Not sure what the CRP pedals would currently plug into other than a USB port on a hub or computer. On the Moza Facebook page, I asked if the CRP pedals would eventually be given an RJ connector option. Moza responded indicating yes, but no time frame was given. I would love to pick one of these up, but my current R16 is less than a year old. Great video as always.
This was exactly what I needed today, thank you for sharing.
I sold my R9 v1 but kept my ES and GS v1, and I was thinking to buy a R21 "v2"... but cutting bt connection is a shame.
These look great. Right now I just have a Thrustmaster TMX pro, I’m really considering getting into Moza ecosystem.
Do it! Or look into the Thrustmaster T818 since you already have thrustmaster wheels
I've had r16 v1 for about 6 months and came over from Fanatec. couldn't be more pleased with the switch.
Does this mean our r9's old hat? And I need to wait for an r9 v3 ? Or upgrade altogether?
I got a R9 V2 yesterday. There are 4 threaded holes on the front. I looks like it can be front mounted. There’s nothing in the manual about it and I can’t find anything online. Has anyone seen this before on the R9.
Does this mean our r9's old hat? And I need to wait for an r9 v3 with this new ffb motor?
I would have brought this at this price instead of my vrs. I'm very happy with my vrs, but I do like the look of the moza, and I like the moza wheels. The wire on a wheel isn't as annoying as I thought it would be.
So you mean that Moza wheel ./ base connectivity now uses both wireless and QR 'wired' and not one (for V1) or the other (for V2) ? very weird ...
Kinda bumed they didn't have the front mount holes on the r16/21 v1.
What chassis were you using in this setup? :)
RSeat P1
this or clubsport DD?
Check prices in your regions, in Canada the simagic alpha and alpha U are much cheaper than these are.
Prices in Canada including shipping for those wondering:
Moza R21 $1760
Alpha U $1420
Moza R16 $1310
Alpha $1060
I would definitely go Simagic... Much better quality both hardware, software, performance as well as reputation and support
@@wangte27 ya that’s what I did. I have an alpha U, gts wheel and p1000 pedals. All fantastic gear. Can’t find anything to complain about.
That's a crazy difference to what i get.🤯
In Finland, the Moza R16 is 849€, and the Simagic Alpha is 1199€ if the simagic was the same price here, there would be no question. Would buy it over moza every time.
@@NWA_1919 Damn that’s crazy expensive for an alpha! Simagic now sells directly through their website. It might be cheaper for you or maybe some other European resellers are more reasonable.
Regarding price decrease, in France the public price has also dropped from V1 to V2 for R16 and R21
From 1099 euros to 869 euros for R16 and from 1299 euros to 1099 euros for R21 !
Cool cool cool... but why is the R3 a no show?
Moza have to sort some licensing issues for the R3 and that’s the reason!
@chepilevski love your channel!!! Yeah I've heard this... but it does seem to be a bit of an odd situation. Why even announce something with packaging saying official Microsoft certification if it hasnt actually been passed? So many people including me want this thing
Dual-Mode Communication The base and the steering wheel are connected via a military-grade wired conductive slip ring with a lifespan of more than 5 million revolutions. Simultaneously, the base communicates wirelessly with the wheel. This distinct patented design delivers exceptional stability and durability, allowing for seamless, infinite high-speed rotation.
Fanatec has so problems, I would avoid it like a plague. I have DD 8nm, had so many problems, had to send back, but even now, I have monthly wheel disconnects / missing shifts. I have to unscrew that collar, pull out QR, back in, screw with an ungodly amount of force and it's good for another month. Very annoying and sad. When I upgrade, I'm going Asetek, even though I hate them (Asetek) as a company.
I dont know how to feel about this. Sure its great that they update but if i had v1 of anything they have released atm i would be kinda mad to see this. Well hope they dont do v3 inside next 3-5years....
Bought my R16 in April. Nothing updated here is really screaming I got screwed. I love mine so I guess unless I had the new one to compare, I am not really missing anything. I only use the moza wheel and the base so all the extra stuff on the back is what it is.
I had same got r9 v1 and year later v2 came out and no firmware improvements on older bases. Went with simucube 2 pro, even years old and still far ahead of any Moza stuff. The smoothness and detail blows Moza stuff away. also the GS and FSR wheels have this plastic handgrips with leather or alcantara around it. Feels so cheap in your hand. Probably will give my moza stuff away.
@@-racingfan2014 lol - you are comparing a R9 against a simucube 2 pro, of course it's going to be better as it's double the price.
Well the Simagic isn't double the price and yet it's better by far. All you need to do is compare it yourself side by side to know as many have now discovered.
@@lundiboy8 Front mount holes would've been nice, but still great
I wish the shaft was in brass monkey or copper....
I would have rather had the look of all their other wheel bases on the r16 and 21. Or at least have an option to get rid of or change the accents.
Ok, lets get some things straight. V2 R21 is not better than V1 R21. It lost wireless wheel connection and exchangable wheel hub for abbility to connect Moza peripherals. But let's be fair, when you use 21Nm base you are using high end pedals and shifters allready. So its more an update and not an upgrade.
Edit: I got new R16 v2 and new FFB alghoritm is true thing and not a gimmick like Fanatec Trueforce and Logi Somethingforce. It is excelent.

Alpha and Alpha Ultimate is still a better choice. Better software, hardware, customer support and value.
They weren't thinking about there currwnt customers with v1 wheels making them not compatible. Kinda stupid if you ask me . Could have made them still work for us already invested in them instead we have to buy all new wheels that ridiculous
To be honest I don’t like the look of it. Not only because looks like a 2006 design, it’s too different from the other wheels of Moza, not like other brands keeping the same design on all models.
The problem with moza is its moza , ive had a number of moza products bases and wheels and its all just meh . The gs gt wheel is nice but apart from that most of the stuff is just cheap and not upto task . The bases outputs are wildy overstated the designs are poor leading to overheating issues ,they dont have a good lifespan , the software is intent on killing your hardware each firmware update is a lottery if its going to ruin your base or wheel, and im not even going to go into the customer support. after less than twelve months with moza i ditched the lot , its affordable low entry level gear but will cost you more in the long run when you work out you brought junk and have to buy better equipment , save yourself time and money guys if you are on the fence over which eco system to go with id say choose literally anythink else anythink except maybe fanatec, go with sim magic, vrs, simucube, asetek ,logitech, literally go anythin save yourself the hassle trust me from experience .
Exactly this. Sadly most won't discover till it's too late
Tell us how you really feel
Can't relate to any of this sorry
Have to agree some what gs wheel broke just 3 days before warranty ran out . Shifter arrived with broken lockout feature. Customer service was an absolute joke . Kept screen shots for proof of them going back and forth saying will get replacement then I won’t. Eventually they sent . It’s ok quality at fair price. There is better but at a price most can not afford. Imo
I am the guy who is on the fence about moza. Can you specify a bit what wheelbase you had? Or are they all just junk? I could still keep saving and hope that my intrest to the hobby doesn't die with the crappy wheel i am runnig atm, or i could order moza right now, and get a huge upgrade.
