- I got my hands on some insane speakers. The Arendal Sound 1723 THX certified speakers. They may be some of the best looking speakers I've seen in a while, and I'm going to see if they sound as good as they look for home theater and for music. But first... we unbox.

Loved this video, I hope you are enjoying them.
Keep up the great work, my man!
Looking forward to your review. I have seven 1723 monitors as part of a 7.2 setup. Excellent speakers. I'm sure you'll be impressed. Keep up the good work!
Great video dude love your work.
Can't wait for the demo's!
Looking forward to your review. Those also look like a lot of work to repackage and send back! You should do a video on that. There are lots of unboxing videos, but I don't think I've seen a "re-boxing" video.
Ha, funny you should say that because I did a CZcams ‘story’ on that a while back
Awesome unboxing ..
Can’t wait to hear your thoughts, and movie demos . Shane from spare Change did a review on these, but he did the bookshelves, not the towers . Will be interesting to see if they are keepers just like with Shane .. again, awesome video ..
Nice speakers, thanks!
I have the Tower in satin white. They are really good. I use an NAD C658 pre/dac/streamer and a Rotel RB-1572 with 2x500w@4ohm. Good combo.
That sounds like an awesome setup
I'm sure your gonna love em 👍👍
Oh I can definitely see that happening!
You would know!
nice! looking forward to the review!!
Wished you got their subs for review also
Awsome video, i acually live 10min away from Arendal 🥰 awsome guys at L-sound (Arendal sound)
I loved this Speakers 💪🔥💪🔥💪🔥
Greetings from Agder! These are my dream speakers!
How would you compare these vs Klipsh as I currently have the itch....
Would these be a good upgrade for my klipsch RP280f system
Hey bud..I have Klipsch satellite speakers with hz 110/2k. +-3 dB. Can I set them any lower than 110..Perhaps like 80 Hz? Thanks!
A killer setup
This week Im ordering 1723s towers and center channel. Cant wait to hear these things
That’s awesome. Congrats!
So, how are they? Love them? Hate them?
Really nice to see more CZcamsrs reviewing Arrendal speakers. If you had to describe their sound signature in one word what would it be?
accurate and GREAT for movies, as good as it gets IMO esp when you comapre their build, warranty and sub 2 to competitors and price.
Those surround speakers look great. They are a good size speakers that can be played in monopole, and mount flat against the wall and not stick out that much.
Yup!
Is it possible that I could get a listing of all the music you played in the video?
I love your reviews. Remember the Arendal THX speakers were designed for a true home theater with space. You need to run them at THX reference level. The more power the better they will sound!
Yeah I agree for his small room I don’t know how well that will work having such large speakers in a small room
A well engineered high sensitivity, high displacement speaker retains dynamics at low volume. One of the most important tests when I'm auditioning a speaker.
@alambe I’m here to say it works very well.
Between you and Shane, I'm gonna end up poor...
I can't wait until Arendal releases their 1961 speakers. They are much closer to my budget.
I’d say sorry, but I’m not 😆
Nice review, just an advise if you let me, don't use power tools to drive screws in, to take it off sure go ahead but to screw in you can damage it.
Those are absolutely gorgeous!!! They have to cost some serious money!!!
Victorious 69 Decent priced if you think about the performance.
One thing it looks like they're missing is heavy duty loops so that I can connect the chains from my nipple rings. I like to feel really connected to the sound when I'm suspended from my ceiling harness.
😀🙂😐🙁😟😧
@@tHAvIlLaMaN Just kidding! haha.
😂😂😂😂
How are your arendals holding up... Are they better overall than Klipsch rf7iii?
Those are sexy looking to upgrade my front stage these might fit my needs depending on shipping
You said your full review was gonna be up at the end of last week?
looking good
Nice!!
How does the center compare to the SVS Ultra? Does the fact that the Ultra is two-way make a difference.
I've had an ultra.. huge upgrade.. huge. I've had many centers.. ultra was twice as much as my last with little improvement.. but this arendal .. huge improvement. Lot of bucks.. but much more bang for your buck.
hi man, what do u think difference is between towers and monitors? im thinking of grabbing the monitors instead of towers as i use a sub.. thoughts?
Hey! I think they’d be a great alternative to the towers if you’re short on space. They have the same performance characteristics, but just don’t go quite as deep
Tha_VillaMan thanks man! Where do you recommend mounting the surrounds? Slightly behind listening space like. A surround? I normally direct my book shelf towards listening area so dunno how to manage surrounds
How much does that set up cost?
I'm waiting for the 1961's....I need 4 bookshelves and the 1v sub to add to 4 height speakers I have....no idea when the 1961 full lineup will be coming particularly due to the current crisis.
Finally:D
Where do you find the pricing for the speakers on their website?
If you click on each product, it shows the price below the description.
The shirt though..... Rotfl! 😂😂😂
😆
@@tHAvIlLaMaN its not there anymore :(
Whut is better Polk s60 ore paradigm se 6000f
Ah man, you got me. I thought your title indicated you reviewed them but it's just an unboxing teaser.
Got you? It says unboxing in the title 😅
@@tHAvIlLaMaN most of my interaction with CZcams is on my phone clicking on notifications for new videos from channels I watch. The notification shows a teaser image and the first however many characters of the title. "These speakers are INSANE | Arendal Sound..."
So, yeah, you got me. It's a compliment because it will outperform titles like, "Arendal Sound speakers unboxing and overview | these speakers look like they could possibly be INSANE."
How much was the customs fee's?
Whet stone that chiv VillaMan!!!!
Haha I should
Whatever you're using to record your videos...

Haha you’re a gear head too?
@@tHAvIlLaMaN oh for sure! Anything tech I'm all over it
Haha I hear that!
Im not sure if they have changed somthing since you made this review, but the Towers are 500w rms and monitor 400w rms. But great review!
Yeah they’re pretty nice specially the bookshelf style speakers in the center channel do not care for the gigantic towers. I would love to hear how that one and 1 inch twitter sounds I know that would be pretty nice it’s pretty large and that they’re nice
czcams.com/video/29G6trmEXNc/video.html
5:50 i wonder why no one uses a box knife that is designed to not go deep when cut opening boxes.
Such a thing exists?! 🤪
@@tHAvIlLaMaN Yes, you extend the blade as far as you want. Extend it 1mm so it will just cut the tape, but you probably still need to be careful.
I'm still using my Paradigm 7 Monitors from 1999. They are over 20 years old but they still sound great. The only thing I have changed is the subwoofer. I have been through a few of them. My latest sub being a SVS PC-2000. I'm think about finally getting speakers more up to date, but the Arendal Sound are probably more than my budget will allow.
When speakers last that long, you know they’re quality. I could see Arendals easily lasting that long but certainly aren’t cheap
Yep, still using some Klipsch 5.2's that hit 26yo in Feb. No cones replaced.
@@midniteoyl8913 I did have to replace the tweeter in my center channel speaker, but it was still under warranty then. No other issues since.
@@AlphaBiker54 - Nice. I don't see myself changing them out anytime soon either. Did add a couple of SVS subs for LFE channel to help out though. For some reason the older I get, the more sub I like :)
Are these better then the svs prime pinickle with an ultra center ?
Without question
@@tHAvIlLaMaN im new to this but these are rated at 4ohms and the svs are 8ohms.. that means I will need a more expensive receiver or amp correct I dont have a system yet but was looking into the Marantz sr8015.
Nice review . If you had to rate these in a scale from 1-10 comparing them with Atlantic Tech 8600 surround sound system, how would you rank them
So out of the Klipsch and Arendal which sound better in your opinion ?
Arendal sounds. Trust me you will love it. A friend got a full 5.1 channel and used only the towers without the sub for weeks because the towers were massive.
no contest- and im not throwing shade on Klipsch esp if you like rock and loud music.
I have the exact same speakers! Except I have 4 surrounds. I have my towers connected to a Rotel power amp. My center and surronds are connected to a Rotel 5 channel amp. I'll be buying a pre amp soon. At The moment I'm using my Pioneer Sc-LX 76. I live in Europe so the model number is different than what you have in the States. They're paired with 2 SVS PB 13 Ultra's. These speakers are the BOMB!!!! I love'em! I'll check out your review and see what you think of them?
Hey, would you say these are neutral warm sounding speakers? I sold my current front LCR Klipsch 8000 and Matching Center because I just found them bright, gave me headache after a while. I am currently trying out Wharfedale Evo 4.4 and Center.
They’re definitely on the warm side of neutral. I loved them so much I bought them. Check out my review if you haven’t yet. czcams.com/video/kb1g7r5fOBk/video.html
@@tHAvIlLaMaN Yeap, I was going to settle with SVS until I came across your video review and then decided to look into that.
@Savan Panchal I don't have arendal towers yet.. but have a center. My former center was an svs ultra.. and this is far far superior fyi.
cool!
Yes yes they are. Unfortunately so is the price. But they are amazing
Prices?
DAMN, they are beautiful speakers! Will you be keeping these? Based on the sensitivity ratings, these will need some good clean power for them to shine.
1:56 Hey that Waz the $ong from the End of WhatCulture gaming Videoz 🤙
How do these compare to svs ultra towers ?
Arendal better bit you have to factor in price-NB SVS best subs will shake room more but Arendal sub-two gets the nod with music and accuracy and form factor. (tho it relies on your pre-pro for set up- I have anthem AVX which is better than onboard SVS correction as well
Not sure about towers.. but I've owned ultra center.. and arendal blows it out of the park. Seriously. But I love the there subs. Well and Quiznos subs
Another Question my Marantz 7012 and MM7055 are both 8 and 6 ohm rated so they won't run the 1723 am I correct in this?
Need your help. I just recieved Canadian pricing form Arendal on the 1723 and 1723S and both are in my price range. What I need help is in deciding if it is comparable either upscale or downscale to other speaker brands that I am shopping. On the upper end is KEF R7, B&W 703s. The middle is Monitor Audio Silver 500 & 300 and Martin Logan Motion 60 XTi and the lower end is Martin Logan Motion 40i, Revel Concerta 2 F36, Paradigm Premier 800F and SVS Prime Pinnacle. This will be hopefully my forever tower speakers and I don't want to f**k it up. I know that they all sound good but I just want to justify the maximum best sound for my dollars. My primary goal is for music so I will accept anyone's surround sound speakers. Thanks.
I’d get the best one for your space. If you can fit the bigger version comfortably, then I’d go with that because not only does it have more output, the bass response is sublime
Phil Ciantar, You pretty much outlined my entire search. What did you end up getting?
Nothing yet. COVID-19 put the brakes on a few things. I like what Iv'e read and seen with Arendal. But I would prefer a personal audition. My current system is good but I what to get into a reference quality set up.
Revel Performa. Paradigm Prestige, Focal 900's, KEF R-Series and Golden Ear Triton's are my focus range. I'm hoping that someone in my area gets Arendal as a product line. I'm just not comfortable spending all of the time for ordering and returning if I don't like it.
Starting at 08:43 You say, and the pop up text says, the flagship towers are 14.6 inches wide. I doubt it. 11 inches max. Probably 10 inches.
Yea, it’s the same width as the monitors. I mixed it up with the surrounds
@@tHAvIlLaMaN haha.. "how dare you" you always got these people on here. Sorry man. Well done as always
Where do you even buy these?
Check the description
Where can you purchase these speakers in North America? I'm in the Toronto area.
You can. The link is in the description
forgot demo video for these speakers ?
Nah. I want to pair it with an amp that I just got in.
In short... I NEED MORE POWAH ⚡️
@@tHAvIlLaMaN ok
Make review test sound....🙏🙏🙏😍😍😍🤩🤩👍👍💪🔥💪🔥
4ohms? Going to need some good power.
Indeed. It’s on the way
Every speaker is a 4 ohm speaker. A 8 ohm speaker is very very rear and does not exist. Every 8 ohm speaker out on the marked u can find, is not a 8 ohm but a 4 ohm.
I’m sure they’re fine for some, I’ll stick with my M&K’s.
Random- do you have old or new M&K's ? I have old M&K in my vacation home, and these Arendal in new home. old m & ks have better dispersion (natch) but otherwise have to go with Arendahl and the SUB 2 is better than any new or old . M&K sub; also price delta between new am and k and arendahl is considerable.
wow 4ohms in this price range is rare ur gonna need some power lmao
U never owned a 8 ohm speaker. Arendal is just onest about rating. U own 4 ohms speakers right now aswell, and u have never owned a 8 ohm speaker. It does alost not exist. Most manufactors just "lie" about it. If a 8 ohm speaker dips below 6.4 ohm, it is rly not a 8 ohm speaker. Then its a 4 ohm speaker. And a 4 ohm speaker should not dip below 3.2 ohm. So again, there is no such thing as a 8 ohm speaker
To get big sound you need BIG speakers.
Bem legal seu canal amigo faz unboxing do emotiva processador xmc 2 e caixas polkaudio 👍👍👍
sub 3 ?
Maybe in the future
You speak french ?
No more than (some of) what I learnt in high school 😅
@@tHAvIlLaMaN OK, so un grand bonjour de France 😁😁😁
Jesus, I just checked their site... 2,999 euros. That’s $3,400 usd. 😳😳
Yea... they definitely aren’t cheap
I’d love to hear those in person!! I guess your awesome videos of the review who have to do lol
Maybe I missed it in the video but super shady not to even mention their price in the video.
Remember all pricing at www.arendalsound.eu includes 19% EU VAT as stated. Its 2520EUR ex VAT for the 1723 Tower THX, pair.
Jan Ove Lassesen I don’t know what your talking about. If you mean the pricing is in Euros, then I know. That’s why I said $3400 for one 1723 tower. But if that’s not what you mean, then please elaborate.
Too big??? No I wouldn't call them big at all:-)
to much cash!
Assembled in "China" just about everything in the av world of manufacturing...is now made or assembled in China my pioneer lx704, lx500,rel Ht1508 sub,Rel T9i T9i subwoofer are all assembled in china....hopefully that will change....after this pandemic is over ....
Made in China
iPhones are made in china. Even face masks for covid -19 is also made in china. I'm sure your mama met your dad in china
Luther King so what that doesn’t make any difference cheap labor and cheap materials to pay high price for that no way!! That’s why so many defective masks imported!! May be your mama was imported from Wahun China 😂
Another factor is that many of the more expensive raw materials used in loudspeakers are mined and made in China. Over 90% of the world’s Neodymium deposits are in China and it’s simply not practical, or green, to refine and manufacture Neodymium magnets anywhere else. Indeed, one of the main cost and green benefits of manufacturing in China, is in manufacturing close to all of the raw material sources and processors, hugely minimizing road and sea miles carrying wasted by-product. If you disagree with this, I trust you will throw your phone, tablet, computer, TV, etc, out immediately!
I copied this right from their website. The fact that something was manufactured in china doesn't mean it's of no quality. Chinese products are in 3 grades and this grade is first grade. Had it not been so they wouldn't ne selling a these prices and if your to compare to those flagship speakers, Arndals are cheap. Jan Ove Larsseson and his team are doing a great jo6 I'm not surprised they keep winning awards every year.
Looks like horn tweeters. Aweful
It’s not. I mentioned in the video that it’s a soft some tweeter
@@tHAvIlLaMaN does it have servo base control?
You typically find Servo control on subs, since they have the built in purpose-build amp, not speakers
Trying To Figure Our 🤔 How 🤔 These Speakers 🔊 🤔 ( I Guess The Lower Of OHMS "4" Is 1 Factor????) Better Than The Klipsch???? IS The Sound LOUDER MORE POWERFUL/ ROOM FULLER 🤔???? WHAT'S THE WORD FAMILY????
I heard them in arendal which is in norway but It wasnt impressive..... would much rather take ultra towers and ultra senter. Only thing that was ok was the sub 3. It was right but didn't have the slam at the lower notes
Interesting. Nothing wrong with having that preference because SVS makes some great speakers. I’ve really liked what I’ve hear so far though
I have them, and they are far better than SVS.. (witch is also a good brand)
@@H1Willy good that you like them! they yust wasnt my cup of tea
I owned an ultra center.. was twice the price of my last center with 5 percent improvement id say. Since replaced with arendal.. and night and day difference! Clear.. accurate.. and precise. More expensive..but much much more bang for my buck.
