- We sail the boat from South Deep, near Furzey Island and go along the Dorset coast to spend the night on one of the new Eco-Moorings in Studland bay.
We then go back into Poole Harbour, attempt to anchor up in blood alley, and then find our way onto Brownsea Island and catch a brief sighting of an elusive red squirrel.

Your Channel is exactly what i have been looking for a semi in depth detail of costal sailing around southern England... Your videos are entertaining at the same time TOP MARKS
Thanks so much for your comments and also thanks for watching.
I loved the explanation about the moorings! I wish we could have more of them here in Mexico! Nice island and nice shots too! Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
My home cruising grounds could use these types of moorings. Lots of sensitive sea beds that get ripped up all summer from anchoring. Cheers from YTSC!

Great video can’t wait to catch up with them all ytsc
Those eco moorings are great but it's a real shame they are nearer to the isle of wight than they are Studland (well that's how it feels). My boat only draws 2ft, so there is no need to be so far out and I anchor in nearer the beach, however I do pick a sandy patch and do not anchor in the sea grass

You didn't use your big wellies then? 😂
