    Nice! I did a free-form top, woven in both directions that looks very “rustic” but I like the way you will end up with a clear cable topping yours off. How about a tree next to each post so that when the post rots it will look like the cable is suspended between trees?

    "a foot thick"? lol.. a foot long, I'm sure ;) I put my willow cuttings in over this past winter for the purpose of weaving a hedge around part of our future mushroom yard.

    How about instead og one cutting pr 20 cm you put two and angle them opposite ways and end up with a mesh ( if that's the right word) ? Any conserne with this idea? And those 45° ,beneat the railing will they sprout and seal of the whole fence?
