- Beaches, bars & resorts are just some of the options in Malapascua Island, Cebu, the Philippines. This island offers several white sand beaches and many hiking trails to explore on foot or by motorbike as there are no roads on the island but only trails. Scuba diving, snorkeling, and sunbathing are popular pastimes. There are many bars, restaurants with fresh seafood, and entertainment.
Cool place
Thanks.
i think that was my dad in yellow shirt 😁
Cool! Take care.
Beautiful beaches and resorts much to do be a great place to visit, an Ice ream shop would do well there.
Thanks BOOGNOW. This is my 3rd trip there and it has a lot to offer for such a small island.
Fabulous video! Well done.
Thank you! Cheers Mark.
Wow. Amazing looking beaches, and resort area. I could definitely get used to that lifestyle.

Sorry to hear about your dad Justin. I have lost many hours of film on the old tape type because I didn't download in for a few years.

Great blog thanks for sharing I love it
Thanks wealthy Pearl.
Malapascua Island, what a gem, thanks for sharing the view.
Thanks Tony. It is small but a gem indeed.
It looks like a great place for a vacation.
It is a pretty busy island with several nice beaches and no roads or much traffic John. One day I will want to visit Camiguin. I just had a friend fly down there yesterday. He is here for 5 weeks and visiting many places.
THANK ROD...MAKES ME WANT TO TRAVEL TO MALAPASCUA ISLAND...!!!
Thanks Donald. It is a small island but interesting and several things to do while there.

Very cool!
Nice view
Beautiful area Manuel.
Still love the way you change things up...great video Rod... keep up the great work my friend
Thanks Jim. I do try to mix it up a bit as different people enjoy different types of videos.
That parrot fish looks interesting! :)
Yes, pretty cool looking fish.
Thanks for sharing this vid. I wish to visit here someday. I am from Cebu Philippines originally.
Thanks Abeth. It is a neat little island with a lot to offer.
Very nice thanks for sharing for everyone I'm from cebu..
Thanks Girly. It was a fun visit.
Hopefully I can visit soon..
Miss the Cocobana Beach Resort in your Video but it`s a very good Video!
Thanks Rene. Yes, I could not get around to all of them.
How about roosters crowing early in the morning? I was there many years ago, and I was awoken early every morning by roosters crowing. The roosters are owned by every Filipino household and they are located right behind the main beachfront resort area.
Yes, you cannot get away form roosters in the PH Rick. Roosters, dogs barking, and loud motorbike mufflers most places. Throw in some karaoke also. LOL.
Great report Rod----it'slike a much more tourist friendly undicovered Boracay----better get there before it becomes overcrowded
Thanks Clyde. I had seen the beaches from a ferry and some videos so decided to take a day and explore a bit. Ideally, I would have my own bike and take a couple of days to explore the area.
my grandkids would be useless as a lighthouse keeper over there.....they can turn the lights on but just can't seem to work out how to turn them off
LOL. I understand.
YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, ME THINK. SOME OF US CAN LEARN A FEW TIPS FROM YOU, FROM CANADA HERE🙏🏾😁😇💯👍🏾
Thanks Blue Ribbons from Canada. I keep telling people that I am a good man. LOL. Try to stay warm my friend.
Rod's I'm running behind on my viewing. Good video though but now I'm behind another one. But believe me I'm watching every advertisement as punishment LOL
LOL. Thanks boogieman. It is easy to get behind. I am subscribed to 288 channels and rarely have time to watch much ....but I also watch the ads.
Your videos are excellent and informative. I always have to share them with my gf, who lives in the Philippines. I love how she says... " where's that at".. and when I visit, we have beautiful places that we'll go!
LOL. Thanks Spurlin. Many Filipinos don't travel outside of their local area.
That’s a great look around video Rod. I think I will need to return and hire the bike and driver next time, for a better look around. I’m glad you enjoyed your trip there .
Thanks Brian. It is worth it to hire a driver for a tour around the area as their is often much more than you can walk to.
Awesome video
Place looks really beautiful
Any prices for the resorts just for a rough idea
Thanks Dieselman. I met a Canadian who rented an airbnb overlooking the see for 9 dollars Canadian/day so there are deals to be had online depending on your dates of travel.
How much did your accomodation cost at the sharks tail? Tnx
1700 pesos was the walk in rate Ray.
Is the snorkeling here good?
It depends on what you call good Hollz. I did dive around some nearby islands and that is world famous but I didn't snorkel. It should be good as there are several choices around the island.
I'm retired in Tagbilaran, just gone here. What do you know about traveling around the Philippines camping out some nights in a small tent or hammock, is this possible? Really enjoy your videos.
Good question William. I bought a tent about a year ago but haven't used it. Security might be an issue in some areas overnight so ask the locals and other expats in your area of interest. I would love to use it someday. Do a search online for camping spots also.
Google Inaladelan Island Palawan, it's a private island where you can camp overnight. I was fortunate enough to visit and camp overnight in April 2019, I highly recommend it.
I was curious are there any decompression Chambers in case of emergency if someone gets the bends in the Philippines
Probably in cebu or Manila
Cebu Doctors' Hospital in Cebu City has a new large decompression/ Hyperbaric chamber that can accommodate about 6 patients at the same time. I think that there are some chambers in Mandaue and Lapu Lapu City, but not sure where they are located.
Regina gave a good answer. I suspect in time there will be more located nearer the dive sites.
@@lionhearted1969 Yes that's what I was trying to relay to questions about possible chambers. I had recently read in Sunstar Cebu about and was relaying info about the new Hyperbaric chamber now available at Cebu Doctors' Hospital. I agree that this chambers would be of note especially for those interested divers and potential dive tourists in the Cebu area. Thanks for clarifying further.
Rod,
Did you happen to see if there were any decent apartments in the resort area where the workers live?
Daniel
I did not Daniel. We were there only for 1 day. One should spend a week or month in an area to search for the right place to live, or better yet have a trusted Filipino do the looking and negotiation for you. I did not get any good answers to my questions about rentals but one girl said she would send info to my gf. Haven't heard anything yet.
German food too ! Wow, never thought that would be possible. But Squeed lol....NO !
There are lots of options on many of these islands with expats and their wives owning several restos Eric.

My email is amazingphilippinesdoitnow@gmail.com
@@AmazingPhilippines1 okk
You can get a deal on a room in Wuhan.
LOL. No thanks Daniel.
About how much does it cost to rent a bike and a driver, for the day?
They asked for 150 pesos/hour or 600 for the day. We paid 500 each for the day but we were done in less than 4 hours and happy with the service. They will wait for you at the different sites and stops and don't let them rush you if you want to relax longer.
@@AmazingPhilippines1 that is absolutely wonderful news. Thank you very much
It'd be great if there was a link in the description to a map of the area
Thanks. Just use google maps and search for the area you want to view.
@@AmazingPhilippines1 Yeah, I get that that's an option but why not include that in the desc for your users to click to see where it is you're talking about and be knowledgeable of that during the rest of your video. You did show a zoomed in view of it much later in the video but I would like to have been able to zoom in and out to see exactly where this place is Before watching the video....and to know which airports and ferries which are most convenient for me to get there.
Want to retire in malapascua or Bantayan
Thanks. Bantayan is much larger and more "laid back" I think while Malapascua is more of a dive/snorkeling island.
