I watch this podcast for the hilarity - after all Brendan IS a comedian who is unintentionally funny at times especially when he mispronounces names or even basic words, or when he gets corrected on his bs like I cited in this example.
It’s more like I’m a fan of train wrecks. A troll from what I understand is someone who tries to evoke feelings and trigger emotions from his subject, sometimes by insulting him , others by flat out lying. This is just an observation buddy.

1. I would say there is no better definition of what would be considered an MMA expert than an MMA fighter. What could possibly justify the title of expert more? Somebody who watched a lot of MMA? Coached MMA? Wrote an MMA book? No... as far as I’m concerned if you haven’t had first hand experience in the situations, positions and emotional build up of competition inside and outside the cage then you might still be able to provide accurate assessments but it won’t be as expert as someone who also has whatever credentials you do AND first hand experience as well.
2. I would say sage northcutt would be probably a front runner for a title of “MMA Expert” and I’m not even kidding. I do not like or dislike the kid, pretty much neutral except for his goofy ass constant ear to ear smile creeps me the fuck out, give credit where it’s due he was basically born into martial arts so at no point in his cognitive life has he not been processing and downloading information about it. Plus, wasn’t he studying to be some kind of bizarrely complicated sounding super scientist shit before devoting all his time to mma? Leading me to believe he’s smart as fuck... leading me to believe he has a brain that’s probably capable of processing mma information as well or better than anyone on the roster? And lastly the fact that other alpha male fighters say he never stfu asking questions and calls everyone by their last name (mr. garbrant, mr. Faber). Everyone can hate on the kid all they want, label him a hype train, whatever but to act like the creepy dork chucky doll esk fuck isn’t capable of addressing every hole in his game and developing some genius style of his own and wreck a division or two down the road, time is so on his side as far as age goes it’s crazy.
3. Why do you think Whitaker being described as equally explosive as Yoel is sooooo dumb you just can’t even!! Cause Bobby knuckles isn’t in there doing back hand springs, the splits, and doing that stupid ass looking, though effective, straight forward punch walk Yoel does? Whitaker’s style can ONLY be described as explosive... he’s fused his point karate background with his boxing background to create a lethal unorthodox unpredictable fun as fuck to watch striking clinic that includes such characters as Superman left hooks, leeping lead jabs, crazy looking hop forward front kick shit that no middleweight has had an answer for. He also has multiple knockouts where the dude didn’t just go out, but stayed out for like 5-10 minutes looking possibly dead. Very similar to what Yoel does to guys. Whitaker’s hands are precise and scientific at times and then bam, unleashes haymaker like power punches. In there fight together when Yoel has all his gas and was fresh off fucking Bobby’s leg with in my opinion, dirty, cheap ass kicks (because when you get your intended result you didn’t just disable your opponents leg for your fight with them, but just fucked them for months with a knee injury that now limits the mans ability to train, potentially make a living, and possibly cause life long problems. But I get it, it’s a legal shot, he took advantage of it, I just wouldn’t feel bad for him now if someone uses it to blow his knee out) still didn’t even win those first two rounds decisively, they were very close, and literally all Yoel had to do was feint his leg toward Whitaker to leave him with no choice but to have a massive reaction raising it fuckin waist high for now needed protection. Fucking Whitaker was able to not only keep the striking competitive still, he was able to WIN the striking standing on 1 fucking leg half the time, that’s crazy, that meant no power in a check left hook, can’t throw leg kicks, can’t generate anywhere near his usual power, and unable to use his own in out style with lots of leaping forward to close distance... that’s crazy. And then! Yoel gasses and Whitaker’s 3 rounds were decisive as fuck and to top things off drops Yoel in the last 30 seconds and finishes the fight on top of a Olympic wrestle assassin (how anyone calls that a Yoel slip fascinates me, unless they mean he slipped into Roberts fist and his legs went out)
Please, explain to me how I’m soooooo wrong since I’m sure your blood must be boiling and about to pop a blood vessel in your forehead by now
4. Last but not least, if you think shaub is sooo stupid and have nothing but negativity to contribute, A. Why the fuck do you feel the need to leave a comment highlighting your issues with commentary from schuab nobody is making you watch???

The guy has a really big heart in all honesty. He allowed Brendan to essentially make this podcast his own in order to give him a better life outside of fighting monsters who were basically twice his size. That and he deals with Brendan's worst aspects like a true friend, the guy is a gem. But I don't blame Schaub either, he's still very young and he's become a major voice in the MMA community so quickly, and its hard to walk around knowing all of that on top of him being a pretty decent professional fighter, you know you'd be a cock flexing machine too if you were in his shoes.
