While Visions of Mana was recently released, I immersed myself in Hiroki Kikuta's work on the Secret series (and discovered his fabulous music on the Playstation game "Sōkaigi"). Plus, it made me want to remix this “Into the Thick of It” from Secret of Mana. This music brought back good memories for me, I had spent a lot of time on this RPG which had the particularity of being playable by two people, something extraordinary for the time.
I'm certainly in a more acoustic than electronic period, so the arrangement gives pride of place to traditional sounds (even if I did put a bit of Roland Juno at the end!).

I use the VST Prime Bass from Native Instrument. I bought it in july during the summer sales. Really happy with it.

@@MidiMusicThe guitar, the type of bass, and the percussion help give it that Spanish touch; it could easily be accompanied at any moment by a flamenco guitar solo. It has that Hispanic vibe, although it's not flamenco as such; it’s still a beautiful remake.
Autant je reconnais le talent et les efforts mis dans ce remix, autant je n'aime pas du tout le rendu. Pour il y a trop de bloat, le rythme est trop rapide, et la tonalité est tellement différente que l'on perd l’atmosphère de l'original, si bien que j'ai l'impression d'entendre du flamenco. Pas ma came désolé.
Effectivement, c'est un remix, une autre proposition, une palette d'instruments différents, des sonorités plus latines (guitare, trompette, percus acoustiques...). On se rapprocherait de l'ambiance d'un Wild Arms de ce qu'on m'a dit. Je n'avais pas pensé au flamenco par contre, mais l'idée me plait aussi !

Great track and you made it very Wild Armsesque! My favourite aspect of the original Breath of Fire was the sense of adventure. While I think that it could use a remaster/remake, its world and soundtrack are fantastic.

@@MidiMusic That is true, but every other staple such as the trumpet and acoustic guitar were there and done perfectly. You nailed the vibe! We need more games that have music inspired by Wild Arms. I know that there is the spaghetti western style, but Michiko Naruke made her own style out of it.

You know a remix is good especially if I haven’t heard the original to incite the viewer to inspect and delve into the soundtrack to explore more. The bass is really love inducing and I love how you kept it a really mellow but hopeful soundscape great Job on this cannot wait until the next remix
