For those that want an easier time collecting the Chaos Emeralds, I just discovered a fun trick. Start the game over and play through the entire game without collecting any Emeralds. Even if you get sucked into a special stage fail it on purpose by falling. Collect your first one in the last Zone. Then proceed to collecting the rest by going backwards through the Zones and collect the Chaos Emeralds in reverse order. See, you will always collect the easiest first. This trick will let you collect the last few on easier Zones. Its like a cheat on replaying the special stages if you fail. Just restart the level and its no challenge getting beck to the special stage to try again.
This comment aged well. I collected all the Chaos Emeralds in less than 20 minutes using this strategy, lol. Of course this isn't counting my playthrough of the game and I exited each stage after collecting each Emerald because the game recognizes the Emerald is collected without having to complete the stage.
Wonder why the emeralds are just now getting "special actions" is it for something coming up? Or a one off deal? What could sega be cooking up behind those curtains? 🤔

The special stages can be really complicated, but with a lot of training, you can always manage it, believe in yourself, this will bring you luck, you're welcome!

I can’t get to the green emerald in special stage 5 because it goes too fast.
Let it come to you by predicting its path. It’s circular and sometimes drops and lifts.

How do you become super sonic after you collect the emeralds?
That's inaccurate because in press factory act 2 when ur about to fight the boss go all the way back and it is a ring portal
