He missed a few, but yeah. People wanted/expected damage, but we ended up with a primer (a frame primer in fact).

For the primer fun fact if you remove Scorch and get Accelerated Isotope you get an extra 40% fire rate and Electric Rad Viral combo. With Encumber its an epitaph with a twist it got decent aoe coverage with alt fire and primary. No need to care about ammo either it can shoot ludicrously fast with good fire rate. I guess cherry on top for fitting extra utility with canticle / Invocation. It performs about equally as an epitaph but can net you some sweet buffs
As a veteran I don't give a fuck I spent a while farming X and Y
I am happy a new player can get stronger and make builds and enjoy the game
So there are more players to play with in high level content

Considering i never use secondary weapons, being able to swap to my secondary for free energy is an absolute win. This is going to be a standard on most of my frames now

These builds are awesome, but one thing i want to add is that the grimiore has incredible synergy with Gyre. I run Gyre with Pillage and the grimiore, and it just works so well with Gyre's abilities
I am pretty proud of my grimoire. I was going for primer/ utility team buffs and it does heavy dps by itself. It is currently my go to for leveling at Hydron. I think I could push it further.

The 3+ energy per second was my favorite addition to this dlc. I was gunning for that the second the leaks dropped
Hard core andies will always be upset their favorite thing is "infringed upon" it's kinda sad. Not to mention, you can't even do the new quest line unless you are caught up with the other main quests, so it's not like you can just join and be this powerful right? The argument that someone else should have to grind as much as me to be powerful is dumb, grinding is a chore and there are too many games out now adays to make hard core grinding one of your main mechanics. I've been playing since 2014 and I think these changes are awesome, cause I can share the game easier with my kids.
I have arcane energize and like 90% of my platinum solely because of scarlet spear. It’s not been fair to new players at all when it comes to the in game economy or the energy economy. I’m glad they are fixing both at the same time.
I don't even care if new players are as strong as me. The difference between me having 2400hrs and a guy who started last week is that I have 30 frames to choose from.

I've been exclusively using cascadia flare for the base damage from heat procs to increase my damage. It's stupid easy to do with a companion weapon or any weapon that has heat on it

This weapon is actually kinda hilarious on mag, you can very quickly create nuke bubbles that seem to just fill areas with death efficiently, plus that grouping up makes the slow alt fire much more effective at getting a lot of ticks.
mag by herself can hit dmg cap im gonna try this wepaon with her though now to lol
@@locdshee18 the nice thing is you can basically toss out a magnitise, spam book shots which are actually really long lasting projectiles that will live the whole duration to get chucked later, then alt fire which can just tick it's way through the glimpsed up enemies.

Tried that with my mag sorceress :P only noticed is when enemies get in bubbles the projectiles hit n killed em the projectiles disappear inside bubble yet other natak, Penta and others with good projectiles remain longer in bubbles and keeps killing em, not sure what I did wrong w book build 🤷 something missing? O.o
People act like we didn't already have half a dozen alternatives for Arcane Energize already. Pizzas, Exodia Brave, Emergence Dissipate, subsumed Nourish, and all of the energy support WF abilities one can get when playing in a group. The Grimoire mod is nothing new, and not even particularly amazing. If anything, the new Tennokai, and being able to use heavy attacks more freely, will probably result in Exodia Brave becoming more mainstream.
However, no matter how many alternatives we get, it doesn't change the fact that Energize will remain THE energy recovery method for a large swathe of frames for one very simple reason: outside of subsumed Nourish (which doesn't fit on every build), none of the above work with channeled abilities. Not Pizzas, no regen-over-time utilities, not even Zenurik. But Energize does. And for lots of frames (especially older ones; DE's design philosophy had changed a few years back and we see much less of said channeled abilities on new frames), it's the only option, short turning off their abilities to regen Energy, but at that point, unless it's a high-speed mission, dropping down three Pizzas will always be more efficient than anything else.
Not to mention how hilariously easy it is for new players to get their hand on, since you get it from Simaris
Whenever I use an energy pizza, I feel like there's something wrong. To me, a build has to be complete without the need of using an external consumable.
Accelerated Isotope can be used instead of scorch to get viral, radiation and electric, but with lower status chance. It also has fire rate on it which is pretty cool.

they also added a mod that gives you 3 energy per second which also gets boosted by nourish, and if you really want to go overboard you can add in the new strength mod for your 4th with nourish and if that's still not enough for you you always have the tome mod mentioned in the video which in addition to freeing up an arcane slot that you would use energize in (perhaps for molt augmented to give you even more energy from nourish) it also lets you use something other than zenurik (maybe madurai for sling strength for EVEN MORE energy recharge from nourish, or for people who haven't lost their mind something like unairu for the armor strip)

Imma be real I never enjoyed eidolon hunts the mechanics are cool and I get why people like them but I just don’t so this update has been a life saver as I can now grind the content I enjoy without missing out on the opportunity to get those powerful arcanes without trading for them.

The damage of the weapon is actually pretty nice, been using it to kill the enemies in the entrati labs on the weekly vault mission thing. Cascadia flare is very good for it to scale up.
It's nice to see DE mold weapons to the actual way we're using them. Honestly, I don't recall the last time I used DPS weapons in ALL 3 SLOTS. It's always DPS/PRIMER and for the melee it's either for fun or STAT STICKS.
I've already seen salty videos about how the Grimoire is not Nataruk 2.0..."bEcAuSe iT's FrEe aNd iT sHoUlD bE sTrOnG". It is strong, but it's not meant to kill by itself hence:
- the "ON HIT" mods cost 13 and are normal
- the "ON KILL" ones are 7 and also EXILUS and have stronger/desirable effects.
- the meter for the alternate fire recharges by itself AND WHEN HOLSTERED
All these things are deliberate design decisions. It's not something that DE put together last minute. It's very deliberate in its design as a NEUTRAL GAME TOOL and I can already see how it can augment strategies that we're already using on a daily basis, grouping, armor stripping etc.
It's also not meant to deal with threats by itself, but it supplies us with what we need for setting up the next group combo, a.k.a. energy regen, shield regen, Duration/STR/Efficency (which we can take into account and substitute Warframe mods and Archon shards for different purposes).
I like the idea of DE adding more utility type weapons vs purely damage ones.
I've always thought there should be arcanes or galvanized mods for primaries that increase the damages of secondaries without the need of killing, and viceversa. I often want to have a weapon for trash groups of enemies and a weapon for big targets, but stacks management from arcanes and galvanized mods make it stressful.
The utility is gonna be the interesting part to mess with. I can see some of it being useful such as a sub for certain mods, but it needs to be labbed more
Even beyond the Grimoire being super good, it's also just cool. I'd use it anyways. Hope we get more weapons with unique aesthetics.
Tbh I'm not sure what else they could do. They've already basically put every weapon type that could exist in the game in some way.

I was really hoping it was just going to be a stat stick for caster frames. When I read "Enemies have a 12% chance to drop a universal orb." I thought it would apply to any weapon/ability, like how Cascadia Fire works with any fire damage source. I was devastated when it was only kills with the Grimoire.

Well, we have a regular Tome, and an Exalted Tome with Dante.
How long before we get an Incarnon Tome?
Citrine, heat corrosive build on with cascadia flare is pretty fun to use. U can also use Nourish on her for the added Viral dmg on the weapon. Tempest build on her also works amazing, especially if u have the Tempest Barrage augment on her.

Personally I believe that I'll be making it full utility with the fire rate and energy/s incantation, Very cool support secondary
I used [pool of life] mod and Well of life ability with equilibrium on my Kullervo.
Use Well of life on one enemy and play just normal, spam as mutch energie as you like.
After a few second cancel the ability or let it run out.
Not only do I support my Team a little bit with life steal and status immunity but with the 4 Health Orbs + Energie Orb I get my emtire Energie almost full in a instant.

it was was higher, i used some for testing...
new system requires new war and heart of deimos quest complet. to start whispers in the wall quest and unlock the new systems, so it needs main story progress to gain access, so it needs some work. for arcane disssolution you need min buy 99 stacks in one go or more to get proper arcanes, means you need disolv a hell lot ( 1000+) of arcanes to get some use out if dissolution.
unless one farms steel path survival for adept and arcanes or other consistent arcane mode.dissolution only then viable, otherwise not worth it anyway.😂 and those like majority worth 20 of the required resource per arcane. and need hell lot of credits also. so you need farm for a few months at least befor you get even a return from it via dissolution.
this is ruffly a 200+h farm of acrane minimum befor dissolution even is slightly usefull. if use steel path survival as an example.
DE still wants you to play the diffrent game modes to get the other arcanes dissolution is just for people with extra ones to throw at it. its not ment to be the main way to collect arcane

As others have said, it's mostly for when you have arcanes you don't want/need. I did a 20 stack and got 2 energize and a grace. Two things I've never gotten from probably around 60+ Harrys.
Plus, Harry is really hard to kill for the normal player. To be able to kill it in any meaningful time without getting carried, you'll need Fortuna amps. An hour in SP survival is enough to do one arcane disolution. Yea, this probably doesn't kill Eidolons, but it just adds another way to get these arcanes
This thing can do some decent damage with one-two emerald shards increasing corrosive max stacks for near full, or complete armor strip. Yes, any other weapon can do this, but I love the infinite ammo/ no downside for maximum fire rate. Just another thing to think about.
exactly. besides, its not like it deals that bad of a damage on its own. its only bad in comparisson with the op stuff. it can still kill anything in the game.

I think you can replace Scorch with Accelerated Isotope for a full 60% rad and 40% fire rate while still have the electricity on

The dmg has been fine for me in my daily playing and grinding of the new patch

The best build to give your grimo is the in invocation you want for your build and then as much fire rate and multishot as possible so yea no canticle cuz ALL of them are useless! This weapons fits best with a fully aby strength wisp.

Fr, I use the Str one for my Wisp. WAYYY easier to proc than the 30% str/efficiency from a kitgun with pax arcane and gives more strength, too. I have been LOVING this book, so far. My only complaint is I feel the buff should be 30s instead. It doesn't matter as much with high level enemies, but it's often really hard to keep the buff maxed against low level enemies. Especially if your squad keeps wiping the map
This will be QUITE nice for my Frost Prime armor-strip build! :D
Best thing is the ivara with the alt fire of this, and guiding the projectile
I subbed Energize for nourish on Hydroid and run zenurik, I never worry about energy.
Corrosive + heat + cascadia flare secondary arcane makes the book easily kill. Even in steel path use energy regen and armour and shields strip tome mods or the fire rate tome mod. But Yh Corrosive heat and cascadia flare make it broken even in steel path 😁
could you make an updated sleeper xaku build? like with the nautilus and the archon shards and everything they recently added? i was thinking of putting things together myself and if you had some ideas i could take them into account! great highlight on the energy regen in this video!
The new arcane system is pretty good, while I don't think its the end solution for the Eidlon arcane farm it's a good start now to do something about the Riven system
It's terrible you mean. :D Doesn't help FTP players at all. Splinting rewards just devalues them. What you should want is different rewards pools with equivalent impacts. An "energize" equivalent both in value and rarity in a game mode you enjoy would be better for the game economy and the grid. Keep enjoying that game mod and trade your second set for energize. End results is the same without destroying the rewards table for other players.
@@coot33 The dissolution system is fantastic. ANYONE can get a plethora of arcanes extremely quickly and just grinding them up so that they can possibly get some of the rarer ones without shelling out assloads of plat is good. If someone has access to the Steel Path they can, and probably do, have tons of acolyte arcanes. This leads to tons of arcanes from an area they don't want to/can't reliably farm. It also means if they finish out an arcane set from one of those areas they can continue to melt down the arcane duplicates they get for some minor refund. The system has already seen the price of rarer and more sought after arcanes plummet, the price'll normalize at some point but the drop was huge.
@@attaug Yes, the price plummeting is the problem. That is my whole point. Which is horrible for the internal economy and FTP players.

As it stands, the current price is still over 50 USD which is absurd to me.
As it stands, it's getting closer to being reasonable to sell mods/prime parts and then buy some energize arcanes. The price will stabilize eventually and it'll still be too expensive for what it does but it'll drop significantly and be better overall for everyone. FTP and those who do buy platinum.

The transaction doesn't remove platinum from the market. The price makes sense in game and for transfer between players. It's not an item DE gives you. It's nothing really I have seen riven sells for 10 to even 50K plat.

The point is give an an other thing to no life that you can get addicted to and I won't so we can trade ! purpose. So you can fund your account by doing content other players wanna skip. You are helped when items are expensive and valuable.

This was always a thing - Zenurik + Nourish. All this did was give you a school option for a Mid or less Sidearm, Until this thing gets more functions than what are currently granted everyone is just better off sticking with what ever they are using and placing this thing on a bookshelf where it belongs.

Zenuruk energy regen and 20% strength buff+stynax rally point regen+book regen+nourish. Of course with as high ability strength as possible, I wanna see it purely for the memes
I mean, all of this is good, but the only problem is that it doesn't give you flat energy like arcane energize, so not every build will work perfectly with it
You can put new radiate mod in. add virus and keep electro. Can damage. can add statuses like epithaph and can buff you with mods.
OP with Gyre though..., procs 3rd and 4th ability like crazy
What build do you use for this?
Just put projectile speed on it and the alternate fire it's not bad I'm playing with it easily slaps on Sp a if its built for status dmg instead of normal weapons.. Like its something new to get used to.. Most people won't have the tome mods to use, the grimore is more meant to be a back up with infinite ammo or in tandame with the new tenoki, if you look in the store theirs a pack for 100p for all the new onve that work giving you buffs which is nice took me a day to find it its kinda covered up

Is the "Favonious Codex" a reference to Genshin impact? It has a weapon with the same name a d in the game the Favonious series regenerate energy for the characters.
Or is the weapon renamable and you named it that on purpose knightmareframe? Either way a cool reference.

I always wish the devs respect the value of things when providing alternate ways of getting it, but overal...
Energy economy is just so damn vital for having a satisfying build, and I'm glad it's becoming a lot more fleshed out and fun to play around with.
There's also the fact this game keeps expanding, and with it the amount of farming on the checklist of any new player, if farms were never made quicker over time, boy it'd be crazy at this point. I deliberately choose to put off certain farms, and that has payed off a few times, like Kahl missions... It's a matter of how much you want something day 1.
Ive been using this with my harrow and his 3rd ability, thurible, tells you when you kill enemies.
I use the canticle that grants fire rate.
Altho the mod says "killing" I don't have to kill the enemies to get the fire rate buff for me and my team, I just have to damage them and then if a teammate finishes them off we get the fire rate buff.
Do I think this is a bug? Maybe a little but looking at Qorvex's 3rd ability, Diometric Guard, it says "kills or assists in killing", so I think DE made the mods like his 3rd so they can still trigger on assits but just forgot to type down assists.
I know im not getting the kills since im Harrow with his 3rd active and I know its buffing us since I see the buff icon and hear the fire rate change.

Legendary arcanes and acolyte arcanes are the 2 best ones to dissolve
If its only good with nourish just pick up a energy orb or use zenurik or play a energy frame nourish doesn't need this thing tbh cool ideas t ho always love the vids

honestly, i equiped energy nexus and with equilibrium thats enough. (never really switch to book for energy regen)
Btw is it viable ? diriga procing viral+rad , equip 2 green crystal for +2 cor stacks and grab corrosive epitath. Everything will be fully armor striped and +320%damage
Crit build on Revenant with Cascadia Overcharge makes this weapon busted. Build for corrosive and radiation and it's the perfect crowd control until they die. Not gonna say it's a nuke weapon but it's better than a lot of other options.

i found not modding additional element plus use secondary encumber works well

Swap out Primed Fulmination and 2 dual stat mods making radiation for "Accelerated Isotope" for rad in one mod and add back Galvanized Shot for primer build, then Anemic for Crit chance and other freed up slot for crit damage.

Definitely not scalpers. I barely just got to the point of killing Eidolons, so really I have no bias, but 21 arcane energize for like 2k isn't crazy.

arcane crescendo get's triggered with Ash 4th. I'd suggest having fun with that. Perma 12x combo for whole mission makes heavy attacks even more disgusting
@@crafcik1240 that does sound incredibly nice, but kullervo nukes even without the combo, so I feel it's a bit unheeded at times with him, I'd be far more entertained with sending his crits another 400% just for the absurdity of it 😅

Melee Crescendo is Actually Triggered by Every Type of Finisher... Including Ground and Parazon Finishers.
Not only is Ash's Blade Storm Slow... If the enemies die from the Bleeds instead of the Finisher Directly then it simply doesn't Even Count. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
