Growing up in Chicago at that time as a kid, I remember everyone stopping everything they were doing & watching not just the game, but the intro. If you were out, you found the nearest TV, because the intro was just as legendary as the team. The PA announcer Ray Clay was so good, you never wanted to miss it. "And now, the starting lineup, for your WORLD CHAMPION CHICAGO BULLS!!!"
Those days were a lot of fun for us adults too - grew up in the south suburbs, moved away, then in the 90s I was in my 30s living and working in Chicago and felt like a kid every time I saw that intro.
I remember this era well. I had the opportunity to travel to Chicago from SE Michigan on several occasions to watch Chicago play at home. It was nothing less than epic! If this didn't get you stoked, you had issues!
You couldn't help but get fired up every time you see the Bulls get introduced for these big games. This, combined with the NBC intro during those years, made it feel big time. And it was.
Yeah but Portland played their best game in game 6 of the series in which they blew a 17 point lead and lost the game and series. That was so heartbreaking.
When you hear this song and introduction, you know MJ and Pippen and the rest of the crew about to throw it down. Still give me chills seeing the introduction.
I was so glad I had the WGN channel here in Cleveland so I could watch every game intro. I hated when the Bulls were on TNT because that channel never showed the intros.
I watch old footage and I see alot of celebrities court side at Chicago Bulls home games. Dan Aykroyd, John Hughes, Jim Belushi, Joe Mantegna, Cindy Crawford, the list goes on and on. I even saw Tim Allen and he's a die hard Pistons fan. Back then, this was the place to be.
What a wonderful memory of that time when I learned to love the Chicago Bulls here in Brazil at the age of 16 and all these players! What an unforgettable presentation!
BRazor92 fracmento remove the DVD (Ultimate Jordan) who brought that game and use a program to raise the resolution a bit, good thing you like, thanks to comment.
@@SmoovyNovaFan True. There's a CZcams home video of a guy that attached a camera to his car and just went around filming everything and everyone in New York City in like 1992. They said it was the same equipment/resolution that professional cinema movies were shot back in that time. The resolution looks almost the same as 1080p. It was pretty wild to see.
I remember seeing this intro live on TV in 1992. I was 12 years old at the time. To this day in 2023 (and beyond), it is the most awesome sports team intro.
Huge Bulls fan here, and growing up in Idaho during that time the teams were the Blazers, Sonics and of course the Jazz. Playing all three en route to 6 titles in 8 years was so perfect and it allowed me to talk so much s*** to all those teams' fans during the season and summer. Shout outs though to the true spirits and souls of the late Jerome Kersey, Kevin Duckworth, and Cliff Robinson. Very good players and people who gave back to their communities. Gone too soon 😞🙏
It’s not just you. As a west coast native I rooted against the Bulls for the whole damn decade and every time I heard this song I would think “These guys are too awesome to lose.”
I'm pretty sure the Bulls were the first NBA team to turn the lights out and do a really dramatic lineup intro. Way before their time with that. As a Cavs fan, I hated the MJ Bulls. But was so glad I had the WGN channel so I could watch every game intro.
Jon Bruner It was Sirius by the Alan Parsons Project, not Eye in the Sky. But Sirius leads onto Eye In The Sky which I’m pretty sure was the jumpball song for the 90s Bulls.
@@briancalifornia1 It’s a joke lol. I’m familiar with the music. I was referring to the Bulls intro music, Alan Parsons Project’s ‘Sirius’, as being intimidating to visiting teams. In this case, the Blazers.
Wow.....this just took me back. I was 15 years old and I remember the excitement I would have getting ready to watch a Bulls playoff game. It was a honor to watch Mike and Scottie during their prime........even though I was the only Bulls fan in New York City at the time!
"It was over when bulls music hit" Besides, some guy would hit 6 three pointers and have 35 points at halftime. He also did the infamous SHRUG. This all would take place 1 hour into the game!! Damn, what was his name???? I know his tongue hangs out......
As much as I love the United Center... Chicago stadium was just magical!! Fun fact the bull that was Center Court is Michael Jordan's floor in his trophy room now
Had to be one heck of an honor to call out Jordan's name in intros. With no Dad Jordan was what we looked up to because we knew he'd deliver but was my Idol
This one was the hardest team to beat in all finals the Bulls played in. Trailbazers had shooters including Danny Ainge. Porter and Drexler alone was problems. I believe that year they started 30+-O or something like that.
Rick Adelman Clyde Drexler Terry Porter Kevin Duckworth Jerome Kersey Buck Williams Phil Jackson Michael Jordan John Paxson Bill Cartwright Scottie Pippen Horace Grant
Once the lights went down and Sirius started playing the opposing team was already down 10 points.
Mainly more like 20 or 30 points. 10 points down is too generous.
Best. Post. Ever!!!
This still gets reposted 10 years later
Took the words right out of my mouth lol @@rjm22nd
Man I remember being 7 years old, soon as those lights went out at the stadium, goosebumps, and my heart would beat outta my chest. Great times.
Nothing like the old sounds of the Bulls @ Chicago Stadium to get my morning going
Yes I miss being a child and watching the Bulls in the 90s
I was 5
I was 9 almost 10 still get jacked up hearing this
100%... electric

+Blueblur22 Totally agree, NBC intros were the best, it was a golden age 90s czcams.com/video/rhyTOZp8Ra0/video.html

Damn right! The Bulls beat Portland, winning the championship a day before I graduated h.s.
My dad told me the same thing. He saidd the streets were empty when the bulls were playing
I always loved how anti-climatic "the head coach of the Bulls is Phil Jackson" was, he always looked annoyed by that
I don't think Phil gave two shits after his intro. He just wanted to coach the team to a win.
The Zen Master for a reason. Man was all about business 💯

I agree nba on nbc intro was legendary

This gave me the chills...
1:12 Nothing in professional sports ever put quiet the same fear into an opposing team than this!
01:12 that crowd scream...amazing
Those were the good old days. When competition was real and intros gave you the chills while pumping you up all at the same time.
MVP: Alan Parsons, for the "Sirius" intro.
People went straight to Chicago stadium after work .. forget the kids , I'm not changing , just a full out party.
when John Paxson was good at his job!!
Erik Hopkins i saw that 🤣
I remember as a young lad we were pissed if they didn't show this and they showed the starting lineup matchups instead
sad you now have to go to the game if you want to see player intros. we get ¢ommer¢ial$ instead.
Same
😂 you are so right !!!!
I was so glad I had the WGN channel here in Cleveland so I could watch every game intro. I hated when the Bulls were on TNT because that channel never showed the intros.
The spinning high 5 for all starters. Loved that.
this is why we all had our own intros...when playing ball in our backyards as kids.
Great quality!! Something about the Old Chicago Stadium that still gives me goosebumps👍🏽👍🏽

I'm a Spurs fan but l gotta admit the Bulls got the BEST starting lineup theme music along with the titantron
R.I.P Kevin Duckworth
Gives me goosebumps everytime I see this

Phil Jackson is wearing the most early 1990's necktie ever.

I used to have a crush on Phil Jackson😻😻😻.... I thought he was very cute!!! Especially when he shaves
Always liked Horace!! He was the lunch pail kid!!!
@@endenhaden7636 seriously damn

The Bulls had the best intro music of all time. Watching these intros are better than watching a full game these days.
I remember witnessing this actual intro on TV. I was 12 years old and I have been an NBA fan ever since.
You can't help but be hyped from the Bulls intros!
This song always brings a smile to my face. It was a pure joy watching my favorite teams intro.
How did you get such good quality for 23 year old footage?

Santiago73 can you upload the whole game of 1998 game 6 finals ? thanks
people don't realise just cause most old nba footage in the internet is like 240p doesn't mean it was broadcasted in 240p
Santiago73 I think all old Bulls full games resolution should be raised. That be epic.

The atmosphere is so beautiful when the announcer starts to call out Chicago Bulls basket team players and the head coach
Is it just me or was THIS SO COOL that non-Bulls fans didn't hate it, we just wish our team did it first?

My God, the arena DJ's back then knew epic music. Playing Pink Floyd and of course Sirius by Alan Parsons.
Tommy Edwards (the Bulls PA announcer from 1975-90 and 2006-present) is the man responsible for that
Can anyone tell me the songs they were playing?
avyeris The visiting intro was “On the Run.” Pink Floyd. The Bulls intro is “Eye in the sky.” The Alan Parsons Project.
Jon Bruner It was Sirius by the Alan Parsons Project, not Eye in the Sky. But Sirius leads onto Eye In The Sky which I’m pretty sure was the jumpball song for the 90s Bulls.
After all these years it's just struck me that the opposing team intro music is Pink Floyd
favorite blazers team ever
2:02 - C'mon, Scottie! Show Benny the Bull some love!

Greatest and most epic team intro I ever saw and I say this as being never a Bulls fan.
