Yall say this just because you don't like money going out of your bank account. I've been a sneakerhead for as long as I can remember and the sneaker community is 10 times better than what it used be. All this statement is is arrogance
As a junior sneaker head I love that the market is finally cooling off. Tired of resellers messing stuff up
F the resellers!! They buy as many pairs as they possibly can as soon as shoes are put up for sale, which results in many people that wanted to wear and enjoy the shoes having no option but to pay resell prices if they don’t get lucky with raffles or shock drops. They aren’t doing anyone any favors. I’d rather buy reps than pay a reseller hundreds for a shoe.

And to your second statement, that's how the world works. When the gas prices went up because of the sanctions on Russia the oil companies raised the prices and took advantage of all of us. It goes back to that sang doesn't it, "don't hate the player hate the game"

I bought my son a pair. He has all three versions of the Space Jams J1, J11 and J31. He loves them and wears them to school. He has 14 pairs of various Jordans. Most of his shoes still look new. My daughter collects Jordan 11’s and has several unworn pairs. Her basketball team was sponsored by Nike so she always received a discount on their merchandise.
I just hope more people will just wear what they like and stop caring about resell
I'm a reseller and I agree even with reps. I personally don't like wearing them but if you wear them I don't care. There's people like me and people like you I'm not a hater

Sadly that’s never gonna happen as long as capitalism is around, at this point sneakers are seen as assets like a stock that could be worth money and even more money than the amount paid for said sneaker.

Another thing people forget to mention is these fees on these resell sites like ebay! They charge $20-$50 in fees and shipping is a good $15 and that makes the taxes more. So its a good $50-$75 extra in fees etc. only adds to the bs.

I cop to keep em for good, and rotate them in my wardrobe.
Resellers drive the price up, there's some resellers that don't tax tho I appreciate those but most of them tax.

Walking into any reseller store and the rices have like a 30 to 40 percent hike sometimes even more !
I feel like the resale market is kind of correcting itself. The prices were so high and inflated during the pandemic when footlocker, finishline, etc. weren’t open to the public so the resellers were the only place to get these shoes

I just picked up the white cements. They are nice. I have five different versions of the Jordan 3’s. They are my second favorite after the Jordan 11’s.
Let's not forget the taboo letters UA or what I call dupes. A lot of people going overseas to get a pair of shoes that are undetectable on feet for retail cost. You actually think the shoe tubers with early access are showing legit pairs? NOT!

It's one thing if you skip the release of a shoe and then months later you're regretting not getting it so you now have to pay resell but what's really messed up is if you're literally on the website typing in your information just to see you didn't get the shoe and now the shoes like 2x the price despite being officially released 5 minutes ago. I hope all these resellers buy all these shoes just to have them NOT sell and are forced to sell under retail. I understand we live in a capitalist country and everything has a price but making profit out of everything is what's killing us as a society because we're all guilted into even your hobby has to be making money, so you have these dudes hurting a whole community of people all to make a quick buck. If you hit on a shoe and realized you don't want it later that's cool but don't buy 5 pairs and instantly put them up for sale for 2x the price when there was a guy who really wanted the shoe but they didn't buy bots and rig the system to make sure they were first in line

BUT the guys name is Jeff Staple, not Jeff Pigeon. his brand STAPLE has a Pigeon logo and the shoe was the PIGEON DUNK from 2007. Also no offense to the host but Jordan Mids are NOT the same as Jordan 1 Highs
If I don’t score the shoes from the actual website or store….I DO NOT PURCHASE from a third party (Goat, StockX, etc). Some of those third party shoes have been fake as well.
Everything is so hyped now a days. What ever is hot people go for it. I remember getting infrareds 6s for retail in 2019 at footlocker . Too this day not ever selling knowing the price there value at will never forget that day 💔💔😍

The same can be said about the broader antiques & collectibles market. After all, the sneaker culture is part of this market.

Sneakers are basically like baseball cards; only so many are coveted, and only so many of those are rare or hard to find. It doesn’t help when resellers are using bots, or having shoes “back doored”, in mass quantities and flipping them for profit. Sneaker heads want nothing to do with helping resellers profit anymore.
