- Gamers are FURIOUS with Star Wars Outlaws pricing
With the reveal of Star Wars Outlaws release date and story trailer came the reveal of the pricing structure. Those who would like to play the game on it's actual release date will be asked to pay a MINIMUM of $40 extra for a three-day "early access" period. This has some gamers furious, and stating they will be boycotting the title to make a statement. While this does include the DLC season pass, since there isn't any concrete information on that yet, the main selling point of the gold and ultimate editions is the early access.
Do you think Ubisoft has gone too far with the early access asking price for this one? Are you planning on grabbing the gold or ultimate editions in order to get that three day early access? Let us know in the comments!

I’m so hyped for this, but this pricing is KILLING my hype. 😭
This is the problem we are facing with modern games. The pandemic pushed profits forward faster than ever and when things slow down, they have to please the shareholders. Meaning bigger prices, making sure their games are 80+ hours long since so many don’t buy a game for 60-70 dollars that’s only 30 hours. Also inflation, and so much more. Plus Ubisoft will have the license fee to pay so they charge more
hahaha, retired Geico spokesman
$169.95 if you're in Australia 💀
That is crazy 🫠
Yup game looks amazing but the BS Ubi is doing with pricing i'm passing . Its like that CEO of theirs said people/consumers have to get used to buying a product and not owning it. Once the servers quit being supported the game dies even tho we bought it.
looks amazing?.. wut exactly? the uglyfied / unise xfied lead with horrible haircut? the generic looking SW locations? the expressionless characters? the story tropes? the boring enemy types? the technology, that even games from 5 years ago look better?..
I'll get to it in a couple years. I have too many games. I'll wait until I can get the Ultimate Edition for less than $30. In some ways it pays to have an utterly massive backlog of games that keeps me years behind most people.
You can just buy the $70 edition, or wait. This drama is overblown. If the game is awesome, no one will care. If the game sucks, we can shit on it.
Exactly, I'll wait and see. If word of mouth is phenomenal, I'll definitely check it out but I love Starwars (check my username) and this game doesn't show anything that has me excited with anticipation. Especially since Ubisoft is involved, I didn't roll with the Ubisoft bad mouthers until their pirate game, and I was one of those people that got burned by Starfield, not again 😂😂😂
@@mandalore41 Yeah I see your point. But this game is made by Massive Entertainment, which has released 3 solid to very good games in a row, Division, Division 2, and the new Avatar game. So I'm hopeful, hopefully not burned 😅
I have no problem with the main character or the fact she looks like she should be a chain smoking waitress at a Elias Bros Big Boy or The Long Dollar, smelling like second hand smoke, coffee, bacon grease and cheap perfume. It is UBI SOFTs corporate shenanigans I find like all their recent games either underwhelming or turds like Skull and Bones.
It's not a problem. Pay for the game when you want to play it. Also, is it really that expensive? I paid £ 20 to watch Dune 2. Which lasted 2.5 hours. Are you really that upset in paying $70 for a game that will last for 40+ hours? Grow up dudes. What expectations do you realistically have to play a long game? Who cares about early access? Don't pay those prices ya noobs, sit on it for a bit. FOMO means nothing. Grow up and play the game in a few months, you won't miss out. You might even find out that the game is better than all the Yootuuubers could possibly say.
