I am looking for an accessory to equip it on my zenobia. It looked most appealing second to the Horn for rage regeneration. But I do not have any proof to make up my mind.

Horn is great, as second option I’d go with the Coin if you search for a full defense combination. Or maybe the Greatest Glory... 5% Normal Attack = 5% Attack and 5% counterattack. Maybe you are lucky and get the special talent. Cheers

Thanks mate! The attack buff works a bit differently because it involves everything that deals damage: attack, counterattack, skill damage, additional damage etc. :) this is not happening with the normal attack, which involves exclusively Attack and Counterattack

I still find this confusing. This would mean a normal attack applies also to being swarmed. By definition, though, a normal attack=attack + counterattack. I ran a test with Hermann, who has 10% normal att dmg boost. I quickly attacked 2 lvl 24 barbs. Checked the battle log and on the same turn, Hermann having identical health, and one barb having 85076 troops and the other having 85073, the counterattack did the same damage to both. This implies the normal att dmg bonus dealt also applied to the swarmer. Or perhaps I tricked the game into thinking I was attacking both by quickly switching targets 🤔 My theory is normal att dmg is simply a dmg bonus applied to the overall attack *even against swarmers* but a "normal attack" means "target" when we speak of triggering skills that depend on normal attacks.
Dear Lionel, the test should be conducted differently, because the counterattack damage depends also on the attack of the barbarians. I will try to clarify more this aspect

Hello wick. I tested normal attack damage with joan and it seems normal attack damage increase 25% equals to increase D.P.T 12.5%. It only increase 12.5% attack damage and 12.5% counter attack damage.
So please if you see this message reply me I have saladin and khan and cao full im in Kvk2 What you reccomend me With Attack qeuipments or defance+health? and what talent tree is good for normal damage counter damage for saladin to use with khan or Maybe cao?

Is attack equivalent to troop attack? Normal attack = troop atk + counteratk?
nope. normal attack is the damage dealt in one turn, attack+counterattack. and it is multiplicative, not additive. the troop buffs (like the tokens, or the effect of commanders) are additive and boost everything, but in a less consistent way
can we go in depth about how Normal Attack is the reason is AT is broken. AKA Normal Attack = Attack + counterattack and thus it double buffs the damage and damage reduction?
It double buffs only the counterattack part of the skill. And the debuff of the enemy is only about the attack, not the counterattack. Otherwise the description would be “reducing the enemy normal attack”. Cheers

Yes, it should be like that unless the wording has some mistakes. Little update: Lilith confirmed that everything I’ve said in this video is 100% correct. So normal attacks include counterattack as well, Attila’s 1st skill consequently boosts counterattack by 60% and secondary skills do not proc if you don’t actively attack. That’s why I suggested them to change the description to “directly attacking” or “troop attacks”, to avoid confusion with the Normal Attack concept. I hope they will take this advice

So it cant be that Joan description is indeed wrong like many others in the game. Like the description of Boudiccas 4th skill. Wrong description aren’t new to rok. Might as well be them forgetting to add the counter attack bonus in Joan’s 4th skill (or the attack tree skill that increases normal attack)
Nope, I’m pretty sure it’s right. Also the new equipment with 5% Normal Attack Damage (Greatest Glory), boosts both Attack & Counterattack...
@@WickGaming in your video on accessories you didnt recommend Greatest Glory but if the item is 100% 5% extra Normal Attack damage isnt this item then the best accessories of all of them as its 100% up time? Second question does Greatest Glory do 5% extra attack damage and 10% extra counter attack damage? Or because it says Normal attack damage does this then mean you only get 5% extra attack and 5% counter attack damage as Normal Attack = Attack+Counter Attack.
@@johnha009 the Greatest Glory is a great piece of equipment. It provides 5% attack and 5% counterattack, not 5 and 10. It would be recommended for specific combos. I should maybe make a video about equipment choices with commander examples

But every commander skill description shows normal attack as a single part of attack. For example- takeda has a chance to gain 25% normal attack and 25% counter attack, separately listed in his skill. That means he gains normal attack damage( atk+ counter atk) and also counter attack again ?
Why doesn't the description simply say 25 % normal attack damage ?
Another example is Edwards expertise.

This is just wrong. If the wording is consistent on the skills of the commanders for this, "normal attack" is not "attack". You are misleading people and probably causing confusion with the attack stat.
The counter-attack damage simply follows the increase of normal attack damage, but the opposite is not true.
The thought process of the devs was probably: - when we increase the normal attack damage, the troops will hit harder, thus counter attack harder.
- when we increase counter-attack damage, the troops have spiky armor, so they will return more damage received.
thanks for your comment. everything said in this video was confirmed by the CS of the game, including the part of the skill description of commanders. they also said they will try to improve the descriptions basing on my suggestions. normal attack will boost BOTH attack and counterattack and the counterattack will be boosted as well, not only as a reflection of the atk increase. the inconsistency of the skill description is another story. they wrote normal attacks in many cases, but it simply just works when DIRECTLY attacking. i hope my clarifications work for you

Still, the descriptions of the skills, items, etc related to this look perfect to me and it's been fully understandable the way it's from a long time.
Maybe you are just trying to pass a way to understand the mechanics in a easier way, but it's only bringing more confusion in my view, as you are fighting agaisnt the good consistency in this topic coming from the game.
If you try to view it the way I wrote it on the first comment, you'll see it makes perfect sense.

Hi, I gave already credit to one of those articles for the damage formula (which is not 100% correct btw). As concern the other mechanics, many of the details I explain are not contemplated in that article and my testings were not based on that because the ground I was trying to test was never discussed. Good article anyway, thanks for posting it.
