I know this is a joke video, but it makes a scary amount of sense. Well... Up until myne did nothing wrong.

That was by design. I used several scripting and editing tricks to make it appear to make sense when in reality you can debunk the theory with some very simple research.
Specifically on the scripting side I used a trick often used by mainstream news to falsely frame the argument. If you control what information is being relayed then you control the entire conversation. You can intentionally and selectively omit key counterpoints that goes against what you want the viewers to believe while highlighting your key points to ensure they stick in people's minds.
On the editing side I used a trick I learned on accident several years ago where you can make your arguments appear to be more believable my making people less likely to attempt to debunk them. Put simply a high production value tends to mask even incredibly large mistakes from the average viewer. If you talk and act with confidence like you know what your talking about then people will naturally be more trusting. Combine that with good baseline editing and small tricks at key points like at 9:41 to frame things in a favorable light and it really helps reduce the likelihood that people will even think to take apart the arguments.

This almost makes sense. The only problem would be that if the voice gengar (I don't know how to spell it) shield altered the chimera's perception of sound, it would've experienced the pain of the loud sound, but it's inner ear wouldn't have ruptured and started to bleed unless the sound was actually that loud.
I used some editing and scripting tricks to make it seem like it makes more sense than it does for entertainment purposes. In politics and main stream media, fox, CNN, and msnbc use this trick all the time so I figured hey why can't I try it to make this video more fun. Basically the one doing the talking is the one who frames the argument and with that framing you can manipulate the viewer by emphasizing facts that prove your point and omitting information that hurts your argument. In this case I emphasized the claim of naofumi 100% having a brainwashing shield and than some random trash mob gave it to him and omitted the fact that according to the light novels all the hero's have access to the same skill pool so the others would also have it and that the skills are roughly the same btwn heros so it wouldn't function differently for Naomi. Lots of other tricks too but ya, don't trust everything you see/read since whoever is doing the talking is the one in control of the argument.
Well, at least you kept me entertained.

I seen the first series maybe 10 times. I think the bitch and the king and everyone else was in on treating the shield hero badly. They know that the curse series needs to be unlocked so they do everything to get it done and hands down episode 6 is the best episode. That's my take.

I would like to point out, as the spear is designed for mid range combat he still has some support magic such as his fire healing we find out about in the Light novels. We also find out in the ln that Motoyasu also fought the voice gengars. Motoyasu likely has a weaker version of the manipulation spear. Allowing him slight resistance which is why Motoyasu still believes in Malty despite the overwhelming evidence against her through Naofumis manipulations
SHHHHHH I know that he also fought the voice gengar in the light novel!!! I purposely didn't mention that in the video because it would detract from my claims and ruin the fun of the fake theory.

I have several ideas for what I plan to make next but whatever I chose it likely won't be finished anytime in the near future. If I can find a light novel reader that's willing to assist with research and scripting I am considering doing some more shield hero videos. Specifically I'd like to do a video going through each book of the light novel and retelling the story as close to the light novel as possible (similar to a video I did a few years ago on volume 9 of sao except with better editing and research).
Other than that I'm considering doing that same idea but for either SAO or Accel World. I'm also considering bringing back my neptunia fanfic series where I make fan made cutscenes better looking than the games themselves and tell my own story. Considering maybe doing 1 of several troll videos including a "Rachael Did Absolutely Nothing Wrong" video (from tower of god), "Kira Did Absolutely Nothing Wrong" (Death Note), or "Dio Did Absolutely Nothing Wrong" (JoJo). Other possible troll videos would be a direct spiritual successor to my "Kikouka Is A Lizard Person" video including "Filo is a shape shifting lizard person" (Shield Hero), or "Anaak is SECRETLY a shape shifting lizard person" (Tower of God).
Alternatively I have a few more serious videos I've wanted to do for a while now including a 10 to 20 part massive series explaining what Kayaba's master plan from SAO was (a video that I've been researching for over 5 years now), an analytical overview of why Ore Twintail Ni Narimasu is the most underrated comedy of all time, a revised video editing tutorial covering very advanced editing techniques that most people are likely not aware of, and more.
Basically I have a ton of ideas but every one of those videos takes so long to make that more than likely only 1 or 2 of those videos will ever actually be made. Main hinderence for me with more videos like this honestly is research and scripting because I don't like research and scripting so I've been trying to find somebody willing to help with that for a while to no avail.

Honestly Naofumi ending up being a completely unreliable narrator would have made for a better story.
The original idea for this video was to frame things like that however I couldn't find enough solid evidence that I could take out of context allowing me to make that argument believable. This worked better anyways IMO.
