Enjoy your time off. Gotta agree, Martel is my 5th march…. I use him to a lot of in territory fighting & cheeseburgering. Just can’t seem to park him…lol.
Martel is still my primary city garrison to this day, even though I have already played this game for 3+ years. I only invested in field battle commanders (that has no garrison tree) and never really invested into any other city garrison, so Martel is kind of my best option to hold my city

Honestly, I think you underrating how good this guy is with Liu Che, I use him as the primary to hide Liu che. People naturally think it noob or I have Harold so they don't atk me and then bam Liu che hits with that 30% all dmg buff and sht starts hitting the fan they then try to swarm but bru catch me if you can. So yea best use in 2024 is as a sleeper to hide Liu Che

Martel holds a special place in my heart 😂 expertised him in kvk1. Still use him 1000 days later.
Do you run herald martel or run him behind a weaker primary like guan or alex?

Boudica/Zhuge, Amani/Hermann, Martel 5525/Liu, Joan 5525/Mehmed 5524
I’ve gotten the most kills I’ve ever gotten in a KvK without trading T1s
For me Martel/Liu gave me about 2mil kills. Of the 4, it got the lowest amount of kills. The biggest drawback is like you said, he doesn’t do a lot of damage but he last a long time.
I think that tankiness helps in the field because it helps your kingdom hold position while allowing the huge damage dealers to move forward. The enemy can’t push if its harder for you to die
In my opinion: this is the role I think F2P thrive in. Being hard to kill so your whales & krakens can push forward.
Holding position is important so there needs to be balance. For me I only have 1 infantry march, I have decent infantry gear, I just need the Infantry set boots & Infantry set gloves and then later the weapon
I agree he is the infantry specific version of mehmed he is tankyier than most meta comanders that's saying something but that's only enough to swap in if you have let's say a alex or guan and swap him behind those to make them see a weaker march and try and target only for it to be on par with a meta march but it's just more a low spender or ftp comander for whoever gets him to 5511 or 5515 after a while
@@cyberlord645 He’s a “if you don’t have anything else he’s not a bad option just not the best option”. I did instant max Liu Che so after putting 670 into Liu, 500 on Hermann, 300 on Zhuge & 150 Joan I was out of Universals
I’m either gonna go for Gorgo or wait for the next Infantry. I barely have 1 full Infantry troop march right now at the end of KvK. So many Infantry & Cav rallies & garrisons

@realjohnlove ye kinda like mehmed is now a nevsky mehmed has insane skill damage 5 target but just won't outdo a Joan prime at 5115 behind nevsky but can be a easy way to get another march up

Initially, Martel was my swarm march in the square just before the offlane in canyon for many years. I had a lot of success but with the addition of new skill damage commanders, his role as the tanky commander in that square has unfortunately been replaced by a tanky damage dealer such as Nevsky. It's very tanky but like you said does no damage so a tanky damage dealer is better in most situations. Martel is now in my offlane. He's been chilling in the offlane for a while. I don't want to retire him but I think the end game META is all skill damage commanders and tanky skill damage commanders in the offlane instead of Martel. It makes me sad that I'll have to retire him eventually in canyon. So many great memories.

I feel like Liu gets targeted way more. When I see a Liu I go after it
Its my only Infantry march. I just don’t have the heads to go in on Gorgo or Scipio
plus shield factor for the 3rd line of the museum would be great!
great vid omni i’m in my third kvk 1 and he never gets old in kvk 1 he is in my opinion the most versitile kvk 1 commander minus YSG because he is a good field presence and garrison wish he was good in soc
Thanks for another great video, about Gorgo/cm I have to say it performed for me pretty decent when I knew I would get hard swarmed and could recall to a city once I get yellow
Gold key commanders all do little skill damage. this is why their attack buffs work so well with Lui Che
We used Charles this tides of war with atilla as a rally pair for a counter rally since we didn’t have the field our pass was getting attacked and counter rallies got swarmed, we traded with every rally like 10-20m kp for them and we got 80m ish kp every counter rally

Yo omniarch, we’ve been seeing a lot of videos on gold key commanders, and commanders like Alex and Saladin, you should do some on other kvk2 commanders like tommy
I've not tested Liu Che / CM yet. But Liu Che / Alex is an absolute beast in current OP meta beside Scipio / Liu Che
omniarch can you ake avideo about what are the kvk 1 commanders you can get since it be really helpful to be just starting or the best golden key comanders and their best pairs
Wait but I thought it was detrimental to target Martel in the field. Sure it might be free kills as he doesn't fight back a lot, but I would rather smack a more proactive and dangerous pair that might target and destroy me, like Guan primary, ZL and cav setups in general
Martel is the newbie bait first is using keys will not even be maxed in soc. So runing unmaxed martel no marchsspeed. And if you drop universal you will see how underwhelming he is in soc.
Used a 5524 Martel and expertised YSG in kvk3 (still in the kvk) and my reports were absolutely shocking and I mean soooo bad. My 5552 scipio and expertised liu Che seems to be doing so much better in reports

Hello, I am a f2p and focusing on infantry with a re-start, which commander pairing should I focus on when I hit kvk3? I don’t think I will have enough gh to max Scipio and LC, so I was leaning towards maxing LC but unsure who to pair him with, assuming I don’t have Alex?

Why would you ever target Martel first? Good vid but don’t agree he is a target whether it signifies a weak player or not when there are so many high damage commanders you’d target first

I started with France and Martel and ran him and YSG in the first two kvk’s. Playing rok the majority are chasing k.p and martel means newbie free kills just like using epics season 1/2 aethel meme commanders etc....

I see a problem with this video, you're assuming that a f2p has CM expertised when everywhere is recommended to wait for soc commanders, also a person who has expertized him with gold keys only probably is playing like 3+ years so for sure they have better comms, sorry if I'm wrong and saying nonsenses.... but without his expertise and march speed CM is really useless

Bruhhh martel isn't useless he can decently protect your city and also in early game before soc he can smacked the field by him self he's jusy out classed in soc but in value martel is really good
Charles is a swap he can trick people into targeting a guan or something weak just to have a decently tanky march im ftp mine is 5411 and if i have a alex or guan i can swap him behind just to help keep those guys alive and use liu che scipio and such

@ramos_pinho117 that's why omni says don't use a primary Charles only as a secondary it makes them less likely to be targeted if they see primary on scipio and with lower graphics im pretty sure you can't see who the 2ndary is without a report

And then Martel became kind of useless when it came to the season of conquest...
Finally when smite commanders were released Martel became somewhat OP with commanders like Gorgo.
Content providers keep doing videos on Charles Martel because Charles Martel keeps flipping between good, bad, niche, and everything in between.

What kind of adult would invent TAXATION in a GAME? People who pay taxes in real life don't want to immerse in a game where kingdom councils impose taxation systems, and require performance quotas.
Once the kingdom shakedowns begin this game flat out sucks. (it usually starts after kvk 3, once you've invested time & money into the game and they have you "trapped")
