This is the culmination of a lot of hard work and passion and we're proud to announce that myself and my team, including several members of Project ROSE, have started a new group called 6Bird Studio.
It's everything you've loved about my videos from before but with a distinct focus on coloring outside the lines and following our own creative ideas including original shows and fan content alike.
Cake Station will continue to make content but it will only be content I've made mostly by myself, my little escape to do whatever I want to C:
Big thanks to Shane Newville, he came up with the idea for DJ Bear way back but wasn't ever able to execute on it, so when he told us about it and we wanted to make it, he didn't divulge too many ideas because he wanted to see where we would take it.
He's been an invaluable member of Project ROSE, we would not have reached this point without him, he's played a massive role in the Monty style action community and I'll never be able to thank him enough.

I always loved how Monty turned Goldilocks invading the Three Bears' Home into a teenage blondie entering a nightclub and fighting a deadmau5 wannabe with a bear mask.

I read that and my idiot brain imagined Ruby and he teammates backing up, going "H-he's too strong! His vibe is too much!", and it cuts to him in the distance hitting the griddy while listening to Despacito vaporwave edit reverb + slowed-down binaural ambience 10hr mix.

The amount of character you are able to show through 3 mute characters with no faces is crazy. Love these 3 so much, also the choreography went crazy.

"Getting"? No, it's the same level period. Maybe because of better software, working conditions and group coordination but this one would garner quite a fan base if it was, say, released alongside with first 4 Trailers

I know that this has mostly been recreations of RWBY or stuff in universe, and why not emulate the master while you're learning, but I am so excited for when Cake and the team decide to go completely independent and blow away the animation industry

I personally prefer this to early rwby fight scenes, it feels like theres more going on but its still easy to keep up. Its also well paced so there doesnt feel like theres gaps in the fighting for no reason. Not saying early rwby was bad, it was great and still is, I just feel like this is better in some aspects. I also appreciate how much story telling you were able to do with such a short ammount of time and no dialogue.
I never thought I would ever see an animaton that could capture the euphoria of the original RWBY trailers, while still adding something fresh, new, and clever. But here it is. How cool to see stuff like this is still being made for the RWBY fandom after all these years.

i don't even know what to say! please keep it up! the choreography is improving tremendously, the team work and weapon use is cool love the base ball ricochet gimmick ,the glow to the glowstick 3 piece nunchakus are amazing it give it a rave feel to it. also kudos to the people that made the score i love all the remixes to the songs i counted Shine,Gold,Neon,RUBY Ova opening,This will be the day and i think i'm the one was in there too? i might be hearing something different though. since it was a story by Shane Newville 3:59 is this a reference to the Zwei fireball in volume 2 or just an idea that looks similiar? as this shot 6:32 is similar to previs dummies 2 when the 2 guys kicked the lady to take the goo cakes.

I've already complimented the fight choreography but the backgrounds here are awesome and the environment is utilized to make the fight more impactful. It doesn't feel like characters are just floating in the void since here they interact with the environment. I love the studio shaft feel to the background and its colors
Been seeing you pop up on my feed every now and then for 6 years. Seeing your insane progression is so nice to see. I really feel the Monty Oum style of fight choreography coming back to life from your animations. I'd love to see where you go from here!
Wasn't expecting to watch (NOT) deadmau5 kill (NOT) Daft Punk today but I have to say im both pleasantly surprised while also having a nostalgia hit. This is fantastic.
A fan animation of an entirely incidental one-off RWBY character throwing hands with -Daft Punk- Paft Dunk with some of the most amazing animated fight choreography I have ever seen was not what I was expecting but good gravy this is absolutely incredible.
I keep rewatching this. I am obsessed with the staff movements from this animation!
At this point just take over the show because whatever yall are doing is bringing back that same feeling that made me fall in love with RWBY when I first watched the trailers

What do you call a huntsman or huntress that is distrustful?, poachers you call them poachers.
The lore of the poacher: a poacher is a disgraced huntsman or huntress who lies cheats and steals, upon their deception, they are branded the mark called the poachers mark, those who wear the Mark have special privileges ripped away from them, and look down upon in society.
They are also banned in all four kingdoms, they're practically the black sheep of a huntsman or huntress.
Hope you like this cool idea.

Every part of this was amazing! I did want the music to be louder in the mix relative to the sound design to match the energy of the choreography. Everything was so good and polished I'm so happy I found this channel!

Jesus Christ, that was fantastic choreography. Excellent moves all around, especially from the Dunks and their creative weapons.
It's a shame that DJ Bear blended into the background so much with all the reds and blacks. Maybe if the walls and lights were blue and yellow instead like the Dunks, who don't wear those colours on their bodies so much so they'd still stand out?

This is incredible. Not only great fight choreography, but the teamwork and interplay between the characters is top notch. I loved watching the Baseball player and her interactions with Glow Stick Man in particular.
My only regret is that this didn't include more baseball related gimicktry - like Paft Dunk playing catch while bear tries not to get hit
Wow! I can't remember when I started following this channel but it was years ago, I felt similar to you, aspiring and wanting to do stuff as cool as Monty Oum. Its incredible to see just how much hard work you've put in and its paying off. This was fantastic, creative, original, and fun to watch. You, and everyone who worked on this should be proud!

Fantastically rich choreography! I like it more and more every time I watch it.
I love it. The way you "sell" the impacts, the movement of the combat, and the lack of truly outlandish weapons and techniques makes it clear that this isn't Team RWBY or Huntsmen level combatant, but remains engaging anyways.
I also like the idea that a lot of RWBY world's "civilians" have some form of combat training/experience. The show and most fanfics just often depicts randos as either total non-combatants or only use ineffective guns. But it'd make sense in a world of Remnant that there would be some sort of culture of combat/martial arts that would remain even after a hundred year of peace that DJs in the criminal world would know how to fight and would get into fights that are quite above out real life level. Kinda reminds me of Erebonia in Trails and I love it, gives so much understated live to the world.

Beautiful animiation the whole way through. The fighting both hand to hand and then with their weapons, BRILLIANT. I did have to pause a tiny when trying to understand what was going on in certain areas due to the colors being a bit too close to each other. Amazing work the that you and your team did! The bits with the staff becoming a nunchunk, the baseball scene, and using the baseball bat as a projectile really reminded me of creative fighting styles can be.
