KITT is externally well designed, still looks good even today. It has the right forms and dimensions, first watched the serial in 1984 when I was still a kid. The interior makes me smile nowadays. Hope someone comes with an interior retrofit keeping the same principles but with today's technology!

It was certainly epic, legendary and unique. But far from perfect. Even de trivia-page on IMDB.com tells you all the mistakes that de crew made and that you can even see if you look closely.

Knight Rider Was a masterpiece of its time. when all people had was TV, it presented the technology in a very futuristic way! No Matter what corner in the world you take it, it will get the attention! Hope they make a new show with the same car!

i was born in 96 and knight rider started running on our tv around 2000 in Sri lanka. Now im 24 and to tell how obsessed im with Knight rider i have recently downloaded all the episodes to watch it again.
So many memories when I was a schoolboy, with this legendary serial. Kitt and Michael are our heros.
I used to watch this series in 80s during school days.
I still love its design and the music of Knight Rider as I love Airwolf

I love the little subtle updates to the dash, just like they would have been done by the FLAG, too.
I even love the slightly changed nose to show the turn signals and still keeping a good shape...

I think it would also be awesome if a company or multi-millionaire built this car with present-day technology keep the same exterior look but stick the most powerful engine in it. and incorporate all the cool software and Hardware technology of today including a decent AI and self tinting glass

Every car guy dies a little, specially her, doesnt know shit, i can read crap about it, but when you see the show, in the 80's 90's , that is a different story. Its fun a bit, when kids try to talk about comunism.....its hilarious and sad at the same time.

This is so far the best episode of Supercarblondie, nothing can beat a real K.I.T.T.! BTW, in Germany exists a K.I.T.T. replica too, but the steering wheel is not street legal, so the owner can use it only for demo rides but after that he has to change it to the normal wheel.

Knight Rider was a required liking in my parents house and it's not difficult to see why. My late Grandma thought that The Hoff was the best looking guy she'd ever seen but to a car guy like me it was definitely K.I.T.T that got me watching. That and the gorgeous women. This video just proves what an icon that car was and still is

According to the show, the car is based off of a 1982 Pontiac Trans Am. However, most of the cars used for the show were actually Pontiac Firebirds that were modified to look like a Trans Am.
KITT actually looks alot more Formula than a Trans Am. Probably closest factory looking KITT is 1991 or 1992 black Firebird Formula
