I've owned one for many year's and it's been extremely reliable, I haven't had to fix anything, just change the oil and filter every few years one set of front brake pads and only one set of tyres in seven years, and I would recommend to anybody buying a new one just get the chassis and bodywork wax oiled then they just seem to last forever, that's what I did with mine and it's not gone rusty,
I've had my 2002 Jimbo for a year now and it just flew through its MOT. It's slow, noisy, fuel economy sucks ass (27 mpg around town 28 mpg on the motorway) and it skips about all over the place if you drive it with any kind of urgency. I love it! Who doesn't like doing power slides at 20mph around roundabouts on the way to work in the rain? It turns on a sixpence and you can park it practically anywhere there's a gap, all you need is a few inches either end and you can squeeze in AND if anyone parks too close and boxes you in you just put it in low ratio 4x4 and push the fuckers out the way! It's such a laugh around town and in the country and truly epic off road. Just steer clear of motorways.... fuck me that's a pain in the balls.
Pacifica611 I don't know why, I think they're great. But I'm not interested in sophisticated big SUVs with lots that can go wrong. I like things simple and a bit rough around the edges.
Not only the price but having body on frame chassis, live axles front and coils all round is great. I don't like independent suspension in off roaders and cars with monococ (not shure of the spelling) bodies are a bit flimsy off road and less easy to modify well
I like no-frills SUVs, all that's needed to get you off the beaten track and back reliably. I'm not so sure about the push button 4wd. I'm so used to 4wd SUVs having a gear shift sticking out of the floor next to the main 5-spd. gear shifter.
My dad consecutively had the early 90's Sierra soft top models coz my idiot sister kept 'rolling' them on their sides - first on loose gravel exiting a highway & the second on a mountain range road avoiding a truck that crossed the line. They were so much fun, we used to really put those things through its paces as we lived in a flood prone tropical location lol
Why buy the jimny though? there are other japanese 4x4's that are equally small and off road capable, and come in convertible too, daihatsu feroza, suzuki vitara (geo tracker)
Have one the exact same, terrible at highway speeds on country roads in WA, jumps about like a No Frills Sardine in a net, it's loud and gutless the car weighs 1.2 tonnes and is powered by a aspirated 1.3L 4 cylinder sh!tbox coupled to a 4spd Slugmatic Gearbox it's also got less room inside than a Smart Car!
pointless to complain about highway speeds on pavement. this automobile is meant for off roading, and it behaves on slow speeds in the city. you should sell it and buy another car if your going to drive on highways, honda crv, toyota rav4, suzuki grand vitara, etc
My beautiful and amazing Princess because not enough sales , since that big story about the suzuki samourai ... sales went down . Suzuki took a big hit in the 90s and 2000s
20 thousand ozzy dollars is cheap as chips to the presenter? Are Australians giving up on fighting for freedom and accepting slavery? currencies and taxes are the biggest scam there is, it's how modern day slavery is perpetrated

It reminds me of my 95' 4 door 4wd Suzuki sidekick. Only the 1.8 16 valve petrol engine seems like it would be better than the jimmy engine.
Wish they had this in canada. The only thing they need left on this car is a sat nav and cruise control
if in cabrio
2016 manual trans... that would be perfect!!! go anywhere ride. who doesnt like?
Going to buy one look at them price Still holds there Value? with Low ks still
Killerclown Thao they hold there value very well and have an amazing community who love them
Difficult to sale in Indonesia, as the doors only 2 at each side (L-R)
it's a 2wd in Indonesia, that's why it doesn't sell

Are they still solid front axle??
Yes they are, even the 4th Gen update has dual solid axles, and a stiffer chassis.
Donde puedo comprar un jimny en estados unidos
