- Puss in Boots: The Last Wish has been taking the world by storm since its premiere. While the Shrek franchise has been as successful as it is beloved, the success of the newest installment still managed to take folks by surprise. Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is being called one of the best animated movies in years, and as a part of a long line of sequels to a movie that has been around for decades, it’s easy to see why this film’s success has made such a splash. If you’ve seen Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, you know just how many factors went into making this movie such a success and scoring it a whopping 95% on Rotten Tomatoes. That said, as is true with most animated movies, this film’s cast of voice actors made it what it is. The movie’s cast is certainly star-studded, and you may not have recognized some of its’ celebrity voices. Yet, beyond its star power, this cast manages to give the latest Puss in Boots installment plenty of heart and lots of beloved characters. Of course, we can hardly imagine a Puss in Boots movie without its titular character voiced by Antonio Banderas. The role of his love interest, Kitty Softpaws, was also reprised by her original voice actor, Salma Hayek Pinault. Other actors joined the cast to give famous fairy tale characters a new life, like Florence Pugh as Goldilocks, and Olivia Colman, Ray Winstone, and Samson Kayo as Mama Bear, Papa Bear, and Baby Bear, respectively. John Mulaney and Wagner Moura also joined the cast as the villains, Jack Horner and The Wolf, and Harvey Guillén brought the world Puss in Boots’ newest sidekick, Perrito.

Personal opinion.
While I dont dislike a single character and in fact find this cast of characters some of the best in an animated film.
Jack Horner is my favorite
One note: Lobo Meurte/Death ISN'T a villain but specifically an Overarching Antagonist. Death isn't evil, just a force of nature. Could be argued that he is infact serving as a Foil to Puss in the film due to Puss' disregard to how valuable his wasted lives were.
I have to disagree, Death is a villain. If death was a truly neutral force of nature then he wouldn’t be after Puss. Forces of nature don’t go out of their way to kill people unlike Death. He went out of his way to teach an arrogant little legend a lesson by killing him and removing his pride and ego. Death had a goal that was contrary to Puss’s wants and desires thus not only making him an antagonist to Puss’s story but a villain as well. Death even mentions that he usually and shouldn’t be doing this in the cave of lost souls scene as he admits to Puss that he is here to take puss down a peg because he personally pissed him off. Death also toys with Puss, even calling him food in Spanish in the final scene. If these traits aren’t that of a villain then I don’t know what is.
He is a villain, his motives were evil.
The guy who played Perrito is also in the Nickelodeon show The Thundermans.

I thought of how Peurrito doesn't hail from any known mythology or legend. I thinks there's a reason for that.
A legend known the world over becomes friends with someone nobody knows about, a nobody. A nobody who helped change his life.
I like that, that's really something quite special . .

Unpopular opinion: Eric Bauza did an excellent voicing for PiB in the Prequel Tv Series, the Netflix interactive, and the Trident as well

Selma hayek did great as kitty softpaws and i say that her performance was very cool she is a really great actress who is already a superstar in my honest opinion.
My favourite voice performance was Antonio Banderas' for sure but I loved absolutely everyone in this movie, Salma Hayek and Wagner Moura are not far behind :) and all the other actors too.

I didn't even finish the 1st episode of The Adventures of Puss n Boots on Netflix. He sounded nothing like Puss n Boots, plus it's not Antonio Banderas who plays him in that series.
