Kinda sad the Orphix stuff for arcanes sounds so... thoroughly mathematically useless. Like, I actually find the game mode extremely fun, I LOVED the Orphix Venom event when it was running, me and my friends literally played it a few times, realized it was incredibly fun gameplay, raced to build our own necramechs in under a week, and spent the entire event's runtime getting every arcane none of us ever had the patience to eidolon farm to get. It never even really got old, it felt like a game mode that rewarded good communication and it removed the gun/damage scaling barrier of entry, just replacing it with 'having a necramech', which wasn't easy but we all did it. It was a great time, one of my favorite memories playing this game. I was really excited to hear they were keeping it around permanently as just, A Game Mode, but yeah, I remember trying Railjack Orphix and finding it like... significantly harder than it used to be for one, and having a worse reward rate on top of that. That... really sucks. I hope they do something about it. That'd be nice.
I being a dumbass sold two fully ranked arcane energize at 500P each because ppl heard orphix venom returning and afraid of the price drop of the arcanes. Now i massively regret it probably lost 2000P in total
@@JulianTung083 But as consolation, think about how happy your customers were for such affordable arcanes! Especially if they're poor or have little time to farm platinum and arcanes themselves. Knowing that you've spread that little bit of joy while still having some gain is why I always sell my goods as cheap as I can.
12 orphix for 1 arcane is too much, I cant even reach 10 orphix in T3/T4 orphix mission
Nevermind the uneficient drop rates, Orphyx are so hard to kill it borders on imposible, the core mechanic trivializes most AOE weapons since it only work if it impacts directly wich also makes sabot rounds useless, and most meta archguns are awfully hard to get, by the time you get enough stuff to deal with the orphyx you probably can solo tridolons anyway.
@@massgunner4152 Back in orphix venom the meta build was to form a squad with 4 players that both used hildryn and use her 4th ability to get energy and cc corpus, use voidrig and use the 4th to be dps and shoot the orb of the orphix, and use fluctus to destroy the folating bubble. Some will also bring Vizier Predasite as companion to replenish necramech's health.
either DE should double/quadruple orphix arcane rewards, or remove the level increase for standardized gameplay per node (or better yet have the corpus fight alongside the tenno).
and/or make it endless, possibly with a defense/interception like dropout feature.

Okay, that Shattering Impact interaction with base armour is insanely unintuitive, but at least makes sense for me of why it gets recommended outside total early game situations. Like, you'd assume it was ruined by the +100 Steel Path modifier, but it doesn't notice it at all.
It would help if the mod stated it lowered BASE armor by 6.
Steel path isn’t just +100 levels, its also +150% enemy armor/health/shields (and +100% resource drop chance and mod drop chance).

@@mechbean6953 yes, you can see it on the steelpath, i think the mode also adds innate damage reduction since corpus shields also get tankier.

They should make oprhix drop arcanes every 4 captures instead of every 12.
Yeah is making perfect sense especially when you highest damage output in your mech and the weapons especially the maslon a nickname I give. Because is a strongest arch gun in the game there three rules you can't cheat through one viral slash because is immune to all status 2 buffing ability like rhino roar and mirage eclipse does *not* effect the opreator and mech by yourself even if you are next to him you need a team to order trigger the effects 3 you can't shattering impact out of this creature plus armour removal ability like nyx is does not effect the the large boss creature only weapon with very high impact weapon like melee more specifically gunmelee to order armor remove the large boss
Those arent the only problems with orphix missions. Especially because you are required to keep the same pace on every difficuly as you learn this mode and start with under geared mech and noobs squads. Original timer was shortened based on the data of minmaxed dedicated squads from operation Orphix Venom, which In a gamemode that has nowhere else to be learned is a huge balancing mistake.
As of the addition of Garuda, Nagantaka, and Corvas Prime, Legendary 2 is now obtainable for non-founders.
What is even the matter for legendary 2 anyway?

I've been playing this game for years and years, but a lot of these answers are still new to me. You could probably do a video like this monthly and never run out of good questions with interesting answers. Warframe is just that nuanced and...wacky.
Farming AMPZ being new to warframe is a nightmare when you don't do dmge to Eidolons xD

You need good amps and focus and lots of cores for eidolon farming, but the fastest way to do those is eidolon farming... Logic 100
another way is actually getting the fortuna amps from little duck.
@@hazeltree7738 honestly it's fine. You can either do daily focus or tag along and play a role in a hunt that doesn't need much operator focus like luresitting for a bit, and for standing with onkko you can either tag along like mentioned or just kill vomvalysts at night for a while

Given how much harder Orphix are than Eidolons, the rewards need to be seriously buffed.
You are delusional if you think orphix is harder than eidolons
for a new player... a player that will have railjack and maybe has farm his necramech because its simple bountys ... over and over ... he will have a necramech and a railjack.
then he can do instant orpix missions also he can do it with a friend even if he hasnt a Necramech because the missions will spawn one for you.
and all u have to do is damage the right spots in the right order. without!!! doing void damege.
for eidolons u need to know where, wehn also having basic knowledge about schools, then aiming on movable parts (remember u dont have mods for something.... so u will shoot on movable limbs )
Eidolons are easier because the comuneety has stock up al LOAD an expirience and trys here ....
the argument, that the time/reward balance is more a point than the Difficulty/reward part.
@@Pok-qq9lt Eidolons aren't actually that hard. Like TheKengineer said in this very video, all you really need to break into them is a warframe like Volt, a sniper rifle with decent crit and radiation, and an amp. Casual tridolons exist as a perfect way to get into eidolon hunting, as it gives you the cores and focus necessary to get the gear you need to improve your eidolon hunts.
All the details you mentioned, like the focus school and such, are all unnecessary to actually doing an eidolon hunt. That knowledge and resources are merely needed for optimizing the hunt.

consider, a new player dont want to buy a prime-weapon so he has to stick with questline-mods and no sniper
also --> Movable target!! not everyone can aim. for me i chose WF because u dont need realy to aim and its cool to play anyway...
also "u need an amp" u mean the basic amp right? ^^ because all u have is the basic amp or the 1-1-1
@@Pok-qq9lt a new player doesn't need to one shot limbs. A new player just needs to get the hunt done.
I've done eidolon hunts with the mote amp and the vazarin focus school. It's absolutely not optimal, but it will get the job done. That's all a new player needs to get their feet wet.
As for what snipers to bring, a rifle like the Vectis or even the good old Lanka will suffice. Just because the Rubico Prime is meta, doesn't mean the older options don't work anymore.
Once again, you're talking a lot about optimal runs. If you're new and just trying to do an eidolon hunt, you seriously don't need any of that. And like I said before, casual tridolons exist to also help you get your feet wet.
Is this going to be a series now? It would be cool to do more of these questions answered from the community videos, because beginners need all the information sources they can get their hands on. This is such a great way to get tips and tricks out there, as well as boost community knowledge. I really like the format, nice work.

A minor thing with the math equations. Using paratheses or division bars would make the math a bit easier to read and understand. Like I understand pemdas, but it would make things like the eidolon actual hit calculation easier to understand at a glance.

i would have never guessed that the calculations could be so different, nor noticed that simaris scans are always an even amount of rep. 👍great job tackling the math behind the rep calculation, i'm guessing most people would have given up in ~5 minutes if they were tasked with reverse engineering it.

The Oprhix missions really do suck. Back when I still did Eidolons with casual public squads, we were able to occasionally do 3x3 with barely any coordination, which would be 9 arcane within 50 minutes. 2x3 is pretty much guaranteed even with public squads.
if the father shop for orphix points was present, it would be better as you could use the battery thing to buy what arcane you wanted, not depended on rng , i did a good chunk of eidolons, but most time i get trash .

The 108/fire rate is an interesting bit of math because it normalizes amp damage. Makes everyone's contribution a little bit closer together regardless of the type of amp.
"Unfortunately" it's then undone by the crit bonus making clear winners again, but still, I can see what they were going for.

Would you be able to take a shot at a potential health and armor rework?
Currently, health, armor, shield capacity, and damage reduction are the only main modeable survivability stats, and they are all currently pretty useless in survivability at even slightly high levels. (These stats become useless on the majority of frames by the start of Steel path, with SP scaled enemies being at level 101 out of the max lvl 9,999 scaling).
My only thoughts so far have been to change HP to represent number of hits your health can take, with armor maybe adding in a slight health gate that determines your max hp loss per second.
It's been a very long time and I'm STILL trying to get standing to make more than regular amps.
Im mr 32, 400+ tricaps with a lot of solos and ive never heard of that equation for eidolon shields or simaris standing before. Great vid!
12:21 - regarding the "not quite triple": That made me think about how Python's round() function behaves what some might call unintuitive, but does so by design and follows Banker's Rounding, breaking rounding ties (e.g. round(1.5)) to the even number. I wonder if there's a model where such a thing might give a simpler formula than yours.

A big problem I see on PlayStation, is that a lot of people jump into relic survival missions and just wipe enemies before the react spark triggers. Sometimes they want to stay in bad spawning locations , and then complain that other people are moving around too much lowering the spawn rates. (They usually Rage quit or host migrate) smh
While In the same mission staying in affinity Range I picked a hallway next to one of the corpus hands 🙌 I did slight damage to the enemies, spark triggers and I location mark and pick up 10 reactant before the two minute mark. I believe slight damage or even bullet jumping next to a enemy can possibly triggers a spark and some areas of the map are better for spawn locations.

If you want a amp that knocks enemies around and can kill eximus try x47. The 4 is like a cedo glaive. It auto targets enemies. I can't remember the name of my arcane but I know one is virtuous strike and the one that increases the critical chance. With the auto target it will hit the heads and give you more crit chance and damage so easily while spinning around the eximus and knocking them around stripping there defense.
Oh the Amp thing is very interesting because Sapmatic couldnt explain why the Crit Numbers didnt add Up..... and now we know :D !!!

My hopes for the angels update:
More amp combinations are viable for eidolons with the changes to the focus tree schools. And orphix actually becomes a viable alternative for warframe arcane acquisition.
I mean the viable amps use either 2 or 7 for the scaffold and whatever for the prism and brace. Sure there are 2 limitations for what is 'meta' but imo its not that bad
I want AMPs to be usefull outside eidolons, in a normal mission it feels like using a watergun and all you get for an upgrade is a situational arcane.

It seems like they tried to average all amp damage to be the same. They tried to make the amp itself do basically no damage then average it to 108 DPS in an attempt to remove the inherent advantages some amps would have.
Honestly I just wish we knew why we can’t fight or simulate fights with acolytes, liches and sisters. I just want to know which builds work or don’t.
Is it just me or is the Vastilok still bugged? The status on heavy attacks seems extraordinarily low and when I do manage to get a slash prOC, the DOT procs show up as yellow. I can’t recall seeing dot effects show as anything other than white.
As an example I hit a corrupted steel path heavy gunner with four heavy attacks and got zero procs. This did not happen all the time but it did happen often and when I did manage to get a proc, often it was impact or sometimes one slash.
Could be that maybe the stance provides impact procs on heavy atk?
The yellow DOT procs are one of the quirks of the simulacrum, no idea about the status tho (possibly bad luck)
The yellow numbers are just a quirk of melee damage multipliers, and the seemingly low status might come from the same thing shotguns have to deal with, where the status chance number is divided by each individual pellet, but i don't remember if this also applied to gunblades, it's been a hot minute since i last played this game.

I am not sure what elemental damage i should use against faction right now, it used to be clear. But since they changed the meta, it looks like viral heath is all that you should use? Except for Deimos and some enemies like behemoths? So even against corpus? Usually I used to use magnetic toxin?
I knew how to level up to get the next MR, but my problem is, I can't complete the MR 9 test. I know what is to be done and I've even seen a couple of videos on how to do it and I still have a problem completing that one. So I'm forever stuck on MR 8.

But if shattering impact reduces base armor, what happens to the armor added by levels *while* you are stripping it with shattering impact? If you remove half of base armor, have you removed half of their total armor? Or does it suddenly go from near 100% to 0% once base armor is gone?
The total armor goes down proportionally. If the enemy level gives them 500% more armor, then every proc of shattering impact is effectively removing 36 armor.
I have a question. Why do you need a necramech for orphix? It's not an open world map. Plus the mode forces you to be in operator mode most of the time, which is both tankier and has a higher dps than the voidrig (assuming a 1-7-7 amp).
All of that without bringing up the fact Railjack isn't Deimos, Vallis or PoE (or that one section of New War), you can't bring your mech.

I'm a Legendary 1 mastery player (so safe to say playing a while) and I didn't even know about that with shattering Impact. I always thought it would deduct from their total armour. So yeah learned something new 😅

Its because the description on the mod is so vague. It just says "reduces by 6" like we're just supposed to know where that six is coming out of
aw man sad i didn't see the post, my question would've been about modding in general, is it possible to mod a weapon or warframe well enough to do steel path without it being unbearably squishy? including focus clases and mods set bonuses.
the reason i wanted to ask this is because before i found out about the meta, i couldn't do missions above lvl 50 at best, and it made me feel so dumb as if i didn't know how modding worked but then i was told about the mele meta and that's when i learned how i can even do lua apollo missions until lvl 500 alone... granted, since then there have been improvements in mods and with helmith, but i still wanted to know if the question above is still viable/true, cuz i think it would help a lot of more hard headed newbies like me.

I'm sad you don't mention that damage quantization can negate shattering impact if the impact damage is lost during quantization. On that note I once tested having 2 max ranked elemental arcanes on an amp. At 0.04% the void damage was also lost to quantization and enemies that only take damage from Amp Void damage, such as thraxx legatus, would become impossible to kill.
I don't know if they've fixed this since I tested, as that was nearly a year ago, when the amp arcane adapter was first released.
1 arcane per 12m seems bad when you describe it the way you do. But your getting an arcane that you choose. Huge difference.

Hello, I have been playing Waframe on and off for many years so I have no idea what I am doing. I have, most likely, a really simple question with a simple answer but I personally have no clue:
How do I gain them affinity points for that skill tree with the operator/ person who sits in the chair in your ship?
I've tried looking around the wiki and forums, unfortunately I am either blind or missed how to gain it.

I am "stuck" at something like a Zenith with 1200dmg when using the disk for more damage.
I understand the impact of Viral / Radiation damage but I seem to "miss" something. I watched your old video on how to deal more damage but I feel a bit "stumped". Is this just the case of not having primed mods and stuff like that? :-(
Unfortunately Zenith doesn't compare to snipers, because it is simply a dual purpose weapon: it can fill for automatic damage and semi-auto damage in all occasions, but it can't output extreme amounts of damage if it doesn't at least have a proper Riven mod. A much easier alternative is going full crit and radiation damage with Rubico Prime, boosted by using Volt Prime with shields and Shock Trooper.
Zenith is really only for speed running because of long spawns and Zenith NEEDS a riven

If melee has impact DAMAGE it reduces base armor aka before levels
Gunblades like vastilok has 9 pellets that means 6 time 9 per shot
Combining the standing e and forward e combo can strip quite fast it does take some training
I would like to know what status duration does specifically, it seems to be ignored by everyone and I see it in no build ever. Nor did the wiki help me much in explaining.
afaik, status duration extends the time a status proc (like slash) is applied to the enemy from its normal base duration...for the majority of the content, it's irrelevant as with any decent build you should be able to kill the enemy without needing a longer slash or toxin proc on them....It can have some niche uses at very high levels against demolishers, but most of the time you are better off running a damage mod in the slot where you would put a status duration mod
erato orphix payout you list 2.20 uncommon arcanes but the drop table includes only rare and legendary?
Are you looking at how rarely each item drops, or the rarity given to each drop? Erato for example drops Arcane Resistance. It has a "rare" drop rate of 5.63%, yet is an "uncommon" arcane as given by being silver with only two notches on the top of its graphic.
How do you do some much damage to the eidolon limbs with a normal weapon ? My necramech can't even break eidolon limbs fast
Simply knowing what dmg types are most effective and spreading your dmg increase sources

can you pls write the divided by firerate as a fraction the next time you have something like this i can assume its the last thing because that just makes the most sense for the equation but if you dont write it clearly ppl wont get the equation right and will be confused
Can u still get mastery points when u use forma on a warframe or weapon then max it again?
Only if this unlocks new levels. Some weapons, such as Kuva weapons, can gain 2 extra levels with each forma to a max of level 40, and those 2 new levels per forma give mastery. Otherwise no, levelling any equipment to a level you've already achieved with it gives no mastery points.

Could you help to popularise how disruption rotation work ? I still end up people tryna farm rotation A and B yet literally defending 4 conduits , trying to enlighten them is impossible too

Maybe this is answered elsewhere, but why is it that I feel like I'm completely useless in an Eidolon hunt? I've followed guides and have a proper loadout, but my amp just does so little damage and my weapons as well. It seems that I frequently get matched with a random person who can knock out the shields in a couple seconds, and then one-shot the Synovia. What am I missing?
One of the focus schools can increase ur operator damage and there probably using a rubico with a riven to one shot

Possibly something that changed in recent patches, but isn't there a caveat to Shattering Impact that it doesn't work on absolutely every weapon with Impact damage? If I recall, I think there's a handful of weapons (possibly all Rapiers) which only have a miniscule amount of Impact and that unfortunately isn't enough to trigger it - may be below a certain percentage of IPS?
Maybe, but some stances guarantee particular procs even if the weapon has little or no dmg of a specific type.
Prova is an impact and electric machete, i make it proc slash due to the cyclone kraken stance heavy atk guaranteed slash proc...

@@alessandrobaggi6129 Hm. I was under the impression that forced procs didn't count as damage (or at least, the ones that don't actively deal damage didn't count). Something I'll keep in mind then if a mod/weapon combination comes up.

Im not sure about this, since the forced impact procs on the nephri blades fireball attack do seem to proc SI.
I have played this game for thousands of hours. I still have no idea wtf I'm doing or wtf is going on. I had a new player asking me questions this week and the amount of times I said "IDK" actually has me concerned. I can literally walk through any mission in this game, build frames and weapons to perfection in minutes, blow up entire maps with a single button press. Yet a new player stumps me with basic questions constantly....

Does adding a forma on a weapon give you more mastery points when you relevel it?
Only for weapons that go up to 40 base mod capacity, like the tenet/kuva weapons. Everything else doesn't. Basically, if you've hit the max mod capacity of any weapon/frame/etc, you won't get any more mastery points adding forma. It will also show the green "mastered" icon in that item's codex entry, or in your profile's equipment list.
Nope, had to be a different weapon. This is why there's a hard limit to the mastery that is attainable up to each update until they add more frames or weapons

Kuva and tenet weapons, yes to a point. Kuva and tenet weapons gain more max capacity with each forma installed, and you gain more mastery points for those increased capacity levels, up to a cap of four forma/40 capacity.
Once this is reached however, adding more forma no longer has this effect

I found the 6:57 to be the exact opposite . it was alot more faster to get a good rail jack , and necromech then getting read for a eidolon hunt

It was but right now it's the Amp arcanes that increase
180 crit chance and amp dmg by using operator ability and using all operator energy
Warframe is spectacularly stubborn with regards to the idea of providing players with information. Like the relationship between damage types and ignoring a percentage of armour in calculations. The most obvious example being Corrosive vs Ferrite Armour: Corrosive has +75% effectiveness against that armour type, but whereas normally this results in just getting 1.75x corrosive damage output, it also results in an inherent 75% armour debuff being pre-applied in Corrosive damage calculations; Corrosive literally acts like 75% of ferrite armour just doesn't exist, by default, even before status procs. Similarly, Puncture ignores 50% of Ferrite and 15% of Alloy, and Radiation ignores 75% of Alloy. On the flip side, damage types that are bad against those armour types actually get it even worse from the armour.
