I know this was made years ago but, this really hurts. Hearing people saying "True Christians can't accept the LGBTQ+ community" because my sister happens to be a lesbian Christian. It just pisses me off to see her get harassed by other people because of who she loves. I may not believe in a god but that doesn't mean I can't accept people that do.
As someone who's doctor is religious and her whole church marched against the anti-trans bills being passed about minors in my state, I can completely understand that. I'm sorry you sister has to go through that. I can't really conceptualize it as I am not you, and also am not religious myself, but I do have an idea and I have nothing but sympathy. I really hate the gatekeeping nature of many Christians, for one, even outside of bigotry, but especially with it included.

But most "anti trans kids bills" are to ban sexual books in kids libraries which i support (because lgbt or not it shouldn’t be there) and banning transition for minors (because currently ((not where i live)) in some countries you can still ask to medically transition under the age of 16). So yes I do support this ban, and no I don’t support taking away the help children needs if they have troubles with anything :)

And most of the anti trans bans actually do much more harm than good, many of them argue that it should be allowed for adult teachers to do genital “inspections” on trans or even suspected trans kids, to be able to OUT children at school or to their parents without the child’s consent, and many MANY more harmful legislative changes. And this is all just considering trans CHILDREN, not even a thing compared to the hate for trans adults in this country

I’m gonna sound like an old person, but I’m so glad that I was a teen when it wasn’t possible for everyone to become famous yet. If you had an idol, they usually had some kind of skill, be it acting, singing or whatever. They were even often media trained as well before they started giving interviews or got any kind of platform to share their views. Nowadays we just have random teens who become famous cause they’re conventionally attractive and got pushed by some algorithm, even though they have no idea what they’re doing or how to handle getting idolized by millions of teenage girls.

Hi, a Christian here.
I have a problem with people who are homophobic, transphobic, or vote against abortion. I might not agree with certain things, but God says above all else, treat others how you want to be treated. Love your neighbor as yourself. We are not supposed to judge ANYONE, the only people we are allowed to judge are other professing Christians. If someone who isn’t a Christian is doing something we view as sinful, don’t shove Jesus down their throat. That’s not okay and not what Jesus did. Our role as Christians is to lead people to Christ by being like Him, and then God will make changes in them if he so desires. So no, Kyler. Maybe abortion is murder to some of us, but voting against it (or anything for that matter) because it doesn’t fit your religious beliefs is literally taking a donut from someone else because you are the one on a diet.

Actiune Baza I mean. I’m not gay. And I don’t agree with the lifestyle. But I don’t stop nor would I try to stop anyone from doing what they want. I don’t think it’s fair that I don’t voice my opinion or push it on anyone, but I’m expected to call someone by their “preferred pronouns”. So kinda of like you said. People get pressured into expressing opinions and having convos they’d rather not have in the first place bc people want approval
