I just stumbled upon your music today (first song: Ain't No Sunshine - wow!), and I am spending the rest of the day watching every Canen/Jo video I can find. Today I got to come home for lunch; no one was home so I watched music videos on CZcams as I ate. Beth Hart then Joss Stone then Joss with Robbie Williams singing Angels which put a tear in my eye from shear enjoyment, then in the spirit of discovery I clicked on someone called Canen singing Ain't No Sunshine. Very nice, impressive, but this kid is 12yo in the video and I wonder what she might be like now with a bit more wear on her soul. So I look for something more recent hoping she's got a little bluesy 'cause that's what my old soul relates to and I click on He Sleeps Lightly...
Devastated. I cried all the way through. Initially at the horror and because I am just so sorry that so many beautiful human beings suffer such cruelty. But later because I was so proud of you all finding a voice and speaking out. Rise up.

I've just discover this video because today I looked for your beautiful So damn alone and now I'm so happy I need to write it down :_) You are one of the most amazing voices I discovered last year... but I didn't see more from Canen lately and, well, somehow I thought I could have missed your music and now I feel really moved by finding you again and knowing that I will be able to follow in your career as a musician and I really can't explain how special is for me to find artists that make me feel this way. I'm new here. Midwest mom of four grown children. You are so sweet. This oddly makes me feel closer to my adult kids looking back to their adolescence...even though they are not musicians LOL. It sounds like you really have a good sense of who you are now. And I hope this has continued for you.

I cannot tell you how many times I have visited your former self singing Ain’t no sunshine , I feel it is one of the most beautiful song covers I have ever heard , it reaches deep into ones soul . Thanks so much for the update. I watch all kinds of American Idol. and Americas Got Talent, that sometimes an amazing person with a great voice will disappear and many people wonder where did they go? My gift was sports, but I had to train so hard to stay on top, it almost killed me. When I see someone like you who has a natural gift of singing, I am so jealous, LOL. I like R & B music the best, but like jazz too. I think you are perfect for jazz singing, but when you can sing, you probably can sing anything good. I will check on your videos some more, loved the Bill Withers song, I have had that CD for years.
