    Nice video I just replaced my clock spring qashqai 2012 I am getting a angle sensor fault it all seemed to go back together ok but I think after watching this I will take it apart and check to make sure it went together plus I am having a nightmare with the steering wheel it’s not straight took it back off and lines don’t line up no matter what I try any help would be greatly appreciated

      Hey there! Thanks for watching the video, and I'm glad it was helpful to you. It sounds like you're encountering some challenges with your clock spring replacement on your Qashqai.
      Firstly, regarding the angle sensor fault, it's definitely a good idea to double-check your installation to ensure everything is properly aligned and connected. Sometimes, even a small misalignment or missed connection can trigger such errors. Taking it apart and inspecting the assembly closely, following along with the steps in the video, might help you identify any issues.
      As for the steering wheel alignment, it can be a bit tricky to get it perfectly straight sometimes. Make sure you're aligning it correctly onto the steering column spline. If the lines aren't lining up, it could indicate that the steering wheel isn't sitting flush or that there's a misalignment somewhere in the assembly process. Double-checking your steps and possibly seeking assistance from someone with experience in steering wheel installations could be beneficial.
      If you're still having trouble after rechecking everything, it might be worth reaching out to a professional mechanic or the dealership for further assistance. They can provide hands-on support and ensure everything is correctly installed and aligned. Good luck, and I hope you get your Qashqai sorted out soon!
      Thank You

    Im ordering one for a 2013 rhd qashqai + 2, some parts have 2 cables and some have 1 - can you advise which to choose??? Great video btw!!

    • @sanumotorswithcharlie
      @sanumotorswithcharlie  Před 7 měsíci

      I appreciate your kind words about the video, but I'll need more information to assist you with your order for a 2013 right-hand drive (RHD) Nissan Qashqai+2. It sounds like you're referring to a component that has both single and double cables, but without more details about the specific part and its function, it's difficult to provide a recommendation.
      To determine which option to choose, you should consider the following steps:
      Identify the part or component: Determine the exact part or component you're looking to replace or install. This will help you narrow down the options and understand its purpose.
      Consult the vehicle's manual: Check your vehicle's manual or consult with a local Nissan dealership or a qualified mechanic. They can provide you with detailed information about the specific part and whether it requires a single or double cable.
      Match the part: Once you've identified the part and its requirements, you can then order the appropriate replacement that matches the original part in your vehicle.
      Seek expert advice: If you're still unsure after consulting the manual or dealership, it's always a good idea to seek advice from a professional mechanic. They can inspect the part and provide guidance on the correct replacement.
      Providing the part number in question would also help me offer more detailed advice. Feel free to provide additional details, and I'll do my best to assist you further.
      thank you

    Buying a Squib ring off the internet and attaching the steering angle sensor would appear to be the cheapest way of doing this even with extra labour costs attaching the sensor to the squib. Am I right in thinking this? The cost of the Squib ring is now 200 plus VAT (£40) direct from Nissan. Are Squib rings reliable off the internet or is it a bit of a risk?

      Thank you so much 🙋🏻‍♂️. I bought the same car and just before I did a mechanic changed the clock spring. The steering goes slightly left. The wheels are straight and indicators are not automatically going off too. Do i need to calibrate or remove everything and see if installed properly ? What could that be please?
