Wow. This is painful. I actually pity him for his ignorance, while also being angry at how much he plays down a situation which is a daily struggle for so many people. On the plus side, while being tone deaf to the issue of poverty in the UK, it’s actually helped highlight the huge divide between this level of mindless privilege and the thousands of Brits living below the breadline.
I highly doubt anyone in Britain is starving unless they are so stupid they cant find a charity. In the US even our poor are fat, anyone in a western nation who cant find food is having a personal issue not a financial one.

The point is he showed massive insensitivity to those that live in immense poverty (for more than one freaking day. This is daily for a lot of people), which defeats the entire point of the challenge. The challenge is supposed to raise awareness, but to him it was a game for a day. I'd not say I'm poor by any means, but working for a year in a fish and chip shop for 4 quid an hour (i'm 16) you get a different appreciation for money. I can't understand how someone can be so blind to how the rest of the UK lives, I'd like to see him live on a quid every day for a week using only things that someone on £1 can afford: no gym, no personal trainer, no clothes, no travelling as a mile in a car is around 13p in fuel.

Well when you didn’t grow up poor and homeless, you can’t really be anything but “out of touch”, how can you truly understand what homeless people go through when you’ve never been in their situation? I understand why people are upset over the video at the same time I think everyone is blowing it out of proportion. People are using food banks up and down this country to feed themselves and their families. He's so wondering how he can get A LOT of food for £1. Face reality, people are going hungry day in, day out. Parents starving themselves so their children can eat. 2 houses, 1 flat, 4 cars, buying useless stuff day in day out. He can never imagine what it's like for normal people, let alone those living in poverty
