  • As the Colorado Rockies celebrate their 20th Anniversary here in 2013, it is worth noting that while the team played their first two seasons in Mile High Stadium, their new ballpark, Coors Field, was being constructed.

I can proudly say that my dad helped to build this stadium. He is and was a plumber and he worked on the score board and lay the bricks. At his parents and my grandparents house they actually have a few bricks that say coors feild on it . Yeah, I have a pretty awesome dad

I like the footage of the groundskeepers putting in the grass. In my opinion, Coors Field has some of the best well kept grass in the MLB.

Coors Field was solely responsible for reinvigorating lower downtown Denver. It was a wasteland before the stadium was built.

I visited Denver on a trip 10 years ago and fell in love with the city. That area helped do it for me. Crazy to see what it looked like 15 years before.

One of the better in the NL West. The NL West has some really nice stadiums that capture the environment of the cities they're in. They're all unique.

This stadium holds a special place in my heart as it is the first one I took my daughter to to see a professional game when we were stationed there a few years back. I saw them beat the Yankees there with a really good friend of mine, a really big Yankees fan! LOL Before the game he game me a baseball autographed by Mickey Mantle. UNBELIEVABLE, but that's the kind of guy Rich was. Back to the stadium, I remember my daughter mistaking the mascot Dinger for Barney and throwing a complete fit when he disappeared off into the distance! I live b close to Baltimore now, where I am from and am fortunate enough to visit to attend games at Camden Yards....with my daughter. Home sweet home but I'll always remember Coors Field and the memories there. ALWAYS!!!

Get to one, it’s a wonderful venue and not a bad seat in the house. If you sit on 1B side upper deck, you see the Rocky Mountains in the background. I can also vouch for Club Level - great amenities and on 3B Club you’re in the shade the entire game. 👍

First sports game of any kind here when Liberty Media bought the Braves. My aunt worked for Liberty so I got to see a game from the boxes it was a sight to remember.

It sure looks like one but I think the sky isn't dark enough to have one, could very well be a large fire though... If you look closely, there are some similar plumes of what look to be smoke in other photos...

      It was Denver’s skid row.
And Elitches was at 38th and Tennyson, so NW of mile high is right

It always kills me watching these politicians use a shovel. Most of them have never used a shovel in there whole life. Probably would use them backwards if someone didn't tell them how to use it.
