    I have a pair of the full size 1723 Monitor speakers and I'm also in love with them. With all the hype they've had, I was 100% prepared to return them if they weren't great, and I've had to return a few speakers in the past. I got them from the outlet for $2249 shipped to the door, and 3 months later I'm just blown away by the value. I've owned speakers that cost twice the amount, but for my personal needs these are close to perfect. I use them in a 2.2 stereo setup. I listen to a lot of dynamic and bass heavy music and even without the subs they do an admiral job. I'd call these a must try for anyone shopping in the sub 5k speaker market!

  • @TokeBoisen
    @TokeBoisen Před 2 lety +4

    I love that they have such comprehensive settings on the sub itself. Disregarding the risk of electronics wearing out, you're not afraid of app-deprecation locking you out of adjusting your subwoofer and you're basically set for life with these subs.

    I've been using a 7.2.4 1723 kits for a year now and I will say they are endgame speakers. Haven't heard the S model but I figure they are the same with a tad less mid and bass but I think anyone getting the 1723S will be 100% satisfied. I also ordered monitors across the board. Besides the towers are beyond huge. These speakers are small so if you have a small room their 1961 speakers will be just fine. As far as height speakers I wish they made the full 1723 but the 1723S heights do a great job also. I had SVS elevations before they were ok but the Arendal heights completely changed atmos or dts x. I was lucky and saved 15% as I got them before covid and since last summer (2021) they raised the price across the board.

      I have a whole 1723s thx set up and 4 SVS heights. You really notice that much of a difference from the 1723 heights? They’re up there in price and thought about getting them but feel like it’s not that much of a difference. What do you think?

    That subwoofer is Ginormous. I wish i could use a sub but I've found I just can't, the bass sound just travels too easily and it annoys my neighbours. I don't want to do that, I'm a good neighbour. AN APP OMG, I remember years (I think) ago, when reviewing the Arendal 1961 Sub, the only criticism I remember you making, is that it had no app to be able to make adjustments to, and better tune the system from your seated position. Clearly they listened.

      Seconding those. I thought it’d be an odd fit since the Surrounds S are pretty think Deep wise.
      Then I realized you can just turn the stand around so the Surround S takes up as much room on the stand instead of having the stand stick out the Deep side like regular Bookshelves do.

      I'm using these MonoPrice speaker stands: amzn.to/3uYEdxA. They don't have any cable management built in but they work fine.

    For $2500 which makes them unobtainable they should sound like the royal philharmonic is in you living room. Sadly I will never know that joy

    Is there a big difference between 1723 bookshelf vs 1723 surround speaker?
    I want to know the 1723 surround.

      Obviously I don't have the bookshelf but I assume the sound (tonality, clarity, detail) is the same based on my experience. The only difference is the surround does a much better job of surrounding the seating position.

      Hi 👋🏾😁! Yes, there should be 7.1 content on Netflix. I haven’t been to India but I assume Netflix has rolled it out there.
