Omg please don't light candles that are on the shelf, it's literally a fire hazard. There should be like at least a couple of feet of free space above a lit candle. The proof that you have this soot means that your sheleves are literally getting "smoked" and if the flame got any higher or the candle burned for longer at a time they would likely catch on fire too. Please please please if you want to light a candle just take it off the shelf and put it on a bedside table or somewhere like that and then light it
i usually only burn them for a little bit and don’t do it often anymore! usually it’s for aesthetic clips or if i’m filming a video and want a cozy setting behind me! also the soot isn’t too bad i just noticed a small tiny bit on of my shelves😅

Hi! I love your book shelf! This is the first video of yours I've ever watched, and I am in need of some advice. I completely adore the style with all the trinkets and books on the side and stuff, but it's to impractical to me. Like how am I supposed to carefully get them of without disturbing the amazingness? And then I want to do it be series, but what about stand alone books? How do you decide which series to put where? What about books where I have the first and last in a series? Should I do the stand alone series by spine color? And what about books where some are hardcover and some are paperback? Ughhhhhhhhh sorry I over think everything. But is there any way to decorate it with practically? lol srry it's a long question XD

It's so satisfying how all of your hardcovers are the same size! For some reason a lot of mine are different sizes, so it's definitely not as aesthetically pleasing as yours

I'm sure you have been asked this before, but how do you decide which books you want to lay flat and stack and which books you want to turn out and display the cover for? Is it mostly to fill space or do you have a specific vision/reason for it? Your shelves turned out beautiful btw!
