You can criticize the repetition in any genre, Jeremy:
"How many times can the superhero save the day?" Infinite times. Infinity gem times ten.
It's how its done that matters.
Not the same, your comparing a genre that being super heroes to a massive cliché that drags thought the movie. he's not dissing all romantic films that have dual love interests but the whole fatal attraction thing which is done to death.

I'm Black and I gotta say we suck at making suspense movies. and Horror......But we seem to hold our own with comedy, Historical, and on rare occasions Musicals..
I thought No Good Deed was rather good
And Bio movies, we are kings and queens of Biopics. Historical? Not so much, Slave movies has got o go! I want a historical war movie of Black heroes. (Too bad racism still exists. )

Morris Chestnut and Michael Ealy are staples for African American movies.
It's like people you HAVE to have in every black movie. It's cool though cause they're good actors.
I am interested in seeing how they would portray this story, despite it being overdone 20,000 times.

Gotta say, I'm kinda freaked out now: just watched this with my partner whilst he was flicking through a Star Wars book. Far too close to Jeremy's description for comfort...
What I really did like from this movie is how the stalker character and overall the whole vibe from the movie changed after just once scene.
It went from mild romantic drama to a stalker film. Sure wasn't PERFECT, but it was good!
So the next item on my Jeremy Jahns playlist is "The Visit"...... This'll be fun.
I think a movie like this would be fun if it starred Nicholas Cage.

This movie was being marketed the exact same way as "No Good Deed" it even has the same release window (NGD was released Sept 12th last year).

+Gresh854 We have like six movies coming out next weekend, three of which I am DEFINITELY looking forward to: Everest (looks SO INTENSE, even MORE so for a movie based on something that ACTUALLY happened! It was an incident in '96, you can look it up, and I'm ACTUALLY considering seeing it… in IMAX!), Maze Runner (I really dug the first one), and I think Black Mass I can add now, seeing as reviews are REALLY GOOD for it, as I figured they probably would be, and I just felt maybe I could see it if I had time. We also have Pawn Sacrifice (which I think is limited, I could be wrong), Sicario (which IS limited next week, and expands October 2, so that's why I didn't really count that one, as much as I'm looking forward to it as well), and Captive (which is based on something that actually happened).
+Gresh854 Speaking of October 2, that kind of gives me three movies to see THAT weekend: Sicario, The Martian, and The Walk… if I'm missing one (which I'm sure I am), let me know.

So I just got done watching this movie.... trust me SHE wanted to see it not me lol it was ok I guess really predictable, but one thing I will say is that no lie Carter in this movie reminded me alot of THE JOKER. No really he does, he's smart, charming, manipulate, get inside people head, breaks you down, get away with murder TWICE and that interrogation scene come one that was straight up joker from the Dark Knight. I was like damn if there was a black, good looking joker it's him lol

jeramy just to let u know when u play The Phantom Pain DON'T use quiet in main ops missions 29 and 42 there is a bug on there that may corrupt ur save data if u use her on those missions I just wanted to let u know about it as I found out just recently

I'll be really interested in your opinion of Me, Earl and the Dying Girl. I thought it was a great little movie. Definitely out of my usual genre. Also thought it was infinitesimally better then the Fault in Our Stars...then again, I shouldn't really compare the two as the former one is a story of Friendship as opposed to a doomed romance.

I went in kicking and screaming by my girlfriend because I thought it would be crap. I was thoroughly surprised. It definitely exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed it. I would say go see it.

Falling down the steps is better than the Box Next Door and I made that observation from the trailer and first hand experience falling down the steps.

Hi, Jeremy, I am from Pakistan, your review style is quick and simple. I watch only those movies, which you say worth viewing.
Well this film was produced by Screen Gems. They also produced the film OBSESSED another FATAL ATTRACTION knock-off. So guys, anytime you see Screen Gems at the bottom of the poster know that you're in for a PG-13 version of a popular, respected R rated film. As a side note I met the head of Screen Gems (at the Westfield Century City Mall) and he eventually read my screenplay ROBBING HOODS. When I spoke to him latter he told me that Screen Gems didn't do my kind of film.
