Only had 3 Ayingers: kellerbier, dunkel and urweisse. This one is amazing it is probably my third favourite beer to come out of Germany behind Schlenkerla Rauchbier and Maisel’s Weisse
One of my favourite brews to have come out of Germany - I have more than a sneaking suspicion that this is essentially just an unfiltered version of their Lager Hell, itself one of the best Helles I've drank.
It might well be - I thought the same - but it's still quite different - the mouthfeel is very different, and the yeast/sediment definitely adds something. The carbonation is lighter as well. I really think Ayinger Kellerbier is the most drinkable and best bottled beer you can buy in the U.K. It's just perfection. The problem is that is just disappears from your glass quickly. It's 10/10 from me.
Ayinger is good. The Celebrator Doppelbock is one of Germanys best beer
