i’ve noticed that you can get one emerald PER ZONE. so if you get a Gold ring in any act in the zone, you’ve claimed the emerald for all ring rooms, which will make them blue 5Medal rooms

There are more big rings so it's like the classics, you only get one try, if you don't click retry of course
Clicking retry resets the whole level, so if the giant ring is far into the stage, it may be a bit frustrating

Got the 7th emerald 1st try. My tips are to grab the rings so that you have enough time,and enter EVERY booster you can

for the 7th emerald for me it tells me to catch medals as there is no emerald, is it supposed to be anywhere else? I don't have it yet either so was there an update or something?
Edit: I found it in press factory instead, but the game won't let me use super sonic at all for some reason? I have all the emeralds and the icon is showing up in the power wheel, and it's letting me use all the other emeralds just not super sonic :/

Since you can only get one Emerald per Zone regardless of the act, does it tell you somewhere where you got your emeralds from? I have 5 of the 7 but I don’t remember which Zones I found them in.
If you walk by a zone the emerald you got there will have a highlight around it on the bottom left

i’m having so much trouble catching the 5th chaos emerald 😭 any tips?
The green chaos emerald? Well I was struggling too until I realized the emerald chases in a circle loop, so what i did was stay in a position the emerald was in and wait for it to come back the opposite way
I was struggling then i just watched this video stacked on rings copied them and caught it with like 40 left over in the same spot just try cut it off since it loops
I literally had to cut it off I went to the left instead of following it but it still took like 3 tries
I swear, I used the tactic shown in this video, and even then, it felt like a miracle when I got it, like the game just decided to let me get it after more than 10 failed attempts.

You missed quite a few locations, like how you skipped Press Factory and Golden Capital entirely, and various other spots in previous zones, but other than that, its a good video considering the game had been out for like a day now.

@@natoriousthehopeful2786 I found them by accident. But I got all the Emeralds before Golden Capital Act 2. I only recently discovered that it grants you all 7 in the end of the stage, but I had all 7 before finishing it and I remember playing Super Sonic only for the Act 1 boss to steal my rings and automatically detransform me. It was hilarious.
You can get the 4th emerald way easier, in area on 5:50, just jump on orange pinball bumper and jump out to the right from circle

There is a second gold ring in Pinball Carnival. I just stumbled upon it while trying to find this one!
You have to stay to the bottom of the stage! Eventually you’ll come across it.
Either this ring is a second one, or somehow the first. But the location and surroundings of this ring are different than what I’ve seen in the video!
I think I know what I’m seeing now…
Apparently, the game will only let you collect one emerald per zone. BUT, there is no set location for a giant gold ring. Pretty much, the first giant ring you find in a level (regardless of where) will be gold.
I know this because after I found a gold ring in another location than what I saw in the video, I got curious. So I went back to try and find the gold ring where I saw it in the video.. However, once I got there, it was not gold, but blue. Despite me never having gone there before.
So it seems the goal would just try to find any giant ring you can! Maybe I’ll find out more as I continue playing.
Does anyone know if you can get multiple Chaos Emeralds in a zone?

I’m so confused on how to get the 6th one, every time I try to spin dash over the hoop I get sucked into it. Is there an easier way to get that ring
You have to use the ivy ability or bullet ability and fly over the loop

tip: you can actually retry special stages by restarting the ACT

Never mind, it’s because I already finished that ring and I had to go back to stage 2 act 1 to get the one I’m looking for 🤦🏻♂️

You couldn't in other classic sonic games
But you could in Sonic Origins, since they presumably recognized that replaying the same levels over and over again just to have another attempt at the special stage is an outdated and annoying concept @@connorgriff1417
Did you know that you can find 7th chaos emerald at press factory act2 if you go near the boss fight and go left you can find it there.

The 5th emerald was easier than people say actually. I got it some seconds in on the first try
On the fifth chaos emerald I was having a tantrum and wining saying "WHEN I DONT WANT TO CONNECT TO THAT ONE I CONNECTED TO IT OH MY GOSH IM BOUTA RAGE QUIT"
It be best to get much rings as you can before getting the Chaos Emeralds

Wait why did you go to Speed Jungle for the 2nd Emerald? Pls don't tell me you can only get 1 Chaos Emerald per zone
From the looks of it, yes. There's like 7 zones, each with their own specific Chaos Emerald. It's probably set up like that because of the Chaos Emerald abilities. And after I got my first Chaos Emerald in Bridge Island Zone Act 1, all the other big rings later in Act 1 and Act 2 of the same zone become big blue rings where the reward is 5 medals instead of another Chaos Emerald.

yes it does, they just aren't mentioned in this video for some reason
It does, if you know about the rocket section in Act 2. Don't go in the rocket yet, try to Ether use the red emerlads ability or fly over it with tails. It should be behind a wall
@@RexGaming935 there is an easier one, right before the boss after you crash the ship you can go to the left to find a giant ring, this is one of the easiest ones in the entire game aside from bridge hill zone act 1
For the white emerald i got it in press factory by getting clipped underground and falling in a ring

I finish the game without the last two emralds and now i cant get them because all the rings just give me always 5 Medals is that a bug?
You can only get one emerald per level (level, not act). When you stand in a level, it will highlight the emerald you collected there. If none is highlighted, the rings will be gold there.
The 7th emerald can be found in golden carpet zone act 1
Are these really the only emerald stage rings in the game? I tought there were atleast a few ring portals hidden in each level/act.
No there are multiple rings in a stage like in Sonic 3

@@willforeign I’ve gotten a better handle on the special stage since then. Hold left gain a lot of height, and try to get as close to the emerald as possible while falling towards it. It can take a few tries as the lock-on doesn’t always work well, even if you’re right next to it. It’s the hardest one in the game, so you don’t have to worry about the ones that come after this.
Oh yes , getting that fifth emerald was a nightmare (i just got it by the way) i somehow got it in the last 5 seconds!!!

I CANNOT get the 5th emerald no matter how hard I try. I tried for an hour and couldn't get it. There was more than one time where it felt like I might actually get it for once only to have hope shattered yet again. I'm about ready to give up.

The last emerald can be obtained in the press level once you get outside the boss area in act 2 of the press place go all the way to the right to get the ring note this ring is HARD to get but its worth it after reseting the level 11 times
So it seems you can only get one emerald per zone unlike sonic 2 where you could get almost every emerald by world 3
In sonic 2 you could get every emerald in world 1
I actually found the seventh in the golden place somehow.

The green chaos emerald was hard it took me like 6 retries
This guide leaves out so many locations. They didn’t even show one for Press Factory
The green Emerald is the heaviest
There is two way to go in to getting the chaos emerald
The green chaos emerald is such a pain to get!!😡 it’s sometimes throws a curveball at you like for example, whenever I go up, it goes down and whenever I go down, it goes up and when I’m close to catching it, it just swerves.
The trick is to always go the way it’s going, either follow it left (if it goes left) or right
But I’m pretty sure you already got all the emeralds still hope this helps

Anyone else absolutely hating the 2 player ? The amount of times someone goes off screen is a joke. Frames drop like crazy when they join back too. The single player is fine and the game is very good but sucks about the coop

The chaos emeralds came out wayyy before that. If anything they’re more like the dragon balls tbh. Tho there was initially 9.
