The main reason that we won the revolutionary was was because private citizens owned so many cannons that the Brits could only touch land in one place between French colonies (Canada) and Spanish colonies (Florida). Neither was friendly with them, so they couldn’t get a full force on the ground. We won the war because we were better armed than the British military.

As a Canadian who just discovered papa Herrera I appreciate the kind words, looked into getting into guns a few years ago when I was 18 and the gun choices weren't great and more and more keep getting banned it's just not worth paying the government to own a high powered air gun at this point.

While I absolutely love the parachute analogy, I feel like it is much closer to being like wearing a seatbelt. Neither are really much of a burden to have protecting you. Both CAN be a slight burden until you get used to them. You won't need them like 99.9% of the time, but that 0.1% of the time that you do need them then you better be prepared or you could easily end up winning the room-temperature challenge.
Bonus that comparing concealed carry to a seatbelt is easy for the sheep to comprehend. Everyone knows what a seatbelt is for and everyone knows it is extremely rare you will actually NEED it, but they all already understand that if you want to be safe then you still put on your seatbelt JUST IN CASE. Even the argument that you could accidentally shoot yourself fits well with the fact that there is a small chance that a seatbelt could trap you in a car and leave you unable to escape imminent death (drowning or fire mainly), yet "they" wouldn't ever say not to wear a seatbelt because the benefits FAR outweigh that tiny risk. It's so simple even a democrat can understand it, though don't expect them to admit it. In my experience it just makes them mad while their brain melts and then they come up with a convenient excuse to run away. Double win, no triple win.

since handguns were already in a restricted category before this, you couldn't legally take them with you on the boat in the first place. the only possible exception I could think of is that you either live quite remotely and need a boat to get to your nearest shooting range, or you're moving and transport them well secured in your car on a ferry.
non-restricted long guns, however ... should there be any that were bought before the long gun registry was abolished, it might be a good idea since the paperwork likely wasn't destroyed by the sa ... sorry, the rcmp, of course.

The militia is composed of the organized and unorganized militia, where the unorganized (disorganized?) militia is comprised of all males from 18 to 45 years of age... If anything enforcing to the militia would increase the number of people owning arms.

I don't think you quite understand how far this went. You could literally own a warship, crew it, and use said cannons to patrol the local waters without getting in trouble. First off not a american but a dutchman. I fully support that u have the right to own a gun or in some peoples cases a lot of guns. And that shouldnt be taken away but i do have to ask as a future teacher where does it go so wrong that mass shootings within the US seem so common it almost sounds odd when a month goes by without it. And yes i know there is a huge difference in scale but even so. It sounds to me somewhere something os going wrong, and wether that is within the education system or the healthcare for those who need it or withing the regulation of guns( im not sure how the us regulates it and this is the best word i could think off) but to a dutchman it just sounds like something has to change because something somewhere isnt working to prevent these atrocities. Again not saying take all guns, badguys can get them either way but when schools do drills in case of shootings and have tools to barricade the doors no one can tell me there isnt a huge problem. The Navy of the Republic, during the Revolutionary War, consisted of 2 40-gun frigates we'd bought from the French, and 200 privateer vessels. They ranged from little 6-gun blockade runners, to armed merchantmen, to frigates in thier own right. All of them owned and crewed by civillans; essentialy maritime militia.
Our own history means absolutly nothing before the headlong rush of The Narrative.
Just clarifying a few things (and adding more to enhance what you already mentioned). The navy was called the Continental Navy. It was it's own official naval force that was separate from the privateers (though obviously working together for many of the same goals). The Continental Navy was commanded and used in basically the same way we think of our Navy today. The privateers, however, could basically do whatever they felt like doing wherever they felt like going and at any time they wanted to.
The Continental Navy had had 64 ships total throughout the entire war. The privateers had 1,697 ships in total. The overwhelming majority of all US naval power was privately owned and operated. The official US government Navy was tiny in comparison to what was privately owned.
Of note is that the privateer "navy" had 14,872 privately owned cannons compared to 1,242 government owned naval cannons.
Also of note is that EVERY ship that was part of the Continental Navy when the war ended was sold again. So even after the 2nd Amendment, the US government was not only perfectly fine with private citizens owning warships, but the US government actually sold warships to them.

The last thing I read on nationwide gun laws, there are over 20,000 laws already on the books in all fifty (50) states! I started carrying in 1985. I have never once had to pull my pistola on anyone. But I’ve always had it if and when I need it!

I remember years ago in my country they removed physical therapy from pneumonia patients because according to a paper it did not do anything to stop the infection. Well duh that's why we have antibiotics and the paper also said it was benefitial for respiratory function.

I’m from Canada. I just got my firearms license after paying an absurd amount in courses and licensing fees, waiting 6 months for the privilege to purchase. Just to have that taken from me in a heartbeat really upsetting as I am 18 and I’m finally legally allowed to possess firearms. This is just a slap in the face and makes no sense as legal gun owners just don’t commit crimes at a high enough rate to warrant such legislation to be implemented.

Taking firearms from law abiding gun owners to mitigate gun violence would b very similar to confiscating cars from sober people to stop drunk drivers. I live in canada, not only is he taking away our guns and our gun rights but our rights in general. Our own government violates our charter of rights and freedoms and the canadian constitution daily, on top of the random taxes like the carbon tax, price gouging, and much more. The states is bad too, but it's better than living here, texas should lead as an example.

The problem with gun control in Canada is that most gun owners live in rural areas where there's more wilderness for hunting. Northern Ontario is the perfect example here. The whole of the North is represented by about 10 representatives, 20 tops. The whole province has 120 elected representatives. Where as the larger cities are given far more representation in the House of Commons. People in cities seem to think that gun control laws helps keep guns out of criminal hands.

The sheer number of friends and family members I've seen in my own personal life that don't know about Form 4473, the fact that people can't just walk into a store and buy a machine gun, or that the FFA even exists has been astounding
Living in Canada, let me outline how bad this law is.
It's already enough that it restricts ownership of actual guns enough, especially with how restrictive it is already. These confusing laws and regulations around firearms is enough to make the ATF go red in cheeks. But, even beyond that, there is a wide range of effects this has.
The fact that it includes look-alike and toy guns without any specification on what a toy gun can or cannot look like poses a terrifying problem. Of course, little David can't have his Nerf Jolt pistol or get one from dad because it would now count as an illegal firearm transfer.
Think about the Canadian film industry. It's already in the dumps, but this law will make it a whole lot worse. Replica firearms and more still fall under this law. While they will be banned initially, we may see a future where every single extra has to go through a difficult firearms license process just so he can be Bad Guy #3819 in the new movie.
Whether or not it's forever banned or heavily restricted on movie sets makes no difference. The only thing that can be filmed on Canadian soil with prop weapons is now medieval fantasy movies and sci-fi movies. In otherwords, this has more than just local effects to the Canadian gun community, but will devastate other industries. All in the sake of "keeping the people safe" or whatever Justin says while he cries in his bunker.
Don't get me started on the effects on the paintball, airgun and cosplay field.
