конкурсе, ожидаю что тестер будет удобен в работе - монтаж/диагностика/обслуживание автоматики моечного оборудования dc12v Can/rs485/rs232/Pulse логика.
Thanks for the intel chap

Isn’t this quite a big step dividing the two main chips on different PCB sides? Isn’t that a little more than just „packaging“?
No not really. It’s nothing particularly special it’s just moving the components around overall and adding more layers to the board or vias. .
Hey, Mads, thanks a lot!
👍

It's a race vtx. Says it in the name. Most if not all races you go to are limited to Max 25mw output.
We have introduced a bf wiring spec for all plugs but it’ll take some time to have it adopted

Fantastic review, Ian! Thanks! 😊
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

Great video Ian. I’ve order 2 from Carl!

Is it an encrypted video VTX?
No
@@MadRC thanks Mad, is there an FPV VTX that has encryption you know about? Or can this one be encrypted?
Od jb says it does plug and play in the dji port.
Is it possable to have another persons thoughts?
