- My Synthwave / Retrowave Remix of "I Really Want To Stay At Your House" By Rosa Walton & Hallie Coggins from thre great Netflix anime Cyberpunk Edgerunners.
The anime was so good that I wanted to make a remix of the main theme. It Hit me hard when I first heard it in the anime. The song originally comes from a the game Cyberpunk77 (cool tune on the radio game) but it became a depressive anthem for those who watched the anime (I don't have to say more, don't wanna spoil !).
I edited the song with Ableton (I'm starting to use it well) in addition to my two Roland synthesizer (Fantom 06 and Fantom X6) as Sound Modules. I tried to improve my mastering skills with the use of EQ and many other audio effects (compressor, limiter...). It takes me lots of time to learn everything. Hope I did well, hoe you'll enjoy it !

Wow, Midi Music, what a fantastic production! This sounds incredibly professional, and the visuals are similarly sleek-looking.
This show definitely hit hard from the get-go, and while I've only watched a few episodes so far, it's definitely been an interesting and fresh experience! I enjoyed reading about your thoughts regarding the anime and this song in particular, and the time you spent producing and coordinating it all between your two synthesizers and Ableton really shows! Your music has a unique sound that reflects the use of high-performance synthesizers.
I especially like the percussive elements here, and how they sound reminiscent of earlier eras of music. In tandem with the synthwave-styled instruments, it really captures that neon 80's feel! And the integration of vocals is extremely well done. Everything sounds wide and spacious, yet balanced and clear. A lot of care and effort must have gone into the mixing process in particular!
As I mentioned before, the visualizer you created looks really cool! The color scheme works great, and matches the feeling of the music perfectly. That falling rain effect in the background is a nice touch, as well, along with the pulsing frequency spectrum analyzer and its neat color gradient. I really enjoy that you put extra effort into creating animated videos each time!
It warms my heart to see that this video has gotten such a strong response already. I hope that trend continues! 🌟

I don't exactly understand how to make it work for the best, but I learned again a lot about compressors, limiters or sidechain on this project. When I'm listening to your great music I suppose you already master all those concepts. I still have a lot to do !
I'm quite happy with the visual to. I wanted to have that blue 80's neon color so I changed the shadows on lucy to make it more smooth (and I had to redraw a part of the sofa, it originally comes with Lucy and David on it). And it's not very original but the rain is to give the little sad side.

I still have a _long_ way to go before I can be truly proficient at mixing, mastering, etc. but I'm trying to gradually improve over time. @@alphahuntz2924 I find the acapella on youtube. I'm not good (at least I don't know how to do well or I never tried so hard) to work on original tracks. I would liked to find a clear accappella without effects but i didn't.
