    The nose:
Oak, apples, sweet, vanilla, caramel, sherry, pears
    The taste:
    Dry, oak, dark chocolate

Honest and direct sometimes beats overworked or over complicated 'perfection'. I thought a bottle of Hibiki 21 I had about 8 years ago was the best I'd tasted. Still have a spare of that in the cupboard but that's from back when it cost £63 a bottle and not £450 like now. Anyway I think 105 is just brilliant and if it was a desert island choice I'd take a case of 105 over Hibiki 21. In the real world of course I'll take the japanese crate, then sell it and go on holiday.

I belong to a whisky club that meets every Tuesday. Yesterday, we had the 105, the very day you posted the video on your vlog. Weird. The group unanimously loved it. It rivals the Aberlour A'bunadh in intensity and flavor.

Love this whiskey. Brought a bottle home from Europe and can’t wait to introduce a fellow whiskey lover to my new favorite.

I'm really liking this whiskey now that the bottle has been opened for awhile. The price is fantastic right now so I think this is the perfect daily Dram!

I always find a second time drinking experience is much better than the newly open bottle of this whiskey.

The 10 year old age statement seems to go on and off the back of the tube. I have an old tube I kept that has the mention on it on the back, in the description, then this new bottle I bought doesn't have it. EDIT: It does have it, but the age statement of 10 years is only on the back label of the bottle it turns out.

I put a review on the whisky database a few weeks ago for this. Its so intense that its like being beaten over the head with a fruitcake. An absolute beast.

I had been teetotal for 10 years. Last year I drank for one night only (significant birthday) and had roughly 8 measures of this in about half an hour. Neat.
I have not had any alcohol since....But by god it was nice...

There is a particularly scientific reason why xxx proof x 4/7 =% ABV. Designed by Bartholomew Sikes, it was found easy to understand. So, 105 x 4/7 = 60% ABV; 75 x 4/7 = 42.8 ABV. Read it up please.

Compares well with A'bunadh and the Glengoyne Cask Strength (batches 2 and 3 were amazing while others aren't as good).

I’m finding the same here in the U.S. Son paid about $35 Euro for the bottle I brought home. The only place I have found it has been out of stock, but it runs about $105 when they have it.

Hi Horst! I have seen in the boutique were I usually buy my whiskies that they have a Glenfarclas 12, and I have just realized that you don´t have its tasting.
If there is a section of suggestions, this is mine then ;)

I would like to see you review some Canadian Whiskey. Crown Royal Northern Harvest which was voted best in the world by Jim Murray for the whiskey bible. Or another one, probably my favourite White Owl Whiskey, an amazing rye, also if you do flavoured whiskeys Hopped Wisers is an excellent sipping whiskey.
