I feel so much saddness for those who posr derogatory comments about Mrs. Gayle Haggard. She is the most amazing woman I know. Her faith in God in crisis, her forgiveness of others, and her marriage to her husband, Ted Haggard, and her commitment to her family make her in my opinion, a woman for the ages. I read her book, Why I stayed, and it was amazing story! She did what jesus would do. I'm sure she didn't write a book for money! In her book they were relying on friends to help them. So they needed money! So writing a book prob did help and also inspired and changed people lives and gave her testimony of what she had to go threw and Ted. I understand what he did was wrong. But Gayle forgiven him like Jesus forgiven our sins and died for them on the cross! Why is that so wrong? God bless Gayle!
She is the perfect model of a totally devoted fundamentalist minister's wife with all the right traits, i.e. a pretty, gracious, and demure satellite, yet amazingly strong going through a crisis. When he chose her, he chose well. The money from her book probably came in handy.

Yeah, I completely agree. It makes you feel ashamed that you could ever say anything "bad" about them, as if you're the one that sinned!

I am an atheist, and I find her story to be compelling.
I am halfway through her book. This is a remarkable account of love of humanity. I was enlightened and humble by her faith and struggle.
