I love looking for arrowheads, my dad is like a pro at doing it. At out trailer we just walk around where theres a bunch of rocks and you'll find some, it feels so amazing when you find a nice one

I went to Alaska for a cruise and we were on a hiking trail and I found one still have it to this day it was pretty cool

The artwork on the pottery you’re finding is from when they first made the pottery- they used baskets for molds when they put the clay inside, and the design stayed. Just thought you’d like to know 😊
Mariii I was thinking Mabel they put a fiber in it but that makes more sense

Pottery was stamped with wooden paddles not made in baskets that left the design.

@@camodreamsinc.9008 as some pottery did include using stamps, those that didnt usually had those marking or basket lines he had found on the sherds of pottery. Plus, it depends on the date of the pottery itself as well.

Dude, you’re not just finding arrowheads and pottery, you’re finding the stone tools they might have used to make the arrowheads. That’s just as cool as the arrowheads. I’m an archaeology major, this is my thing!

My Granddaddy had a BIG collection of arrowheads that he had found over the years. He kept them in a basket and I loved looking at and touching them. I don’t know who in the family has them, but since my sister and I are the only ones still living in his hometown, I’d love to have them. Thanks for sharing your newly found treasures, Jake.

We find alot of arrowheads here in ohio when we plow farms.i have a friend who has 5500 in his collection

Loved the hunt. I agree - it’s amazing to hold something that was hand made hundreds or thousands of years ago. I find myself staring at the edges, scrutinizing the spots where stone was chipped away, knowing that my eyes are looking at the arrowhead as the hunters eyes were whilst making it. So awesome!
