- It's actually happening! Square Enix is going full multiplatform with their new plan called "Reboot and Awaken" plan.
It's been well documented that Square Enix has a long history with PlayStation and to some extent Nintendo. Over the years we have seen tons of games like final fantasy 7, final fantasy 16, final fantasy 7 remake and rebirth and smaller games like the world ends with you and Octopath Traveler have been exclusives to some degree on these consoles.
After the financial reports from Square Enix in May 2024 for the fiscal year of 2023, square is making some big changes after some years of below expectations in sales, profits and more (does not help that they are still focusing on nft stuff). Will we finally see all their future games on all platforms (PlayStation, Nintendo, PC, and Xbox) day 1 or will some versions still take longer? How were the sales for Final Fantasy 16, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and other games? What about Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3? Final Fantasy 17? Will Xbox and Square Enix finally work together? Let's discuss.

I play quite a bit on Xbox though a lot less since the loss of Tango, knowing FF7 would come there or switch 2 + PC, i think i'd triple down (got it on ps5 :D) on all platforms lol. Love that series way too much. I do agree with you about buying games to show the numbers, i almost forgot about the NFT stuff, so dumb :P
More games like Rebirth (in terms of quality before people think I just want 100+ hour games only) and less games like foam stars.
I think this can be good but I have to ask: WHY STILL THE NFT STUFF?! 😑

Square will be doing their thing, but they need to make games like Rebirth and stop putting out things like Foamstars. 😂
It's good to have competition though as well
*Square just needs to focus on Final Fantasy and nothing else 👍 Kingdom Hearts with FF characters 👌 Cloud and Sephiroth in Dragon Quest 😬 don't release a single product without something FF directly attached.*
